Took the American Airlines Flight from MDE to Miami this morning, and upon arriving, and after disembarking from the plane there were eight CBP officers stopping passengers asking for their Passports and questioning random passengers. They stopped me and the first question they asked me was, "what do you do for a living" and the second question was "what was I doing in Colombia" (if they only knew). After I answered their two questions they let me go, but they appeared to be looking for something specific, I suspect something to do with illegal activities and money laundering, because after I got to the Global Entry kiosks, I again got asked questions by the CBP officer when he took my photo slip, which included do I have any food, how many checked bags do I have. So when I started rattling off the coffee I had, chips, etc. He just asked how much cash do I have on me, and after telling him he said go. I typically fly into LAX and have never experienced anything like this, and with Global Entry there, they just wave you threw, no questions asked at all. Anyone else experienced this flying into Miami, or is this just normal there?

That's normal Miami, and it's even worse the day after a Miami Vice rerun on AMC TV, LOL.

I'd be shocked if this wasn't covered before but I visited a few times in October. This is how it was last month, suspect they will fine tune things over time. Yes the bar has been separated from the hotel. You can not go up to the hotel internally anymore and have to walk outside to an entrance they created on the street. Girls are not allowed at the pool or lobby unless they are invited by a guest. I had heard there are girls hanging out in the bar now during the day, but didn't check that out. Though on several afternoons a bunch of girls just used the name of a guest to gain access and sat by the pool in the afternoon. Shame, I preferred talking to girls sitting the hotel lobby. Much better lighting and I can understand the Spanish much easier without the music.

He just asked how much cash do I have on me,

I was interrogated much worse the one time I did not enter thru my usual entry port.

Questions like:

How much money do you have now?
How much money do you have when you leave?
Did you not spend any money?

ME: ATM.

Many other questions that they know the answers already. It's like I am not allowed to spend time oversea. If they have an algorithm to profile people, the algorithm is not good.

I would talk to Robert to see why she was banned. If she was just fighting with other girls then OK but if she stoled from a client then I'd give her a pass.

Sometimes they will make an exception and let the girl into your room if you ask.

If they won't let her set foot on the property then ask why before meeting up with her outside.

I knew a 'Mansion girl' who was once banned for refusing BB sex with one of the owners, the Aussie.

She got reinstated after he left on a long trip to somewhere.

Damn I can pick them (I say that sarcastically) I'm at M2 and first FB I want to try is banned from Mansion LOL. Oh well I knew it would be a good idea to stay her first couple nights get my feet wet. On to the next.

Before anyone asks, Hotel Botero is no longer girl friendly for Vennies. They will not allow them into the building at all. In 2 years they never questioned me and this trip, they questioned every girl that I brought back, except the ones that they knew were Colombian. So this was my last time staying at Hotel Botero until they can do better about allowing girls to come back. I still found short term hotels, that allowed me to rent the room for the entire day for a total of 40,000 pesos, but they charge 10,000 pesos for every girl you bring back, so it still didn't add up to much and for me, the rooms were much worse than Hotel Botero, except the beds were horrible, horrible and uncomfortable to sleep on all night, but if you're banging the right chic, it really doesn't feel so bad, maybe until the next day. LOL. The 2 short term hotels that I used were, Hotel Zona Rosa, and Hotel Bulevar, they are in the heart of carrera 52 between calle 51 and calle 52, right behind the big church were the trannies be standing and you have to pay attention or you'll walk right past the two hotels as the openings are very small to enter, but you will see girls sitting on the stairs looking for dates. I have so much more to post about from my 2 day stay, so stay tuned. LOL. Pollo Negro is Out!

Woa woa woa! My guy, these are some wild allegations my brother. Are you saying that most women who are let's say middle to lower class have sold or are willing to sell themselves? I find such a statement problematic but I don't know; what are normal Colombian women stance / thoughts on prositution in general?

BTW, if that's the case, have you seen the slim, quiet & light skin / pale chica who works the front desk at Ayenda botero hotel? She always works morning & afternoon shifts, if she's on the table let me know because I loved seeing her every morning.

Don't bother with the workers at the hotel unless the bother with you. Trust me, if you are ever lucky enough to be in Medellin when I'm there, 99% of the coffee seller, also sell themselves, I would never post a statement like that without witnessing it first hand. I have much to post about my 2 day trip. I'm just busy at work back in the USA, but plenty of good info is coming on my next few posts. Pollo negro is out!

I always have 2 wallets. Large one in my hotel room safe with US and other currency, credit and debit cards, passport and other documents; and another with small amount of cash, low limit debit card, credit card sized laminated passport photo page and hotel room key which I move around with.

I roll the same way, however I don't carry any debit cards with me but just enough cash for two "ratos".

Having a copy of your passport or Cedula if you have one is important to have in case you get stopped by the Police. Additionally, its a good idea to carry a photocopy of your entry date stamp into the Country as you may be asked for this by the Police.

I also leave my "I" phone in my apartment, but carry a "burner" phone with my Colombian phone number, however don't turn it on much except to communicate with my El Centro SW's that don't have smart phones.

In all cases, everyone should have a photo copy of their ID with them at all times and leave their "I" phones locked up where their staying.

You seasoned guys have covered so much on here and it's much appreciated. I have learned a lot from these boards and I will leave out details that have been talked about many times.


For the guys that have never been to Medellin I would just go through and RTFF. Find what works for you and go with it. Don't let anyone tell you how to spend your time mongering. Take safety advice from the seasoned vets on here seriously. Much thanks to all the quality posts from guys like JB, Surfer, World Travel, PolloNegro and the others.

OM is HJ only AFAIK. Garage Spa is more of a regular grooming spa, again AFAIK.

Exposed wires plus shower equals no thanks. Thanks for the warning. I think that is one of the few "massage" shops that allows full service that isn't just a straight up casa.
