Haha, I get the impression that you are looking at a website of beautiful young women and thinking to yourself that all women in Medellin look like that. If you go out on the streets of a regular barrio and look dispassionately at the people that are there, I think you would have a different opinion.

These sorts of groups cross the line of what is legal, and I think it is safe to say that authorities wish they would cease to exist, so whether legal or not they will bring trouble on themselves. Around 75% are poor at least, 25% don't need your money and live middle-class lives. But even among middle-class girls, many want more money, vacations, expensive gifts, especially from tourists and high level positioned guys. Prepagismo is not the exact th same as prostitution, itäs often a kind a side project, even if they have a BF or husband, it's built in the culture since decades if not centuries. There are maybe 50,000-100,000 9-s, 10-s in Medellin 18-35 offering their services. Hard to calculate, but too many to handle. My estimate is probably to low!

My Spanish tutor lives in Bogota and told me the story of the 4 children aged 13 to 1 that survived for 40 days in the Jungle. The baby was only 11 months old and they all had no food or water and just survived. The 11 month old is a little girl. I'm a million percent sure that she is the toughest baby in the world.
