You seasoned guys have covered so much on here and it's much appreciated. I have learned a lot from these boards and I will leave out details that have been talked about many times.

On this trip I decided to book an AirBnB at the suggestion of another monger. Last time I stayed at a hotel and getting a separate room every time I found a Facebook chica was not going to happen. I tried to hit all of the avenues on this trip but did not get to venture the Centro scene. Next time for sure!

Most of my days consisted of a massage in the morning and a Facebook or Tinder chica to my apartment at night. On 1 night I had a massage in the AM, Tinder chick in the middle of the day and Lleras chick at night but this was a bit too much for me. By the 3rd time I was "shooting" droplets. All GFE with everything on the menu. Most were not too excited about anal. The girls I came across had bad experiences with it and I left it at that. Prices for all of the Facebook and Tinder chicks was 150 k but I always gave them 200 K..

The wires on the shower head are the water heater. There's a heating element inside the nozzle hooked to either 110 or 220 v. Always looks a bit scary to me, especially since Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters aren't common in Colombia.

New Life prices should be even higher tbh, I know it's in Centro but half or more of their client base are foreigners and I would actually prefer slighter higher prices for girls sessioning with less guys. Seeing these girls cards and noticing like 10 guys for the day was a bit much for me, it turned me off a bit.

Every tinder girl quoted me 300 k for 1 HR, they really go for 150-200 k for Toda la noche? If so I definitely need to do more tinder & PP the next time I go.

The massage parlors were all decent but one thing I noticed is that they all used a lot of oil. Way too much! OM Spa massage was decent and relaxing. I had a hard time finding a chick that could do a very good sports massage with lots of pressure. I am not sure if full service is offered at this place but I was mainly interested in a massage anyway. I finished the massage off with the chicks double the tits in my mouth while she jerked me off. On the next day I went to a place in the same building on the 3rd floor. It's like a men's grooming spa or something. Same deal with the oil and massage. This place offered waxing, facials and anything else you may want. At the end of the massage I asked the chick if any extras were offered. Cute little spinner chick. She told me that for an extra 200 k, she would get naked and jerk me off. No thanks.

Jade Palace Spa massage was just a bunch of oil rubbed on my back. On the flip she gave a CBJ and then I bent her over the table doggie. She was a cute 24 year old but did not have much experience. While there I heard a bunch of mongers in the lobby waiting around. The place only had about 4 chicks to choose from so the pickings were slim today. Before I forget, In the shower I got zapped. If you look at the shower head there are exposed wires on there for some reason. I went to adjust it without looking and got zapped. The chick looked at me and knew what happened. It's as if she had witnessed it many times before. So if you go in the shower, be careful and don't touch the shower head. Heck stay out if you can. For the guys that have never been to Medellin I would just go through and RTFF. Find what works for you and go with it. Don't let anyone tell you how to spend your time mongering. I agree, the metro is a definite sardine can, packed, during rush hour.

The comfort of a nice taxi would be preferred, however, the traffic will also suck, so getting a Taxi / Uber with AC may be essential.
It is for me anyways. Otherwise, you’re looking at a long, hot, noisy cab ride.

Normally I just take the plunge, in the Metro and go for the squeezed ride, LOL.

I can understand people who can't handle the rush hour squeeze. If you're claustrophobic it would be a nightmare. It's slightly better if you get squeezed in between a few chicas.

The rush hour squeeze is nothing compared to a rush hour interrupted by a 45 minute shutdown. The platforms were all packed down the stairs and back through the turnstiles (the be line running to Laureles) before the trains started arriving again. I was entering the Sur Americana station at the beginning of the stoppage and ended up on the platform for an hour. Then waited through 4 trains before crowding on.

Here's where Colombians are different. Instead of thousands of angry, impatient people, the mood was almost festive. There were people laughing and cracking jokes at each station where a few dozen more would jam their way onboard.

Your post is inaccurate so far as it relates to my experience. I cannot vouch for the accuracy or inaccuracy of your experience.

Others have verified that what I stated was factually accurate, but not in regards to your personal experience and preferences when it comes to you riding the Metro.

I was only trying to clear up the facts regarding the Civica card, and not anything thing to do with your personal experience, or preferences riding the Metro.

I'm on the same boat with the taxis and Uber. On my next trip I'll definitely give the metro a shot just for the experience. And like others have posted on here, avoid rush hour if possible. Whether it's the Metro or Taxis, you're going to be wasting much time commuting. I learned this the hard way a few times. Especially when inviting a chica over around that time.

The Metro during rush hour literally can be a crushing experience, almost like a stampede. Think in terms of being like a sardine in a can. Depending on the Metro Station your at, there will either be one or two entrances to the platforms. At the stations with one entrance to the platform, like at the Pobaldo station, a lot of the riders are going to try to catch the first train so they don't have to walk far. Always during rush hour, the the first set of cars are going to very crowded. Hence, if you arrive at a station like Poblado and there is a mob to board, it's best just to walk down to the end of the platform to board. Another thing that happens is lot's of times the passengers wanting to board don't allow the passengers wanting to exit to get off. And sometimes the riders will all rush to board. Imagine like a football team with the guards and tackles all moving forward in unison. As always best to avoid during rush hour, and as an example, at the Poblado Metro station, there can sometimes be a wait of 15 minutes just to get access to the platform with long lines across the bridges to access the Station. And they have Metro personnel directing the riders as to which lines to board and buy tickets. It can be a total shit show between 5 and 6:30 PM, and it's even worse when it's raining. So, rule number 1 is avoid the Metro at rush hour if you can, and if you can't then try to position yourself as far away from the platforms when looking to board.

Oh, and one other thing regarding taxi's. When it's raining, they can be very difficult to get as nobody wants to walk in the rain. A perfect example is in El Centro alongside the Museum. Sometimes when leaving El Centro when it's raining it can take up to half an hour to get an empty taxi. Usually there are guys who will get a taxi for you for a few coins or say 200 Pesos. They run around and when they see an empty taxi they will grab it for you. I use them now exclusively, imagine like a concierge service, but a guy wearing rags, hailing a cab for you, and opening the door for you!

I think you are right on both points. The civica card is a great deal if you transfer lines and use buses. Even if you don't, although the per ride cost is a bit more than single tickets, it is worthwhile because you avoid the crazy long ticket lines at rush hour.

Medellin taxis are an amazing value. They aren't very comfortable but 10 k to 20 k gets you between most any two points within the city limits. The Metro is a better bet during rush hour traffic. At peak times you sometimes have to wait for a train or two to pass before you can get on and it is sardine can city but you pass by all the traffic jams. I stick to uber unless I'm in a hurry and I don't have time to wait for uber to show up. In those situations it's much quicker to grab a taxi.

This doesn't make any sense, it's always the same price for a ride whether you have a single ticket or Civica for a ride, always. And with a Civica transfers to the bus lines are included. So your information is inaccurate. And as far as the long lines of people buying tickets, it's not because a single ticket is cheaper than a Civica. The reality is that the majority of the riders on the Metro have Civica cards so, 1) they do not have to wait in lines to buy individual tickets, and 2) enjoy the cost savings associated with the inclusion of the bus lines at no cost by using a Civica.

One of the posters identified a link to an article on the Metro which will help everyone have a better understanding of the Metro system, the fares, and the Civica, etc.

Well 1st off I was so exhausted from the flight down from Austin leaving at 522 AM before with only 3 hours of Xanax induced sleep I couldn't do too much my first day. ATX such a growing region hopefully they at least add a direct flight to BOG soon. Anyways even if I used my dated contact list those chics long either upgraded themselves or out the biz. And with travel fatigue coming from ATX (12 hours flight airport time etc.) I proly would of made huge mistakes. So my first night just hunkered close to home in my nice Poblado renta only a 3 minute walk to fine dining, grocery store and nice eye candy even though they "not in the biz".

Day 2 still tired but after had a good meal at Crepes-and-Waffels Lieras by 4 PM was ready to pound. Took the Metro to Estadio then made the walk to Energy. Was going to try New Life but it was later in the day and figured most good pickings now very tired in their legs. Great lineup at Energy about 12 chicas all I would DO. Selected red hair dyed Samantha cause if the girl petite and hot that red hair thing just s frieks me out. I don't normally pay extras but wanted good strong DFTK which she provided and I very happy with. One a down note just could not get my pene much into her she so so tight even after multi-pos. I was hard enough think a lot to do with the very low to the ground massage beds had to mish or doggie since her legs too tired to CG.

Day 3 went to New Life early before the hoard and much better outcome. Mi pene fit much better into the short flaca.

Saving a day long trip to Centro once I am a little more altitude adjusted. Plan to get a day hotel for the action and can hang all day not worrying out checking in and out of more god-damn hotels while keeping my nice Poblado rental for my evening relaxation and rest.

Speaking of evening fun hit Llerras tonight for first time in 5 years and as touristy as it is it is still fun to people watch and if like me to enjoy the EDM house music as well as sitting in a bar alongside the street and having many opportunities present themselves although many seem jail-b-date, worn or major problems. This types of chicks as mentioned in other threads require a thorough "background check" LOL. Also saw a pack of 4-5 venies also which I plan to completely exploit in El Centro this week. Specifically I like a pregger venie so I do not have to worry about knocking her up sin condom and/or getting red on my pene!

This trip I may take a day trip to Bucaramanga or Barranquilla so do not have to change around hotels so much.

I find taxis very reasonably priced in Medellin and use them. Some years ago I tried the metro and bought a civica card which you can top up but I found that I was not getting the value for what I paid and was actually paying more per trip than what I paid for a single way ticket. Now there are always long lines of locals buying single tickets; I suspect the reason.

It makes senses there would be a discount with the civica. Most metro systems do it that way. Honestly, I've never checked. It's not a big difference but it can add up over the years.

It's amazing that there are members who are of the belief that a Civica costs more to use the Metro than buying single tickets. With out even reading what is contained in the article, it is a no brainier that the Civica saves you money. How do I know this, because the majority of the riders, including myself, use a Civica card.

I suppose for someone who hasn't ridden the Metro recently, they would not be aware of all the riders using them. If the Civica card actually cost more money to use than the Metro single tickets, nobody would use it, and it wouldn't exist.

The 2019 standard Medelln Metro fare with a Civica card is 2,255 pesos ($0.69), which is up from 2,125 pesos in 2018 and up from 2,000 pesos in 2017.

The standard fare in 2019 if you dont have a Civica card is 2,550 pesos ($0.79), which is up from 2,400 pesos in 2018.

So, you save 295 pesos (11.6 percent) per standard trip with a Civica card. As a result of using a Civica card I estimate I save over $60 USD per year with lower fares.
