LOL, I didn't even know Quaalude's were still even a thing! For you youngsters Quaalude's are a sedative and hypnotic medication, popular as a recreational drug and club drug in the late 1960's and 1970's.
The standard one tablet adult dose of Quaalude was 300 MG and a dose of 8000 MG is lethal and a dose as little as 2000 MG could induce a coma if taken with an alcoholic beverage, the drug was discontinued in the United States in 1985, mainly due to its psychological addictiveness and recreational use.

Posts: 4026It's as I thought then, cripa and polvo are decriminalized. The bit about "repressive measures" seems subjective to me, even though it lines up with the original post about the Lleras luncheon with the prepago and her mother. "druglawreform.info" might not be the most authoritative information source but the logic feels right.
Colombia is relatively tolerant of the game when it's played quietly and when it's contained in marginal zones like Centro and Mayorista. You don't see "no to sex tourism" signage in those areas. I've said this before, I don't personally agree with guys pawing on chicas around couples and families having a night out. I'm not at all suggesting that is what led to ColombiaLover's misadventure. The police are seemingly under orders to discourage anything that even looks like it.

Posts: 469Finally got the list of numbers done.
You can now PM me if you need phone numbers of girls that I can vouch for. I will be in Medellin every week of May, have fun fellows. I won't be particularly in Centro, but I won't be more than 30 minutes away. Feel free to PM if you need a number. Pollonegro is out!

Possession of the quantity of a drug permitted for personal use is not a crime. Law 30 of 1986, article 2, clause j says that "The dose for personal use is defined as a quantity of marijuana not exceeding twenty (20) grams; a quantity of hashish not exceeding five (5) grams; a quantity of cocaine or any cocaine-based substance not exceeding one (1) gram, and a quantity of methaqualone not exceeding two (2) grams."
"Even though both the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court have made it clear that possession of the minimum dose is not a criminal offence, and despite the fact that the 2009 reform only mentions administrative sanctions, police officers on the street may apply repressive measures if they decide to take action against someone found in possession of a minimum amount, especially if that person belongs to a disadvantaged sector of society."

Me too! I even tried to show him the receipt! And he would not bother to look at it.

Posts: 4026I see no downside in having a copy of the passport on you. I used to keep one in my suitcase but I stopped years ago. I have a US global entry card in my wallet. That might not do since it does not have a passport number, only the trusted traveler number. If searched, no drugs would be found on me but a condom or two is likely to be in the mix. I thought weed of moderate amounts was legal or decriminalized in Colombia. No one seems to be trying to hide it.

Posts: 4026I'm sorry to read about your unpleasant experience. I'm extra lucky I guess. I never carry a passport or copy of a passport. I've never had to present a passport anywhere other than at the check desk of a hotel or of course at immigration in the airport. Once I tried to change money in Oviedo Mall and the clerk ask to see my passport. I just went to a nearby ATM instead. Maybe I look so sketchy the police don't want to talk to me. I see quite a lot of them around Lleras. I also notice them stopping people regularly.
I think I'm confused why a simple "we were having lunch" wouldn't have cleared it all up. I'm missing something.
