For me the women in the States have become more competitive and less forgiving. Before if things werent working out you could just say " It's not you but I need some space" and that was it. Nowadays women look at that as a rejection and want payback. I've had ex girlfriends key their initials in my car. I've had ex girlfriends start trouble on my job when we broke up. I don't need that bullshit.

I've got a couple ex girlfriends I still bang in sex prison, but every now and then they need a loan (pussy is never free). We travel because we can choose the girl and type we want, fuck, then go home to our remote and cable.

I noticed that of all the countries and trips I've made, that I don't have shit to show for it except a stamp on my passport. No souvenirs, no cultural tours, hell I don't even remember most of the street names. So I've decided to spend a little more time doing things I previously thought was corny. No partying all night and sleeping all day. It's about enjoying more than just pussy right now, but once I arrive everything I just wrote won't apply LOL.

I think what happens is guys are fresh out of sex prison, and hungry for the girls. Only that is on their mind as they usually have a week or two in country.

I always thought like that but now that my trips are longer, and more frequent I have the luxury of stopping to smell the roses. Having a pocket full of coins is good. I also when eating one of those huge 8 K meals on the Mayo strip I wait till I see a poor hombre, and ask him if he would like to finish my half eaten meal. I have never been turned down on that offer. I also go to the wholesale fruit market, and buy a watermelon. Me, and my Wingman never finish it so we give slices to the children walking by. At first I was charged 5K for a decent melon, but after the jefe saw my action he started to charge me 4K for the same melon. Now when I go there he has the knife out for me with a big smile on his face. I know this type of thing is not for everyone, but I'm sure some of you guys could come up with ideas on how to be a decent person while on the mongering trail.

Funny thing is I get a lot of pleasure out of doing things like this. As a side note on my last trip one of the girls (18 years old) my wing gave a slice to came back every day at the same time for another slice. She was giving my wing the eye, but he would not take my advice to make a move on her. Why do the young guys get all the breaks? LOL

Good points Frank. Sometimes its not about taking but about giving. Frank you are on that next level that I'm finally understanding. We base everything on pussy, but neglect the basic respect that is due from as foreign traveler. The last five years its been about pussy and partying. But I ask myself what is missing, and I understand the pussy is a given. Its about respecting the culture and people. Pussy is the easy part.

No Termas / FKK type scene, my suggestion is to go back about a year on the Colombian forum and you will have pretty much all the info you need and then if you have specific questions fire away. Let's begin with the spelling, Col-o-mbia.

I just thought what a difference it would make if all gringos and foreigners would carry a little change in their pocket and give to all the beggars in the street. I ussually save all my change and give anybody that asks and the little indian people on the street 500 pesos, that's about. 25 cents, or 200 pesos which is about. 10 cents. I spend 1-2 months every time I come to Medellin, so most of you guys that just stay a few days or a week, I'm sure can afford a few pesos.

I mean, we spend hundreds of thousands of pesos partying and phucking around, so I'm sure we can spend a few pesos-cents on beggars. Most people think gringos and foreigners are wealthy and it just looks really bad to see all gringos go by beggars without even a Hello. I just think it makes everybody look really bad. Our reputation would benefit one hundred fold if all spread a few coins around, I believe.

I have to agree with Slamcity on this one. I'm a Veteran and in the law enforcement community, but Colombians arent coming to fight. Its a gun in your face point blank. Dominicans mostly carry knives which if you have the proper training, you can disable. But a gun by a serious Colombian changes the equation.

The question is" do you want to go home in a body bag over 100usd?" The advise has been given here, Colombia is no joke if you get caught slipping. The key to all our adventures is to make it home safely, please never forget that.

Not yet. I'm actually in Buenos Aires right now in a Spanish program. But I plan on heading to Medellin after the New Year to continue learning there. From all the research and reading I've done on the two schools UPB seems to be the best. Most people say EAFIT, that unless you have some understanding on Spanish already, is not that great. EAFIT University though is supposed to be super nice and have a boat loads of hot girls on it. Everything I've read about the UPB program has been good, and that the director of it is a great guy. Plus its cheaper.

Also keep in mind you will be required to get a student visa to study at either of these universities. Which is a good thing as it will allow you to stay in country for 1 year. But, you will have to go through the hassle of getting one. You can pay companies around $200usd or so to take care of all the paper work and trip to Bogota for you. Or you can do it yourself but you will need to go to Bogota.

I took Spanish lessons at UPB for 2 months this summer. Wasn't too thrilled with the instruction. Class was in the basement of the library so don't expect to be seeing lots of hot paisas during class. Before and after class I would sit at the tables out in the common area and see quite a few hotties though. Also if you are a student there you can sign up for a gym membership at a reduced price. If you are not a student you can still use the gym but it costs more. Oh and the program director will say anything to get you to sign up so take it with a grain of salt. Sure he's a nice guy, he's trying to sell you something.

I considered EAFIT first, and checked out their campus a couple of times. Definitely more hot chicks there, classes are more expensive and the girls are a bit snobbier, probably having to due with their families having more money. But at the end of the day I'd bet green money that even the hottest girls in EAFIT will fuck for bucks. Need a good connect for that though, which I don't have sadly.


ETA: You don't necessarily need a student visa to take classes at either university. I have a rentista visa and that was plenty good. If however you are on a tourist visa, then yes you will need to get a student visa.

. As far as the robbery, that's shitty but kind of surprising. At Frank's place, it seemed pretty safe from the supermarkets up to his place and in the surrounding blocks, heavy police presence and very helpful. Even so, we don't know how far they strayed or really any of the details. I read the papers but that is not the kind of thing that makes news every time. I did see murders were down substantially, about 1500 through Nov 30 of this year.

Surprising to you, most likely because you naturally keep your wits about you and blend in, and aren't bobo to the situation.

In Colombia, Covert is King, I have no gringo friends in Colombia period, just "good ole" Colombian amigos y many amigas lol, I don't look like a gringo, I could be from anywhere. I prefer it that way. A group of (4) gringos wandering around are just better off in Parque gringo or walking around oviedo, sante fe or tesoro IMHO.
