I arrived in Medellin yesterday. When standing in the Immigration line, I realized that I had forgotten to complete the on-line MIG form. However, --I waltzed right through. Ningún problema.

Some guys were having issues with this form. I just filled it out right now on my cell phone in Medellin. It did work and I completed it on my cell phone but there are a few quirks here and there. Sometimes it is hard to find USA quickly on the dropdown menu because at times it is not listed in alphabetical order. But eventually you can figure it out and enter the information that they want and then it's done. So if you're having problems, just be patient and try to figure out what you are doing wrong. A lot of guys are making it over to Medellin so the online form does work. Like I said sometimes it can be quirky and it will say that you did not enter something when you did but just reenter it again and it will be fine.

If you are staying in Poblado, the Provenza area right next to Parque Lleras has a ton of great bars and restaurants. I was walking around and I happened to see the Haven hotel. It's a nice looking hotel and the location can't be beat. It is a few blocks away from the noisy bars so it looks like it's in a quiet street within walking distance. I have never stayed there but it is guest friendly and a lot of mongers like that place.

I've been reading this forum for a while in preparation to my first trip to Colombia. I think I read all the posts from this year and 2022. Thanks for all you contributions, my first week here was fire. Here is my experience, hoping my info can help out another person reading this in the future.

I am in my mid 30's, been to over 2 dozen countries (mostly European countries), speak conversational Spanish. Have mongered in Spain, Germany and Brazil.

As I have travelled a lot, I knew what I needed for this trip: burner phone, fee free ATM card and American condoms.
