Hey all,

Thanks for the advice earlier about whether to stay in Poblado vs Centro. I will be staying in Mansion / Hotel M since this seems to be the most conservative choice for a first timer. I'd like to take some independents from Parque Lleras back to Mansion and I realize it's a cab ride away nearly 1 mile. By your experiences will girls go with you to a hotel they're not familiar with?

Also I'm attempting to build an FB contact list before going but having no luck getting girls to friend me. I think I found a list based on another forum post (look for older gringos with a bunch of hot girls as friends). But adding them to FB has lead to no results. I speak no Spanish but can obviously use a translator.

Chances are, if you pull a girl from Parque Lleras, she's well aware of the Mansion. The only problem you will have is if she has been banned from the Mansion.

Here is the objective explanation. Think of any big city you know. Now think of an upscale section of that city (Beverly Hills, Park Avenue New York, Lakeshore Drive Chicago, Mayfair London). Think of the lower end neighborhoods of those same cities (South Central, South Bronx New York, Southside Chicago, East End London). The difference in lodging costs and distance between the high and low end neighborhoods of those cities is similar to the difference between Poblado (gringo hotel) and Centro. That is why mansion cost so much more than Normandia, there is the additional cost of paying what the owners know you can afford.

Why is that hotel so cheap. I stayed at the mansion which was expensive. If I would have known about that place I would have stayed there. How far is that hotel from the Mansion?

This is pretty far from the M. The M caters to mongers and provides services this place doesn't. If MDE is new and you have none to very little spanish than M makes it less frustrating. If you want to stay where locals stay and can speak decent spanish with minimal assistance than you can stay here. M like all others run by gringos rake the gringos because they know they can.

And besides that, it is located downtown where most on this forum seem afraid to go. The place I stay across the street from Normandia is only $11.60.

Keep it simple. "I went for vacation. " If they ask why Colombia, tell them "it's a beautiful country. Have you ever been there?"

This is the best reply you can give. He is trying to give you hard time, and you respond relaxed, implying that he is the one on the wrong side, because he misses all the beauty that is out there, out US border that he thinks he's keeping safe. At any rate, do not forget that you have NOTHING to be ashamed or guilty for (I assume you don't take drugs, either within or outside the US borders). Stupid questions are shameful instead.

If you're using protection, you have very, very little to worry about. Unless you're sharing needles or plan to be on the receiving end of unprotected anal you have very little to worry about.

MED Trip 2.

In my trip 2 report the 2 Sara / Sarah's have the picture names opposite the report names.

The good looking 22 yo from the VeraCruz block has the striped hair and holding a stuffed animal in the pic and has the wings and flowers tattoos.

Sara2 is in the grey dress and long black hair and worked at BarreEjectiva.

Are hotels in Medellin Chica friendly if so which one of them are.

Whew. That's a pretty broad question. Hopefully, you won't get flamed by anyone. You might be better served if you ask if a particular hotel is Chica friendly. Or, just stick with AirBnBs or rentals and ensure there are no issues before you seal the deal with the owner.

I've walked past it, at $16 a night I doubt they are too picky. It is one block from the redlight girls behind Iglesia Vera Cruz.

I'd go another $10 and stay at the Botero.

Sarah from the VeraCruz had the wings and flowers (I'd look closely at just where the flowers are tattooed).

Estrella from Fase Dos has her whole back done.
