Decided to visit New Life early today to avoid a wait. I ended up getting there around 9:45. Before getting to the good stuff I just want to offer a little advice from what I have experienced thus far. Taxis are great and cheap when traffic is light. I have gotten in the habit of trying to go with Uber during the majority of the day. There are many more cars on the road and traffic is chaotic. With Uber you will know your rate and with the taxi, the meter is constantly running while in traffic. Unlike the 2 cancels at the airport, I have had no issues using Uber on the few areas I've visited. Keep in mind that you will need to sit up front with your Uber driver to make it appear you know each other. This is a precaution since Uber isn't technically legal here. Just my. 02.

So back to the story. I arrive at the address and see the blue door. I have seen where some people have said that the location address may not pull up correctly and for this reason I put in the destination address for Restaurante de la Pastoral. This is a restaurant right next to the blue door. No issues at all getting there. I opened the door and before I could ring the bell I heard the gate buzz and it unlocked and so did the second one a few steps away. I waked up the stairs and was greeted by an older gentlemen. He walked me to the waiting room where I was alone and asked me if I wanted a drink which I declined. He said he would go get the Chicas. There was a lineup of about 9 girls. Only 2 of them were even on my radar as 7-8's and the rest were 4-6's.

First off, just a little note about the airport process and catching a ride to El Poblado. I arrived around 5 pm and the only people going through customs was our flight. I was through the entire process in under 10 minutes. I attempted to use Uber but had 2 people cancel on me. I decided to go with the white taxi. Weather was nasty and the drive took about 50 minutes to get to the Marriott. Total flat rate was 75,000 and I tipped 10,000. Got settled in the room and waited for the storm to pass. I had planned to take a stroll through Parque Lleras but the weather wasn't cooperating.

As we are driving I start to see the light of Medellin and think oh crap, what am I doing. My driver rode around looking for Playmates and took me down some streets I know I shouldn't have been on. Luckily the windows were limo tint and no one could see the gringo. We finally found the location and paid the fare of 15 k. I approached the security guard (doorman) and he welcomed me right in. The server? Greeted me and showed me to a table near the stage. My only saving grace here was this guy spoke decent English. My cell service inside the building would not work which means no google translator. He told me the beers were 6,000 and brought me one. He asked if I wanted a girl and I told him I'the like a younger nice looking one. I was a little worried as most of the ladies I had seen up to the point were 5-7's.
