I can't knock guys that do that, if that's their thing or their spanish is sub par, or for whatever reason, however, like you say.

There's definitely a diverse amount of girls out there to meet and have fun with as well.

Me personally, I've been with very few Mansion girls over the years, though I've chatted with many and have 'tipped' many for cab rides, etc, if I liked them, and my days of running around centro looking at casa girls have dwindled greatly.

On one occasion about 12 years ago in Cali I was seeing this 22 yo girl named Mayerlin. One night we planned to go to Juanchito, which is right out of town where all the salsas clubs are. She asked if she could bring her cousin, I said sure.

Ricker has (ALWAYS) gone out of his way to help others, same w / Wilt (although more critical and usually right). BUT no one comes close to Ricker in just plain giving of himself. We are talking year after year. His contributions in the Colombian Forum are substantial and have helped many guys have a great time in Meddy like myself. When other posters were too busy Ricker was there and giving of his vast knowledge and I know this first hand in 2010.

So Nino, please cool it (as the Rolling Stones once told the crowd in Altamont, I was was there, I heard it).

In your original critique of Ricker you were overly harsh. Let it be, you can't defend it. We all have worth and we should move on from here.

RE Chica Pricing. Well I have heard some girls asking 200 cop for a short date but for the most part a Colombian just understands money in hand and then I need to spend this! LOL! Econ is not a core requirement in Colombia education system it seems. I'd say no 100 and down for casa chicas and the like, 150-200 for Mansion type girls and then the Phase 2, La Isla girls 200+.

Keep your eyes open that these 'dates' are not just girls taking advantage of the 'rich gringo', maybe bringing her cousin (boyfriend) along, as well as other friends so you can be the financer.

Of course I don't know if that's the case here, just keep your eyes open.

But we will see how it goes. I will def report back. The cover is actually 10 k but they require a 1/2 or full bott purchase. I believe the 1/2 bott start at 65 k or something like that. I was thinking of spending 165 k for good bottle plus 10 k ea for cover approx 200 k total.

From your posts you seemed like you might be new to the scene in Colombia and I just wanted to give you a heads up to not get taken advantage of.

As others have posted, there are some truly wonderful non-pro girls in all of Colombia, and most likely and hopefully your 'date' is among them.

Also as others have posted, the prices you mentioned do not sound unreasonable either.

As with most things, experience is the best teacher.

Contrary to some reports, I actually have been 'out on the town' and with some great girls, however, I've been fooled as well, especially when I was new and just intoxicated by the beauty of the Colombiana and new to the culture.

I learned from it though.
I don't profess to know any more about Colombia than the next guy, as a matter of fact, I enjoy learning from other vets, however, I most definitely do learn from my own experiences and mistakes.

Today, I, as well many other experienced guys on this board, can sense and / or spot a girl right away that is, or is trying to take advantage, and they are definitely out there.
Usually that little voice that's talking to you inside your head is right when it's saying, hmmmm this doesn't seem right.

This internet forum is great because not only can we get lists of places to go for fun, and get the reports on certain places and girls, but guys can share their good and bad experiences, and warn other guys of possible traps.

The obvious bottom line is to go out, enjoy life, have fun!

The contributions to this forum are directed to everyone who reads it. And, Ricker is considered a "big boy" here because he is a well respected senior member and over the years his contributions have been appreciated. My words are not meant as a "defense" or "fighting his battles for him. " As a relatively new member to this forum, it's only fair that you know the lay of the land, so to speak.

Occasionally, Old Parr, we have contributors that want to be critical of another member. That's certainly acceptable and livens up the discussions, sometime. But, if the "battle" you write of is based on the opinions of those of us who have been around and lived in Colombia for a reasonable amount of time, Ricker is the wrong guy to attack as if he didn't know shit from shinola.

Meanwhile, I wish you only good energy.

Socker complained about this a ways back. When someone contributes and has been contributing for some time they should be encouraged to continue reporting. Don't be a afraid to criticize others but don't be rude and afterward don't be resentful.

Too many board members disappear due to an unfriendly environment. My friend, Wilt The Stilt, quit the board earlier this year in part due to this. Although I argue with Wilt about stupid shit, I find him to be wise in these areas and a gifted writer, unlike myself, to boot. Now he is gone along with his many articulate, insightful posts.

Don't forget that this is just an internet forum. IMO there is no reason to get to upset about anything.

Only if we decide to pay them more. The thing is that when the Peso goes back to 1800 or 1900, the prices will not then adjust back down. I don't expect the one-week-a-year visitor to give a shit about this, but the regulars should understand this dynamic.
