It took me 2 years of work to get around 300 friends (girls) on facebook in Medellin, it's a lot of work, facebook game is not for lazy people.

Major Crackdown in Medellin Center Targets Sexual Exploitation.

A large-scale operation aimed at combating sexual exploitation took place in Medellin city center on the night of April 18th. This marks the third major operation of its kind in the city this year.

The focus of the operation was the area between La Veracruz Church and Botero Plaza, a popular tourist destination.

The operation involved over 150 personnel from a collaboration of agencies, including the National Police, Secretaries of Security, Health, Social Inclusion, Control and Territorial Management, and Public Spaces, the Risk Management Office (Dagrd), Migration Colombia, and the District Attorney's Office.

"We are continuously conducting operations across the city to implement controls against the sexual and commercial exploitation of children and adolescents," stated Lieutenant Colonel Mauricio Rodrguez, operational commander of the Metropolitan Police of the Aburr Valley.

The operation encompassed inspections of commercial establishments, hotels, hostels, and lodgings. Authorities verified compliance with regulations, the absence of minors, and the identification of both Colombian and foreign individuals.

Results of the operation include:

Six minors transferred to family protection services.

25 adults relocated to the CTP (protective care centers).

One arrest for personal injuries.

Six commercial establishments temporarily closed for lack of required documentation.

Since I'm mostly solo & my Spanish isn't great I don't want to get caught in bottle fees, exit fees, ripoffs so I doubt I'll pick up club girls. In CAR it was great, no covers or fees, walk in and grab any girl to your place & negotiate independently. Since I won't be desperate I can see if they bite low ball offers.

From there I'm keeping it loose since I don't know what to expect or overcommit.

It is silly to say that a girl is a true 8.5 to 10. As a number of people have said, one guy's 10 is another guy's 5. I know guys who only like slim petite girls so when you show them beautiful girls who are curvy, they say she is a 6. I have a regular Airbnb and the host doesn't speak English well and my Spanish is not much better but the communication is translated. If you can find a way to talk to the women then it shouldn't be a problem getting what you need from the host.

The local media, especially the right wing like El Colombiano would have you believe foreigners in Medellin are perpetrating a modern day rape of Nanking. It's quite something. The coverage has always been exaggerated but lately it's been next level. Any of you who were here when that sicko killed his girlfiend in Bogota and put her in a suitcase he left in a dumpster will remember the 24/7 coverage that interrupted regular broadcasting. Colombians commit similar crimes most every day and it doesn't get anything near that kind of wall to wall coverage. There is normally a small blurb about the latest body found in a quebrada or the Medellin River. I'm not exaggerating when I say it happens several times a week.

And to be honest, compared to other countries, Thailand, Indonesia even Cambodia etc. There are NO Tourist and Foreigners in COL, its a super small ammount.

My advice is to find a reasonable Airbnb that doesn't have a no guest policy explicitly written in the description. Then when you show up try to bring girls discretely. If it fails just book a hotel room when you are with a girl, there are options in Poblado, use the search function of the forum or better yet ask the girls in the Park which hotels are best and cheap.
