Thought I would give an update for any new people coming in for the Holidays or thinking of visiting or staying soon in Medellin. I have been living and working here for over two years, been coming here for over 6+ years. I'm moving because it is too quiet Sunday through Thursday and I need more excitement. So I need to move on, but it is a good place and will be back often. So if I can let me give you a starting plan.

For day through night time Women:

First, if you have a high rating system, then continue reading. If your 60+ in age and really believe that a 2 is a 9 or 10, just go to New Life or Fantasies in Centro. You are my hero and I can't wait for that day! Those places in that area cost around 40,000 pesos. You will be in heaven there. NOW, if you are in your 20s. 30s. 40s and you have higher tastes and a better eye site. And you want a 7 or 8 maybe a 9 continue reading.

Day time Noon till 5:

Right now the action is the best in over 2 years in my opioin (no idea why) , I would say the best day places during the day are:

1) Blueroom. 4 nice ones. 4 ugly ones cost 110,000. They always have at least one 8 there. This was the most I have seen here in 3 years.

2) Energy – Has a bunch of 6 and 7's right now. Cost around 110,000.

3) There also is new place that has opened north of Bello (They have 6 girls working and 4 were 8's, Cost 150,000). The girl that owns half of it previously managed Loutron and Abydos. Lay out is really nice, it has an outside pool where the girls walk down and over the pool to meet you (like Loutron use to be). Open till 10pm as well. Worth the drive to see (plan around traffic).

4) Loutron and Abydos really have sucked over the past few years. Nothing new. Loutron is over priced, but an easy stop to and from the airport. Place has really just went down hill and is a hit or miss. You will always find 5 and 6s there.

5) Centro Afrodita CRA 45 EL PALO No. 56. 45, Fusion CRA 43 N. 53-34, and Latin Candies at Calle 58 No. 45D – 104 were probably the best out of the 20 or so centro locations I went to. Ask if they do visits, some will give you a number and come over before or after there shift.

Early evening 8 or 9 pm:

1) Luna Campestre Av. 33 #63B 215 has some talent at times.

2) Lejano Oriente (or I call it "Java the Hut" lady) Carrera 41 No 18D-55 has 2 really nice gals. FYI this is the oldest and first place to be open in Medellin. Worth hitting.

11 to 12 pm:

1) Phase II is by far the best. It is a strip bar with hotel next door. At times you will have a few 9's. FYI, Don't bother taking any home. 3 out of 4 times problems arise. Just take them next door. It is around 150, 000 or so.

2) By the Intercontinental hotel, Phase II sister place that is near the hotel. They changed names a few times. It is ok, same girls rotate out of Phase II and work here, but talent is slightly lower. But is still Number 2 on the list.

3) There is a new place around the corner from Phase II for Foreigners and girls, but I have not seen many people when I have been by.

4) I really would not recommend other places. Some people like the 2 places (use to be 3) that are side by side in Centro, but it is a pretty shitty area. (Although a few months ago I found a good looking one there at 7pm). Just be careful in that area if you go.

5) A new place opened in Lleras called Table. Sucks. The same girls work in Centro for 80% less. Went six times over the pats few months and really bad.

6) 4 or 5 doors down from Energy, there is a small poker game that starts around 10 pm. It is located upstairs. Cops are sometimes in the place, so it is reasonably safe. At midnight they close the table and two girls go at it on the table. Worth seeing. Then if you want one, you can have either or both of them. Dirty rooms. I have seen a few really decent girls at the place.

Food:

Chef Burger in Lleras is really good. Two streets straight up from Chef Burger has three restaurants on the higher end, but the best in Medellin. Fucking Bad Ass Ribs down from Bogota Beer Company is good. If you want to get out of Medellin, Mundos 1835 is a really good steak place. 420 Bistro in San Fernando Plaza is good for lunch with excellent eye candy walking around.

Cell Phone: Get a T Mobile phone if you are coming from the states with the international plan. Works great. If you get a SIM card here, the minutes vanish in 1 day. If you get a plan your text messages vanish in 3 days. Everyone uses WhatsUp or Viber app.

Want a good massage?

Across from Oviedo Mall on the 3rd or 4th floor. There is a Mens Spa. For 1 hour it is 60, 000 or 80, 000 for a real massage. If you want a happy ending, ask and they will charge you 50, 000. They are really quiet about doing this act. So you must ask.

Sundays:

Wake up at 9 or 10 am and walk El Poblado if you are not too hung over. You will see some of the hottest women ever. Some people walk the malls, again not my thing. Although, I have meet a few women at the mall while I was there actually shopping for things by accident. Sundays and weekdays are quiet.

Beer Bars / Football in Lleras

Don't bother going out for a drink until 8:30 or 9pm. If you are a day time drunk, you will be drinking alone. Here is a few places

1) Patricks Irish Sportsbar.

2) Bogota Beer Company just opened. Really nice. Probably will be a bunch of higher end Colombians hanging there like in Bogota, but a nice place.

3) Irish Pub (3 or 4 streets up from Patricks)

4) Tiger Paw Hostel (small back packer hang out. 2 for 1 drinks 9 to 10 pm daily). Sometimes you get a good crowd in.

5) Some people like Hooters. I hated it. Service, owners, and managers are really bad. You can't get a beer if more then 5 people are in the place.

Wine bars.

They open and close so fast, you can't keep track. I do not know of any left open.

Discos.

There are many late night discos, but it was never my crowd so I really can't help, but you can't miss them. They are everywhere. You can easily get girls out late at night for 50, 000 in other areas of town like Bello. On Wednesday nights the best night club is located directly across from Tiger Paw. It is only good on Wednesday.

Taxis.

Easy to get and cheap. Always take one at night / after 11pm. I don't care where you are in the city, take one. Heard too many crazy stories and wrong place / wrong time stories.

Tour Guides.

If you want a tour guide, I have used William for years. You can trust him. I have left rent money for him to deposit because I was in a rush. Never had an issue. He is honest and will treat you well. He will take you around on a safe tour to these places. He knows everyone in town. If you need help with a Colombia I'd he can really help. His site is willisbestguidemedellin. Com or call his cell (573) 300 677 80 58. He charges 30, 000 per hour and can pick you up directly from the airport. Or just stay at the mansion (Greg's place). You are safe with both people. There aer a few others, but I have lost touch. If you ask any of the above places while visiting, they will probably have a few others they can recommend. I just stayed with William because he is flexible and reliable.

Monthly rentals.

There are a lot of really shitty monthly rentals. Before you commit you really have to visit the place. They love to throw a bunch of 1970 and 1980 furniture together and call it a rental, so they can make an extra $400 US a month on rent. So beware. Also, almost all places require 1 month lease to stay by law. So make sure you don't have issues with the building management. There are a number of cheap low end places for $1000 to $1500 US, but again that is not my thing.

1) Rich at FirstAmericanRealtyMedellin. Com probably has your best selections and quality. He has a large staff and is probably the biggest player in town. Plan on spending $2500 to $4000 US a month for a nice place. Worth checking out.

2) VRBO. Com is a good source as well. Ed has an awesome place. I really enjoyed staying there:

Price is high at $4400 a month, but it is awesome! He has a few other new places as well. Nice guy out of NY.

3) Nueva Alejandria building is nice if you can find a place in it (again see it before you pay for a month). This is the foreigner building in Medellin. Pool on the 24th floor. Some rentals are thrown together places in it, so check them out first. They are strict on 1 month minimum.

4) If you want an unfurnished place, ProIntegral is your best selection. They require 3 to 6 months up front as a deposit. If you plan on staying a few years, you can spend $6000 US on furniture and $1700000 a month for a nice place. Prices have been going up really fast over the past two years, so shop around. There is a furniture street where you can get everything really cheap. Tektronix off El Poblado has dirt cheap electronics and TV's (it is a one stop shop).

Now. Are you here to find a Girlfriend?

I have meet dozens and dozens of guys and have so many funny stories to tell, I could type for hours. I will keep it short. Here is the truth. The women are not looking for an American or Foreign man to come rescue them. They are happy here. The really hot women do not want anything to do with you. Nor do they want to be seen with you because everyone will think they are a working girl. They do not want to be considered the girl that bangs the foreigners either. If you live here for 3 or 5 months and they see that you actually do live here, you have a chance at getting a 9 or 10. You will not come here for 2 weeks or 2 months and find a hot girl friend that wants to move back with you, so don't waste your time with this idea.

Websites for girls:

Never explored them much. Your best bet is if you speak good Spanish is to join colombiancupid. Com. It is like $35 a month. I know many guys that have meet girls through the site, but only the people that speak fluent Spanish have done well with it. I have seen some really good success stories, but again don't waste your money if you do not speak Spanish well.

I just heard the name, and as you said, B and V sound just the same in Spanish. ávido means eager or willing in Spanish. Abydo doesn't exist. That's why my confusion. Thanks for correcting the name bro.

Thanks for the advice on the posts and PMs I received. I was hesitant to cancel on the mansion since I knew there wouldn't be a way to get it back considering it's Thanksgiving week. But I decided it's worth the risk and plus I have plenty of FB contacts if it doesn't work out. I just don't like staying in a studio apt by myself even though I can get chicas over. I just enjoy the mongering brotherhood in the mansion, at least it was that case my first time there. I've already planned things with the non-pro like paragliding and going to Guatape, so I'll see how it goes. But I'll be careful not to be used and abused. Hopefully, that will happen in the bedroom!

Just keep in mind that if you bring your quote/un-quote "non-pro" to the Mansion, she could very well be working there the week after you leave. They use the same list that they have any outside chica you bring there (to sign in on) to call and invite your chicas over to work at the Mansion.

I reported that I could not find LL and went to Fase II.

Found a stunner there. Samantha, is 19 and has a killer body. She is a very good dancer and her enthusiasm was very evident on the stage. She is friendly and likes to smoke a joint. Took her to the room for 1 hour. I like the fact that Fase II has nice showers and each room has a stereo. I had a great time and we were in the room till the phone rang. I wanted to see her again but it being a holiday weekend, she did not come back to work the next two days.

Another girl, whose name I am blanking now is also very beautiful. She wore a long silver decoration on her forehead like the girls from east India do. She has a prettier face, good body but slightly less friendly than Samantha. She also shared her weed with me. The ladies prefer "blonde" and not cripa :-D.

Going back to MDE in a couple of weeks and decided to try my hand on non-pros / civvies / regular chicas. Quick background, I'm Asian in my early 30s and can speak Spanish. I'll be staying at the Mansion for a couple days and then switch to apartments to check out this non-pro girl (25 years, just finished university, lives w / family) that I've been talking on whatspp for the past couple of months. We have never met. I'm sure you'll ask how I know if she's really a non-pro, well. I'm 99. 9% sure, so let's assume she is. Obviously, I don't know if this will work out or not, but I have really good feelings about it.

The only thing is that I enjoy staying at the Mansion and I am going to finish my trip at Plaza 2 after doing the apt scene. So if things do end up going well, and I want to invite the chica to Plaza 2 (the quieter, chill spot) , would that ring lots of bells in her head? Do non-pros know about the Mansion? First of all if this is a stranger whom you met online who is making plans to fuck you and probably receive some reciprocal benefits, then she is a pro of some variety. Non-pros who do pro things are still pros. Just because you don't write for a newspaper everyday doesn't mean you're not a journalist when you do publish something, right? Further, I am going to be completely honest, in five years of experience, YOU CANNOT TRUST A PAISA. I don't care if she is some chick with a cavernous gap from the Mayorista or a nun. Their nature is to lie, hide, manipulate, steal, etc. They aren't even aware they are doing it sometimes. Don't get your hopes high, be clear and don't invest any money without immediate return. I'm not saying to be totally paranoid, but don't get ahead of yourself.

Secondly why in fuck's name would you bring a regular girl to a prepago hangout like The Mansion or its sister property? Take her to a normal hotel or apartment. The Mansion is not a place for respectable girls, non pros, etc, you'd probably be better off taking her to a love motel than there LOL.

Thanks for your good wishes and advice, but it's obvious from your writing that you weren't around as we were developing this idea. I don't want to report on everything we discussed and did, but we put as much planning into it as we could, and did a shitload of research. Since this is a new concept for Medellin, it was impossible to plan exactly what we would end up with. Our first model was to be a freelance bar similar to LDV, and we'd still be doing that if we hadn't unexpectedly received the strip club license. All the girls we talked to said that THEY did not want Colombianos there. That was the only reason we started with that rule. We are well aware of the Colombiano market, and now that we have the strip license, we will be renovating with that in mind.

In fact, there are many other things going on behind the scenes that I can't make public yet. We had to wait a few weeks for a certain situation to change before we could start the new plan, and coincidently, that starts tomorrow.

I like your idea about the bus and possibly meals, and have thought about it in the past. We may very well do something along those lines. I can't remember if I mentioned the apartment we just rented for our out of town girls, but that will be bringing some fresh talent from Colombian rural towns.

Up until a month ago I was worried about our ability to stay open. Thankfully that is no longer an issue. We have been self supporting for awhile now, and are easily paying our bills without needing to invest more money ourselves. Of course we still are investing for renovations, but we also leased out the office next door which will pay our rent and utilities. The future is bright for Liquid and all that wish us success. We are not going anywhere. We will bumble along until we strike the right balance. In the meantime, we are having the time of our lives developing this, and making it as much fun for our fellow gringos as possible. Judging from the responses on our Facebook page, website, and PMs, most customers are having a great time at Liquid, and are starting to use it as a meeting place for their Western friends, and even Chicas. There is also a growing group of expats that are making Liquid the "Cheers" of Medellin.

Stay tuned; exciting things are coming! But in the meantime, there are ALWAYS Chicas available at Liquid

I too hope the new club succeeds and when I'm there I will go and buy a few drinks to support the place. My request would be to have a night or 2 w / live music, esp. Salsa / bachata / etc. Where guys could go (or take their dates to) and enjoy a good band or singer, doesn't have to be a big production. I know all the ladies there can dance so dancing lessons could also be a draw for gringos like me that want to do more than sit on my ass looking around. Maybe have some sort of kick back program for cabbies like the soapies have in Thailand. Maybe offer them a trago or an extra 2500 or 5000 pesos depending on what night or how much the person spends there. That will entice the cabbies to bring guys asking where to meet chicas at.

They already have that, they told my cabbie to bring any gringo and they would hook him up. He told them that seemed limiting, what about Colombians. First they told him no, then when he said that they also have money, they said OK, if it seems like the guy has money.

You can't make this shit up. It's a city with very little tourism where Colombians are buying pussy all day, and they seem to want to make it into a treehouse hangout for Gringos.
