Useful to feel safe, even patrolling proudly the streets of El Centro at night

I never walk more then a block and a half at night in Centro, that's why I stay where I do, I avoid the red light blocks after 5 and make buddies with all the bouncers at the 3 strip clubs I hit. Any further and I am in a cab.

Credenza is the best you've had in Medellin? It's convenient and you get to see some nice looking language school students on the way in and out but I rate it slightly above average overall for Medellin.

Well all my experience is with Centro eateries, and most my Centro chicks are fine with a diner for $3 to $5 like BrasaPan.

I have done Hacienda which I like.

But none of those had the ambiance or food presentation that Credenza had.

Lunch menu may be different and certainly more romantic at night on the balcony, also price Vs quality I thought was outstanding, without the Sangria dinner for 2 would have been around $30, and that was appetizers, salads, main course and cheesecake for her, and while my fettuccine was just good, what ever Estrella has was god dam fantastic and I have eaten in 38 countries.

I am going to ask her what it was and go back there for it on my next trip.

Also when I went to Poblado with my boys, they stopped in a sidewalk cafe for lunch, about 2 blocks from Lleras, and the menu was 80 k to 130 k per plate, I ran from there!

If all you are looking for is sex with very high end chicks the mansion isn't really the place to go.

The girls at the mansion are mostly 7's with a few 8's in the bunch. But they are friendly. Will party with you all night and go out with you on the town if you like and are very GFE on average.

Here is the profile of a mansion chick that is fairly popular right now. She is good in bed and will hang all day or all night for about a third of the price you will pay for Vane or Jennifer Zapata's friends.

If you are a retired Green Beret from 7th Special Forces Group, Centro is OK for you.

If you are a fat paper pusher who lives in a gated suburban community who speaks no Spanish and wears a Rolex, cargo shorts and sandals and your last trip was a Carnival Cruise and couldn't fight your way out of a paper bag it is not for you.

Can you run fast or talk your way out or fight your way out? If not Centro may not be for you.

That being said most the low-lifes in Centro don't look like they could afford a gun, if I had a gun and wanted rob Gringos I would go to Poblado, so don't feel so safe there either, more Gringos get robbed there because more Gringos are there.

Personally I am nowhere near as nervous in Centro as the year I lived in a bad part of Washington DC and was one of 7 white kids at my high school, or the time the Tall Ship I crewed on lost the bob-stay chain and most of the fore-stays and almost the whole rig in a North Atlantic storm 5 days from land, or the year I spend dodging rockets and IED's and RPG's in Kandahar Province (2005) or the time I raced Daytona Speedway in the rain at 150 mph on a motorcycle. It's all about perspective and experience.

Me: 5 years in a crappy port town in Costa Rica (Puntarenas) , fluent accent-less Spanish. That's important, if some low life says: "Dame tu reloj!" are you going to know what he said? I suspect most the cases of "stabbed / shot resisting a robbery" are lack of language skills.

I have 3 years of martial arts training with a very old school Korean instructor who did unarmed Vs knife / sword training and 1 vs 2 and 1 vs 3 training.

I will give up my wallet most likely but then if he still wants to dance, lets dance. (vs knife or hand to hand, not gun unless it's going south anyway).

Without all that I might stay out of Centro too.

J I may go to Cartagena, just for the the Venezolanas. Apparently, no one has had a bad session.

I did, and more than once. One time, I had to kick out of my room two girls who were playing silly and making me waste my time and money. I had to give them some propina to not make them make a riot in my apartment, but it was a propina and not the money I planned to spend for the night with the two at my sides.

"Made in Venezuela" is not a brand of quality per se. Each person is different, coming from Venezuela or from Medellin. There are jewels and there are scammers or just plastic robots who want to get your cash as quickest as possible. What makes the difference is YOU and your ability to perceive situations and person attitude.

I've stayed at Hotel M several times and, overall, I like the place. I will stay there again.

But the fact is its just a PLACE. It isn't magical or the Playboy Mansion or Shangri-La.

It helps to stay there if you don't have much Spanish or if you are alone and would like to meet some monger buddies to hang with but if you have even a little common sense and experience traveling you will be perfectly fine NOT staying there.

In fact, although Poblado is a nice area of town it is obviously a disadvantage to stay in the area if you are just going to end up going to casas and strip clubs every day unless you like sitting in traffic.

The only person who MUST stay at Casa Blanca is someone who is from some tiny town in Iowa or something who doesn't even know what "hola" means and who has never set foot out of his little town in his life.

75 k a night for a double, OK with multi guests. In the heart of Centro though so if you need to be near a Hooters, Dunkin Donuts, Dominos or $200 Lleras hookers look elsewhere.

Day 6, Wed last day. Have to be on bus by 12:30 ish.

Manage to sleep in till 9 finally, me and Pollo and Stew get breakfast at SalonVersilles and I set up a date with Dulce my hotel, we didn't talk money, she got there looking smoking around 11 and I gave her 150 k and the last makeup kit I brought, she was super happy and did BBBJ this time unasked. She also shows up in a cute non-hooker outfit. (the purple top and tights).

When she jets I have 1/2 HR before I need to get the airport bus so I hit VeraCruz looking for a spinner to round out the set, see one right off on the corner, tell her I will be back and I walk the rest of the block to see if I like anything better, mistake, get back to her corner and she is gone. Damn. I hit a gift shop instead to get a poster size Botero print, nice, on canvas (30 k) and go get on the bus.

Spirit offers me a free round trip if I will fly out tomorrow but have to be at work and an low on funds by this point.

I'll will get home by 1 am and be exhausted for a few days.

In conclusion you'll notice I did zero casa's (Yakusa is sort of different) and the hottest natural bod was Estrella and the hottest enhanced bod was Dulce and the prettiest face was Diana.

The most fun in bed was the 30 k centro street rat. LOL.

Day 5 Tues.

We do breakfast, a little shopping, then Jerry & Chris want to move to Poblado, I cab down there with them to check it out, hate it as much as the last time, they check into the Green Hotel next to Parque Lleras, rooms were postage stamp sized I thought.

We cab over to the Mayorista red light block but 3 ish on a Wed is weak, maybe 6 to 8 girls, none very hot. I hop the subway back to Centro, do some street rounds, see my girlie Diana in her spot at Raudal, but tell her I am looking for El Pollo Negro, wander in Conejitas around 5 pm and WOW, I see Dulce, smoking hot bod, could easily work at Fase II, great bod if you don't mind some enhancements, I give her the 80 k and go upstairs, she is super fun, lots of enthusiasm and positions, get her number for later, have a 8 pm dinner date with my Fase II girlie Estrella, she comes early like 7 pm, so cute she shows up in a little bear outfit / jacket, I called her Winney the Pooh all night, we hit my room for a few shots and a smoke, we go to Cafe Colombo Credenza in Centro, best food I have had in Med, wow 10th story with balcony views of city, and whatever she had, clams I think, was about the best thing I ever tasted.

Back to the hotel for fun, she loves the corset I brought her, she has to jet by 10 p to get the last bus to Rio Negro, I hit the 3 main Centro strip clubs plus Yakusa and hang with Stew in BarraEjectiva but am buzzed from the sangria at dinner and smoke I did with Estrella so I call it a night, get a bite at 1 am with Pollo Negro at BrasaPan and hit the hay.
