Downtown has the casas and a few lower end strip clubs, and that's pretty much it. Those can be a lot of fun. Medellin has world class restaurants and shopping, none of which are downtown. Some of the non-trash members might want to bring a girl over that doesn't have glue on her breath. Maybe a place that doesn't allow girls in that forgot their cedulas. Then there's the guys who might want to walk out of their hotel and take a walk around without worrying about being stabbed.

Maybe they just don't want to be stuck in the sewer after they've had their fun.

It is easy to initiate chit-chat with Medellin women but as soon as they realize you don't speak Spanish they lose interest. If they are pros, however, your money will generate the interest.

My good Spanish of today helps at lot, it's still not perfect, but colloquial. Even that help a lot.

Spanish intensive courses, individual or in a small group, can change the situation for your in weeks.

Work hard on the accent. A peculiar accent is harder to understand than if you use the wrong form of a verb.

English speakers must focus on pronouncing "are". It's the key.

And people like a lot when you use Spanish correctly, it's like they feel you have an interest in Colombia, not just another drunk gringo looking for strip clubs.

Because downtown where the hotels are is where the action is located. And there is also no problem bringing in guests there either. Actually that is why most of them are there; to fuck in. I know a couple of guys who stay in them long term for less than $150/month. True mongers don't have want to waste time or money running back and forth between Poblado and downtown.

Cali has a great music / dance scene and it's easier to meet non-pros than in MDE if that's your thing.

However, MDE is a prettier and more pleasant city.

Hotel is hotel, if you stay at upscale hotel you can go to the bar / restaurant to eat / go to pool / nightclub / gym and meet other cool people who are on vacation.

I know that some apartments might have some amenities that I have mentioned.

After having a rest and a shower, we hit to Bamboa first. Damage: 250 reais entrance, all consumable, 25 reais parking, 180 room, and 500 the lady, that all fore one hour. Nice girls but not many, as normally on Saturdays.

Many girls just say Bello, since it s rather far away, so that, in collaboration with the taxidriver, they can charge you very much for the ride to your place.
