Tried to go to Maracaibo last night but seems it was closed so I hopped in Barra Ejecutivo which is right next to it I think. 20-30 chicas some doable (most not) with 2 very nice blondes. Las americas is next to it as well but surrounding area seems waaay dangerous. The dude who looks like a bald arab man sat a 2 girls next to me and my friend and later dropped some lady drinks. Hoped my friend would have argued since my spanish is non-existent but he's a newbie. Picked a girl and the guy said 80k so I countered with 50k like the reports said but he said 80k. I refused and said 'vamos' and he went down to 70k. Then there was a misunderstanding with the bill and my friend thought we needed to pay 37k extra for a room (which was included in the 80k) and the mood was kinda spoiled now that haggling / miscommunication was involved over women. Still took the chick for 70k though. Carolina was good at what she does and surprised me after I finished by giving me a CBJ AFTER I finished and trying to get me up again. Tipped her 20k for the cool effort. Chicks here are cool and the atmosphere is generally good as long as there is no miscommunication. The 80k price they threw at me doesn't match the location and mind you I argued the point and then refused it, and then refused it again after it went to 70k since I thought he was trying to rip me as the previous guides said 50k.

Taxi guy looked like a young hoodie punk and he gave the doorman a tip or something then proceeded to drive me in the opposite direction of my hostel. I called him on it and he made some "ohhhh mistake and threw spanish around even though I had clearly repeated the address 5 times. District, Calle then carrera. Fare was 13k for something that is normally 10k. He stopped at some red lights and not at others. Really dicey.

Didn't hop around because of the rain and the bad mojo so back to bed.

Dude when I comes to drivers you should try to get one that you trust and just call him. They can even hang with you. That girl you got for 70k this was at the strip clubs?

I don't know dude. It seems like you and your buddy who you say is a "newbie" are absolute poster children the kind that should stay in the confines of the MANSION. Walking around centro with your Canon or Nikons hanging around your neck. Your buddy who speaks some Spanish, is he latino or caucasian who speaks some spanish? (big difference) Considering you guys are staying in a hostel. You are prime targets for being robbed or worse even, being taken on the infamous "Pasaje Milionario" You're lucky somebody in the Bar didn't call and have you set up. Happens everyday.

This is (as of today) a $500 camera, so mas o menos a million pesos. That is two minimum monthly salaries in Colombia.

Though I have a few other and better cameras, I only take a little Panasonic travel zoom point-and-shoot with me, it stays on my belt in a case and is generally covered by a shirt or denim jacket. I do not travel with ANYTHING I cannot afford to lose. I wear a $50 watch and use a basic cell phone I got from Ebay for $12.

I am not being paranoid, just careful. I was walking around La Candelaria in BOG in September, and a foreign guy walked by with what I think was a Nikon D-90 and an external flash gun mounted on it. A woman shouted at him from a store " Senor, be careful! Put that away!". The locals know.

Avid photographers should look into the canon elph s95. *Supposedly it's the best pocket camera out there. It can do 80% of what SLR's can do.

I am very happy to have gotten rid of my SLR. If you don't travel with organized tours or a la carte an SLR makes no sense in these countries. I've lost so many cool shots since I bought my SLR camera. No more.

went back to new life and took johanna. soo nice. 35k for girl 3k for drink.

fase dos (ii) blows. got there at 9 and empty so left and came back at 10:30. 11:15. girls uppity. beers cost more if you sit at a closer table. some nice lookers but not many and atmosphere wasn't a happy one. the only happy girls i saw were the ones that came with their bf's. usually i tip with smiles and playful but these girls were all about putting the tip in their hand.

still a bit slow i guess. raining all week long so my trip timing was pretty bad.

i wonder if it's raining in other parts of colombia but i want to try paragliding and do more recon before i go. hostel chick made it apparent she was up for fun and she wanted drinks but there are warning bells in my head about being a sucker or loco chica. we'll see what happens.

medellin is safe if you don't stand out. harder being asian because everyone stares. one guy i said 'ola' to as he passed. i thought was looking at me but it was apparent his fixed were fixed on my e-p1 camera around my neck as he passed. stay safe.

I don't really crave GFE, but gosh darn it, it just sometimes happens! Even at the casas. As far as Hit or Miss, well if you monger as a numbers game, the hits WILL come right along. I mean heck, every now and then even suckers get five card Blackjack at the casino, right?

Just speaking for myself, there are many times when I HIT and ended up with a MISS.

Certainly, if you are a volume mongerer like yourself your approach seems just fine. Sadly not all of us have unlimited bullets, in my case 1 or 2 leches daily, maybe 3 if I really push it occasionally, is about all I can manage day after day, which means more often than not just a single chica on a given day. Given this, especially since I am usually in town for at most a week and sometimes only 5 or 6 days, I try find ways to maximize the possibility of each experience being GFE, as well as being able to spend some other getting-to-know time with the girl before or after the sex which adds to the experience for me and often for the chica as well.

For me it feels like any day in paisa heaven that I don't enjoy some GFE is a bit of a disappoinment. I have found dates with romancelatina girls work better for me and my desires than casas; incidentally many but certainly not all of these internet girls are also some time mansion guests. So far 100% of the girls I've "dated" from RL, probably a dozen or so over the last 3 trips, except for one that backed out completely on sex I guess due to her not liking me, have delivered full GFE. About half of those dozen or so also work regularly or occasionally at the mansion.

If others have recommended venues or sources where GFE rate tends to be high I am interested in hearing about them.

I'm set to visit Colombia a few days and though I've been to Cartagena, I've never been to Medellin and have never checked out the casa scene. I have been to Rio and it's incredible termas. What are the similarities / differences, pros / cons, between the casas and the termas?

It's like comparing Villa Mimosa to the Termas'. There is no comparison, LOL. Termas' are palaces of luxurious pussy. Casa's are dungeons of enslaved concubines. If you truly enjoy the experience of the Termas, then you cannot compare the two as being on the same plane. If you are just about shagging as many cute chicks as possible, then your money goes a lot further at the Casas.

There is only one fallacy to what you did! Going to the casas, where they just present, is in my opinion, just hit or miss on the GFE! What ya missed out on is meeting them like I like to do, and that is to rap with them, and know whether ya have GFE upfront, and what ya are going to get. In the casas. Good luck to total GFE!

Zig, have to smile at your post. I have been in a long distance relationship with a paisa for 3 years now, and she gives me all the GFE I want, too much at times. Like being jealous as hell! Going to the casas is the escape, and at least half the time I get an email or phone, and have to work around that. Dumped her this time for a couple of days, but, the soft fool that I am, saw her and worked out a compromise. Reality is that I can't get rid of her, and it is very hard, knowing the life she leads, and the money I give her, which means nothing to me, is everything. GFE means exactly that, you get the good and the bad
