Yes this is what I'm slowly realizing. My trip to Colombia was impulsive my concierge in breathless Punta Cana is from Barq. She said night life was great, But it's OK my flights are booked so I can always change the city. I do 3 days in Bogota just cause I arrive there and settle in then fly to Barq. 5 there and fly to med. I'm thinking now I should just go strait to Med!LOL.

Nobody is going to rent or buy a Ferrari if they know nobody is ever going to see them in it. A moped is fun and will get you from point A to point be. That is why you call chicks that are good for fucking, but you don't want anyone to know you were with, mopeds. So if nobody will ever know about it why spend tons of money on the Ferrari when a moped will get you where you need to go?

Renting a Ferrari or a Shelby Cobra is about walking up to it, sitting in it, starting it up, getting the feel of a great machine and then finally driving it. That's what it's about for any dude w / integrity. It doesn't matter if anyone sees you in it. All that matters is you control it now.

So you stick w / your mopeds and stay in the shadows.

Each room is different, but on average the rooms in M2 are every bit as good as those in M1. Room 9 in M2 is the best (and most expensive) room in either house.

M2 is also quieter and has better breakfast than M1. And the views from the Veranda are great. What M1 has is ease of access to la Cueva.

You're right about the rooms, but I was at M2 in March and M1 just a couple weeks ago and it was better this time. Had like 3 eggs scrambled with ham, onions, cheese, plus french toast with a thick bread at M1 this time along with the fresh fruit & oj each day. Also discovered M1 serves Sunday hotdogs at 3 PM.

I have contacted the above and he sent me price and dates for M2. I RTFF and it seems it's not as good as M1?

I was sent 15 photos of the bed don't no if it has a bath or shower. Basically I booked the Charlee but I'm on my first trip to Colombia and the Mansion has featured a lot on this forum. Is there any other hotel I should be looking at?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Barranquilla is an industrial city that's crappy 51 weeks out of the year. The only week that Barranquilla is any good is when Carnival is being celebrated.

Instead of Barranquilla, consider Cartagena, just down the coast from Barranquilla. The action in Cartagena tends to center in Bocagrande. Myself, I preferred the Ciudad Vieja, the old section of Cartagena with old churches and museums surrounded by most of the old wall. If you stay in this area, consider Casa La Fe a Kali Hotel for your stay.

You'll find working girls in both Bocagrande and Ciudad Vieja, but your best bet will be Bocagrande.

M1 is downhill. I think you meant walk down from the M2 which is up the hill from the M1!

Personally, I would avoid any rooms that have shared bathrooms.

I've always stayed at M2. It's a lot more quieter, which is what I like. M1 has that frat-boy atmosphere to it. It is also where La Cuerva (The Cave) and the pool that everyone hangs at are, but you can always walk down the hill from M1 to visit it.

M2 is much quieter, the rooms all have showers w / hot water and cold A / C. The daily breakfast was fantastic! The walk down the hill was no big deal. The walk back up the hill was a killer. Both have pools however all the girls hang out at the M1 pool area.

Yesterday I pulled 600,000 Pesos out of a Banco Colombia ATM machine and when I checked my online statement the math came to 3,091 pesos to the US dollar including what Banco-Colombia charged me to use their machine. Are the rates headed back up again?

Rates may be going up cause I used bancolombia 2 weeks ago and when I got home I figured I got 2950.

It's true that the Oviedo Mall has lots of security. It's also a major target of ne'er do wells. My guess is the victim was targeted by somebody scoping out the store, or someone to whom he might have mentioned why he was going to Oviedo, or an inside job involving the store and / or mall security. Stay alert and travel safely.

Smart robbers go where the money is, it's not in el centro. All the reports in past 6 years I have been here involving shots fired in gringo robberies, I recall none in el centro, el centro is snatch and grab, then run, and hope the locals don't chase after you and catch and kick the shit out you, which I saw happen last night on Bolivar avenida across from the Nutibara Hotel about 10 pm.
