Just arrived after 10 days in Cartagena and first impression is the place is huge. Any help would be great with that as well as any recommendations for first night out here. Fluent Spanish and experienced monger so worst case I will figure it out like other places. Been reading through the posts but a whole lot of useless information being posted over the last month or so. Would be nice if the admin would break the posts up into catagories ie. Lodging, chicas, locations. Anyway, I will let you know what I find here. Cartagena was awesome as always except for Tony number one who is an a-hole. No one should spend time near that guy all he does is stick it to you!

But like someone pointed out below if you go to a dozen of these places And sort through a 100 of these chicks you might find yourself a gem. I personally have never seen any thing in the 50k or below price range that I would do but that is me. Have seen women in the 100k And above price range that were attractive but casa sex is well casa sex. Best sex I ever had in a casa was in the blue room with with a costeña and I think it was her first day.

There aré a hell of a lot easier ways of getting a GFE from a hot chick in MDE than hitting the casas But hey everyone should have a hobby jajaja

GFE and casas don't really go together.

Anyone can go to the centro casas that charge 37K for service and see what kind of quality is available for that price. It ain't pretty but at least it's cheap.

I always pre-arrange an airport pick-up with whomever I am staying with or one of trusted few drivers I know. But I was wondering how others handle it when they are stood-up on arrival? I have never been, but expect someday that could very well happen. Sure I could call, but generally when I arrive in MDE, my cellphone minutes from the previous trip have expired. Would welcome any thoughts on your back-up plans or alternatives you have used when this happened to you. Thanks in advance.

Only use the white taxis at the airport, otherwise you could be getting into a gypsy cab. I always bring a pen and piece of paper with me and make sure the taxista sees me writing down the car number.

I always have a driver waiting for me when I arrive in MDE but I imagine they have vetted taxi drivers waiting at the curb like most international airports.

Also I usually call one of my regular Mansion chicks to put minutes on my phone before I get there. So I can call as soon as I arrive.

You sound like a budget traveller. But you are staying in el poblado?

If you want to save real money especially if you're traveling by yourself, take the airport bus service which costs around 8k to el centro behind hotel Nutibara. But will stop anywhere in-between.

Be careful with parque lleras. Personally that's not my cup of tea. It's a magnet for the worst of paisas since they know gringos stay and hang around there.

Have fun and make a report about your experience. This thread benefits from newbies' experiences. So don't take it for granted.

Arrived into MDE about 10 pm. Quoted for a taxi into Parque Lleras at 70, 000 COP. Went upstairs to the departure area for the old negotiate a ride from a taxi dropping off trick as suggested in other ISG forums. Being late, there weren't any taxis dropping off. A couple of pirate taxis offered their services but declined and would never recommend anyone to take that service. Went back down to the taxi stand where a driver suggested to take the Collectivo taxi into San Diego and from there another cab into Parque Lleras which was only about 10 minutes away. 15, 000 COP for each passenger in the Collectivo and other 8, 000 from the drop off point to our hotel. Very well organized and fast. In San Diego, the van pulls up and a flood of uniformed young people race up to the door and help you with your luggage and direct you to one of the many waiting yellow taxis. Gave the kid a 1000 tip. So for my buddy and I to get to our hotel, the cost was only 39, 000 COP.

I can see why the cost of the taxi was so high, it's a heck of a long drive into Medellin from the airport!

You can get some of them to GFE if you repeat a good deal with her. It takes a little time.

So I think the best advice is to go to my favourite place with no GFE expectation and screw hot chics (This is the Colombian way to do working girls as most Colombians and expats living in Colombia already have all the GFE they can handle with wives, lovers, girlfriends and amiguitas)

Sometimes you just want to screw a hottie.

My fav place. New Life.

Why? Because there are always 10-20 girls in the line up and some of them are dandies. Yes the place is "all business" in how they March you around and handle the money transactions (a constant complaint here) but the bedroom is still the bedroom.

Screw a 8 or 9 in New Life and if the service is meh at least you were with a hottie. How many times do you choose a 5 or 6 in one of the other casas hoping her bad looks = low business for her therefore a better chance of her GFE effort. But she's a dud as well?

If a guy can't find a doable babe out of the 15+ which are usually available well, homo.

Are you sure? That is a very low price, I've never heard of anyone getting a taxi to the airport for that price.

I personally would not keep $5000 in a hotel room safe.

Well for a private driver, it's usually about 40000 COP I believe. The last time I was in Medellin, we got a taxi to take us from our Hotel near the Mansion to the airport for 30,000 COP.

I'd disagree. Some of the hottest women I've been with in Medellin have been casa girls. Granted, the percentages aren't up there with the Mansion girls, but you can see 100 girls within a 45 minuted tour, there will be some knockouts on the trip.

I'm grateful to everyone that comments, reviews and helps out on the board. I find it very humorous how someone people just gang up on each other. I'm not knocking anyone by any means but what I don't understand how anyone would have high expectations when only paying 37k for service and 5k tip. Unless my math is wrong that's about $20 US. What type of service are you expecting? Again not knocking on anyone and their hustle or system I just don't understand what the big deal is. What am I missing?
