The problem with only using cash is if you are balling out for the night, you can run out of money and for obvious reasons you don't want to carry around a ton of cash in Medellin.

This is exactly why. I actually came to Gusto from La 70 where I had to pay cash for all the bottles we drank during the soccer game. I also know both bartenders, but somehow my shit got lost in the shuffle.

It's great to see you Slapshot. You were one of the bright lights of the pandemic. It's terriffic to see you are here full time and enjoying it. It's fucked up what Gusto did to you. This is a good public service reminder that the place is a classic clip joint staffed by entitled local pond scum.

It's just the level of customer service. If the guy stood up, took my number, and said, "I'll review the video as soon as I can" . Well, I'd have still ended up canceling the card, but at least I wouldn't leave the place pissed off.

Oh, and just a quick note, I've never used it down here, but it appears BUMBLE is a good alternative to TINDER. My buddy was on it his whole trip and had a few girls from his matches. It seems to me like a less popular app than Tinder that maybe the grillas and thiefs don't use and / or know much about.

You are looking it from a man's POV where you think having sex for physical purposes is okay, and I get where you are coming from. That is not how women take it. They will tolerate it if you are fooling around and do not get emotional with another woman but none of them like it.

As for why the women do not (and I can just laugh and see Mr. E coming in and disagreeing), it is because they feel inadequate. The women are taught, trained, raised that if they were better women their BFs, husbands would not fool around on them.

Chris Rock said when his wife learned about his cheating she turned into a different women, and that is what I have seen too.

IMO any guy who says my woman does not care if I fool around is not in a real relationship. And with the demographics in Asia and so many men and so few women, the days of the male sex tours IMO will be numbered.

The problem with only using cash is if you are balling out for the night, you can run out of money and for obvious reasons you don't want to carry around a ton of cash in Medellin. I always keep a burner credit card I use in the clubs to pay for drinks / ladies. The burner card is not my debit card and has a 2 k limit so in a worst case scenario of fraud I would only be out that much. It actually happened to me one time in DR. Out of no where I got charged a ton money after a night out and it was linked to a Walmart in like Alabama or something. My card was with USAA and they refunded the fraud charges but lesson was learned. As corny as it sounds, I also keep cash in a money belt for emergencies. I have a story behind that but it will make me look like an asshole if I post it. Don't ever run out of cash with a hooker with your phone dead and the closest atms not taking your cards! Money belt lesson learned.

I tell him the best way to go about this is to review the video at 3:32 a and figure out who processed the payment. At that point, we can ask the specific employee if they know anything. If they don't, then I will need to cancel the card. Note: There were no charges on the card after the Gusto charge. This manager is literally laying on a couch telling me he doesn't have time to review the video and I should come back the following day. I said, that really doesn't work for me, the client, because some one could use the card between now and then. He says, so cancel it. I tried to explain the headache of getting a replacement card from the US. I know it's extremely easy to replace a Bancolombia debit card, but that's not the case, for me. He continues on to say if he lost his watch, that's his problem. I ended the conversation by saying if he lost his watch in my house or place of business, I would find his watch, not take a nap on the damn couch while saying I don't have time to help a customer.

Go to La Isla, go to Fase Dos, go to the casas. Gusto is just the same worn-out girls looking for the highest bidder and is not a representation of what Medellin has to offer. I popped into Conejitas Grille Club (or whatever it's called) across from Botero on Saturday and there were actually a handful of decent looking girls.

I end up there over the weekend because I have a weekend warrior buddy in town. Monday night rolls around and I notice I'm missing a credit card. I piece together the weekend and determine it must be at Gusto. I check my app and the last charge is 3:32 a. I then check my DiDi app and my ride left at 2:18 a. So, obviously, I left my card and it was charged at closing time. No problem, even if they marked up the service fee / tip. All good, just want my card back; more so because it's from a US bank. I don't want the hassle of getting a new one.

I show up at 7:00 p to get my card. Security downstairs says there is no card. Two employees getting out the the elevator say there is no card. Everyone is telling me to cancel it and get a new one, EVERYONE. I finally get upstairs and the guy says I didn't pay a tab. I had told him my last charge was 3:32 a but I didn't say that it says GUSTO ENTERTAINMENT on the charge. He says it had to be at another bar because I didn't pay in Gusto. I said, if I didn't pay, then I should have an open tab that I would like to pay. He said no, I didn't pay and I don't have a tab. I remember the girls punching in each beer I ordered, but both bartenders are saying they know my name and I didn't have a tab. I step outside to review my bank app and screenshot the payment. I show the manager. He now shifts to it's not their fault and I should cancel it..

Am curious why you think it is important. I prefer the thinking that is more prevalent in some Asian cultures. Where partners accept that their partners have sex with others, as long as they do it discretely, and that it is just sex. It seems to me that the sexual act is really not important. On 6/1/23 it was 98 K. That has been the same price all year for me.

There is a sign, where you pick up your luggage, that informs tourists how much the taxi is -- and yes it clearly states 98,000 COP if you want the car all to yourself (a shared ride is cheaper, if someone is found to share it with you). But I know some people get a little paranoid as to what the 'right price' should be, so you can just check this sign in case there are any changes. Then you walk out the first cabs you see are white (shared) ones, but they will take you by yourself for the same $98 k COP rate. You'd have to walk further for a yellow non-shared cab, but there's no point in doing that.
