Need money for an operation for her or a family member. But today I got a new one. Please send money my mother is in prison and I have no one to take care of my kids now? I am trying to find out why mom is in prison?
I used to think it was foolish to send money to these girls. However, about 10 years ago when I was living in Indonesia, a girl sent me a text asking me for money for an operation. I wasn't in country at the time and hadn't seen her in a while so I just disregarded it. When I returned a couple of months later, I found out she had died. I now think it's "normally" foolish, but there are occasions where it's justified.

Does anyone know if the casas en Centro are open on festivos (public holidays)?
Thanks.

Hopefully you are correct & I am wrong! Whomever is correct, doesn't really matter. The facts are I am a Gringo, in their barrio / city / country. They have a gazillion times more friends than I do down there & all they have to do is make up some BS story that even the cops would believe, then I would be in a world of grief. I am not trying to be a fear monger, just giving an idea of what could happen. I hope I am 100% wrong and that it never happens to anyone.
You do what you want to do, more power to you. I will continue to try to not [CodeWord140] anyone off, even if she lied or put misleading pics up. There are other ways to expose her such as posting on here. Which I do everytime I feel a chica has lied or misled me.
Anyway, good luck and like I said, I hope no body has to feel the repercussion of a Paisa who has had a door shut in her face or is miffed about a wasted trip and taxi money, albeit her fault.
Happy Hunting to everyone.

Got to agree with you. And by paying off the girl for her fraud, you are contributing to the perpetuation of the problem.

Anytime I make a purchase in the States or abroad I use my Amex Platinum so that I can accumulate points then I just pay that big bill when it is due.
I personally know three expats that live in Colombia that have had their accounts closed for the reason I stated but whatever.

Sure, in Colombia and in 99% of the world. Amazing that this topic has to be addressed again and again.

Anyone for any massage rec's for non-sexual massages?
I have been researching and found someone with great reviews & excellent deep-tissue, trigger-point skills. Her name is Leidy Madonna, but the problem is she's traveling in Europe until January.

I have begun researching massage therapists in Medellin on Google & Tripadvisor. I have an idea of pricing & types of facilities available, but have not yet decided on a particular place or therapist.
Do any of you guys get therapeutic non-sexual massages in Medellin? If so, please give me your recommendation. I will be more than happy to let the therapist know your referred me if you like. I am looking for one of two things:
1) Trigger-point massage done by someone skilled in releasing tendons & ligaments.
2) Swedish massage massage done by someone so well you practically fall asleep.
Because of my bad back I get a lot of trigger-point massage here in the USA, and I am used to a strong massage that actually hurts for a few days after. I would love to find someone in Medellin who can do that. However, I would be more than happy with an excellent Swedish massage therapist as well.
Please provide name & location of therapist as well as contact info. I do not have to go to a fancy spa. I understand that many independent massage therapists work out of small shops or even their own homes.

I do the similar thing. I have $ in my Schwab checking & 0 in the brokerage act. & have used only the debit card for ATM withdrawals for years now, no problems. I then use a AAdvantage card for AA miles for purchases in the states.

It would be best to throw them 20 or 40 KCOP for taxi money if you're going to close the door in their face. Otherwise you will be a gringo in a foreign country pissing somebody off. And if you don't at least throw her taxi money she will have spent some of her money for nothing. Even though she lied to you she is out her taxi money. JMHO.

Absolutely agree. I feel like a lot of people don't realize Colombians are very prideful people. It's not like going to DR or Thailand. These people are not pushovers. If you [CodeWord140] off the wrong person they have corrupt cops who will not take the side of a foreigner. They can easily put us in a no win situation.

Guess we will agree to disagree on that. I have never had bad service at any restaurant or any food I didn't think was great.
As to big butts, some girls certainly have them but I have had no problem finding petite either.
Very hot, good job!

Service at just about every restaurant in Colombia is terrible if you are expecting US service. In the US, within seconds of walking in the door, you'll be seated with menus in hand. A few seconds later someone will show up to take your drink order. Roughly 1 minute later they'll return to take your food order. Throughout your meal they will return every 3 to 5 minutes to ask how things are, see if you want anything else and generally keep you from really enjoying your meal. This is US standard excellent service. It has one purpose; get you out of the restaurant as quick as possible. If you're willing to buy overpriced desserts or drinks fine, but every minute you sit there without spending money is lost revenue.
In Colombia that type of service is unthinkable. To interrupt someone with a mouthful of food, or cut in on someone who's talking, just to ask them if they are enjoying the meal, is incredibly rude. Yes, it means you rarely have to wait long for a drink refill, but it also means you can't simply sit back and enjoy a meal.
Getting good service in Colombia is easy. Walk in. Sit down. Raise your hand to get the attention of the waiter. Whenever you need to get the waiter's attention, raise your hand. Repeat as necessary.
Never had any problem finding sweet and petite girls either. Big butts are not my thing at all. Only a few girls had butts that were big by my standard, which is probably normal by most people's standard.
