    First Trip to Colombia

    Hello all,

I'm in the middle of planing my first trip to Medellin.

I have a few questions I was hoping the community could help me with:

    - I was thinking of going during the end of August / beginning of September. Is that a bad time of year regarding holidays, festivals, expos, or other events that might cause a price inflation?

    - is a 7-10 day trip for my first trip going to be overwhelming?

    - which is better? Spreading my time at various spots or staying at one place (like the Mansion).

    - besides the mongering stuff is there other stuff that is cultural or touristy that must I check out while I'm there?

Thanks for any and all the help guys.

    Ciclovia,

I enjoy on the estadio side of the river Tues and Thursday nights starting at 8 pm. They close a main avenue for bikers, walkers, rollerblade, etc. For several hours. I have a bike stored with a friend and we go out both nights of the week. Other parts of the city may have some routes as well. My route starts near Colombia Ave (50) and ends at Ayura metro station the street that is closed is ave Del Rio. Nice way to get some exercise and mix with the locals.

Do the math, take a hard look at yourself, ask the hard questions, and if she says she has a friend she can call or insists on getting you a drink or making you a "special" drink be very mindful!

When the pattern breaks something is wrong. If you have a guest you offer them drinks, make sure their needs are met, not the other way around. Besides Paisas are lazy-selfish bitches they ain't going out of their way for shit and mos def not for you!

If they offer to refill your drink don't let them!

    Think about it!

Not being a hater bro. Being real with you. Hope you can see this.
I had a bro just tell me this morning that he got stuck this weekend. He's a young 30's dude, speaks fluent Spanish, and is a Mede / Bogota vetrano. If you think it can't happen to me! I'm too smart, too clever, you ain't!

Be mindful boys. These girls are not your amigas; no more than the girl that cuts your hair, or the guy who parks your car at the country club. She might know your name and suck your dick but she wouldn't stop to [CodeWord140] on you if you were on fire.

In the game of life; when it comes down to her or you? She going to pick her 10/10 times.

I've just noticed that last paragraph somehow got rather mixed up, apologies. It should read:

Mayorista is cheap and (in some views) cheerful. Not exactly quality but plenty of places to take the girls. If you get into Mansion you are going to need somewhere to take the girl (unless you are exceedingly lucky and get a room there, which is not that easy without prior booking) and places round there are not cheap.

Daytime Poblado, even in the Oviedo Shopping Mall, is nice enough to give me a hard on while eating. But see the comments by others if you are expecting to chat up genuine non-pros. At Lleras I think you may get a surprise when your 'non-pro' starts talking money!

You may find it is discretionary if you are not a resident or known to them. It's not like a casa.

Will be in rio negro area of medellin (near hospital and airport) in early August

I will be having a small procedure done at the hospital there (SanVicente). Is there any local places I can go near there? Casas especially? Thanks.

    Eye candy

There is lots of eye candy for sure. There are just as many couples and families with children. Get a ringside seat at the Juan Valdez café on Avenida Poblado.

    1. Yes, my 20 to 100 budget is for hotel / apartment only.

    2. My max for any girl is $150 US so I think I can still go to Fase Dos, correct.

    3. The perfect situation for me is $30 apartment and $100 Fase Dos girl.

    4. But I will take any hot girl for $20 US too wherever that could be. (A Casa perhaps).

    5. I will take Thais Spa off my casa list.

    6. I will hit the casas earlier than 3 pm.

    7. I will stay near Park Lleras..

    8. If anybody has any hotel or apt recommendations near Park Lleras let me know. I thought I read several pages back abut some apartment was available for $30 US a night near Lleras.

    9. I'm going to be there on a Friday night and Sat night, so I want to see where the non pro hot chicks hang out for dinner, drinks and where they club at. (Appears to be Lleras and Poblado).

    11. How's the civicia (bike riding path on Sunday morning).

My 3 days I plan to do 1 daytime and 1 nighttime pop.

Casas- Fri-New Life, Sat-Zandalay, Sun-will research in next 90 days which casa is best.

Nighttime. Fri - Fase Do, Sat- will research, Sun. Will research (open to visits to Mayorista and Mansion).

Thanks for all your tips so far! Any more advice is appreciated. Especially the $30 hotel or apartment in Lleras area.

    Non-pros

To those of you who mentioned non-pros, you need to consider a few things before wasting your limited time in Colo pursuing them:

    1. First and foremost, you can't be staying at the Mansion. No non-pro would ever step foot inside there. If she does, she's not a non-pro.

    2. How's your Spanish? I'm not asking if you know "hola", "cuanto", and "chupa sin condom". I mean can you have an actual conversation in Spanish with a girl. If you can't, stick to the Mansion and MP girls.

    3. Can you dance? The way to a Latina's heart is through dancing. Not necessary, but helps exponentially.

    4. Can you get non-pros in the states (or wherever you are from)? If not, what makes you think it will be any different in Colo? It seems that some guys think that the fact that they are American will get gorgeous non-pro wet for them.

I say go and have fun now and gain experiences with whatever means you have available. Tomorrow is not promised. You may say well I will wait to save more, then bam the engine goes out on your car so you have to use the money to replace it setting your trip back even more. But if that mf goes out after you get back from Colombia then you will be on the bus with a smile on your face. Same as when I used to go to Brazil a lot then all of a sudden got a big pay cut at work. I used to tell my friends and family that I guess I will have to get comfortable living in a cardboard box because I am damn sure not about to stop going to Rio.
Thanks I been to domincan, republic I lot, I was just readin the boards and comparing, I'm not confined to $100 a day budget, was just reading your info, yea I'm not dropping $300 on chicks in medellin, for that, ill keep going to dr, but the hustle of dr chicks gets tiring. . thanks for the info. I'm just trying to get has much info, doing a week in September and rented an apt.

First time? I doubt it. If you are really not wanting to spend more than $100 (excluding accommodations) then you need to reconsider your vacation. Personally I consider $100 to be low. My first visit I spent $120 per night at a hotel (I wanted to stay at a hotel), and wanted to get to know Medellin first. I read the forums, got some good info, and then upon arrival decided to check it out myself. I try to stick to two chicas a day, one day time and one night time and possibly TLN if I have a good experience and build up some chemistry with the girl. If I look at dining costs, taxi costs, misc. And any unexpected situations where I need to spend. It's going to be more than $100 but I'm sure it can be managed to be close to $100 a day if you're just extremely careful and watch every peso you spend. I just don't think that's a good way to enjoy your vacation. Colombia is pretty cheap overall, so I don't worry much about the costs because I want to have a good time. I think after the first time it's ok to look back and calculate how much you spent per day, and if you felt it was worth it or you could have cut in certain areas and still had as good of a time.

Save up and do what you can to not worry about staying at $100 and under. If you are that concerned, then consider other places or just really nail down a strategy where you know exactly what you're going to spend every single day. But is that really fun? Squeezing everything in for between $ 55 and $ 65 a day

    Hotel: $16.
2 casa girls in the daytime: $30.
1 Conejitas or Barra Ejecutiva girl at night: $30.
    Food and drinks: $24.
Perfect. 3 nuts, a full belly, and drunk as a skunk: $100 on the nose!
Man you're spending a lot at $ 100 a day, forget the casa and bar girls and get down and dirty with all the street girls in El Centro. Sounds like you have a big budget for food and drinks when you can get two street girls for this!

Hotel Premier Plaza at Ground Zero- $ 11.

3- Street girls at $ 10 each average- $ 30 Sessions include BBBJ and an hour or more, and sometimes anything goes!

Food and drinks $ 14-$24 Cut the drinks down to a minimum or drink the firewater and $ 14 is doable!
