I agree with Vitrea, but my experience was that none of the chicas I met spoke English. One chica at the Mansion (Candy Dulce) spoke very broken English, and it was like listening to a slow moving train wreck.

The thing you have to worry about is beyond the chicas. Once you leave the airport, you will be lucky if you find anyone that speaks English. Something to think about if you plan on doing any Casa runs to El Centro (99. 9% of the clientel are Colombian) or ordering food in a restaurant. I don't trust any Colombian who speaks English as a general rule and I find it serves me well. This is especially true if they are not educated. I find those to be the hardest core hustlers. It's true in other parts of the world, too.

You just answered your own question then. Since you have already been to CTG once, I would suggest you go to MDE. MDE has everything and more but it can be tricky to navigate because of the size and diversity of what it has to offer. I am not contradicting "Combo" below. I think he means navigating the city and I mean navigating the mongering scene.

CTG, being more of a vacation destination attracts middle to top tier women to temporarily work there. So the talent is more concentrated, hence easy to find and play.

I want to thank everyone who has been posting. I am now comfortable to head to Medellin for some spanish lessons and fun. I am trying out synergy spanish and have found it to be very good for learning spanish. I have a room at Casa Blanca 1 to start then an apartment. Main purpose of the visit is to monger but I also plan to take about a week of private spanish lessons and learn about the City. There a few private spanish instructors noted on the synergy spanish site. Does anyone have experience with a private instructor that you would recommend? I have some basic spanish skills but still am slow and think in english translating before I speak. I would like 2 to 3 hours a day of private instruction. Thank you any help I get and I will report on my activities when I arrive.

i actually love the city and enjoyed every day of my 30 day visit from december 15. january 15. i have never seen so many beautiful women. they are everywhere.

shortly after my guide picked me up at the airport i began to get a good feeling about medellin. i had read so many articles on the internet about medellin. both really good and really bad. the truth is that the city is nowhere near as bad as the media portrays it to be or that people have burned in their minds from history. the christmas lights were amazing and unlike anything that i had ever seen and the new years celebration was equally impressive. the weather was awesome and the views unbelievable. but none is this is why i went to medellin. i went there for the girls!

i have been going to jaco, costa rica for the last couple of years and witnessed it take a dramatic dive. i also went to panama to see if that was better and it was but not exactly what i was looking for to replace jaco. one thing i noticed was i kept meeting beautiful and hot in bed women and they were from colombia (mostly medellin). so i decided to go to the source and see what it was all about.

i visited all levels. from the downtown casas to loutron. girls prices range from 32k to 240k and price does not always mean better. maybe prettier but not better for sure.

downtown casas. 32k.

downtown stripclubs. 60k.

other strip clubs. 180k.

loutron. 240k.

during the day i hit the mid range priced casas (avedos, energy. both have great girls and are clean and professional) and the downtown casas.

my favorite place to go in the late evening (for sex or just to watch the girls and drink) is ejecutivo. inexpensive drinks, good girls with on sight rooms and a wild live sex show you've got to see.

a couple tips for newbies:

1. take a phone that uses a sim card. buy a tigo sim card as it seems to have better service for both phone and internet (internet test my speed showed 1. 5 meg)

2. figure how many condoms you think you might use on a good trip and double it. my favorite is trojan ecstasy. could not find anywhere after running out of 50 of them. the condoms they sell are small and not that good. you will wish you had brought your own.

3. use a guide. money well spent. i used willi (search for willi best guide medellin) who i found on this site (medellin list report #641. thanks to world travel 69 for this very helpful report as it is an excellent reference for girls / places in medellin. some items are a little dated and have increased but they are still pretty close) willi is an excellent guide and i used him almost everyday. he speaks very good english and knows the city inside and out. his rates are currently 30k per hour or 25k per hour for more than 3 hours.

that is all for now but in closing i will say that i enjoyed the trip so much that i have booked my next trip for april already.

If you've already been to Ctg once, you may as well head to Medellin. Cartagena is definitely worth one visit because it's a great town to see for both tourist and mongering purposes. However, I don't see the value in repeating to Ctg. MDE is (a bit) less expensive and the mongering scene is fairly easy to navigate. MDE doesn't have a beach like Ctg, but the beach there is pretty mediocre anyways.

Been to Jaco Panama etc with newbie friends and most the chicas you ask are from Colombia so why not just go straight to the source? Finally coming back home after oh so such a long time! CTG will be a bit more expensive then Cali or Medellin as it is a tourist destination. Flights maybe a bit more to CO vs CR but you'll make up for that in food, drinks, and especially chicas. Jaco is also touristy loc so everything there will cost a helluva lot more! Your call but finally convinced my boys to come back to CO!
