thanks for the pics! hot! i think your photography skills really bring out their beauty. btw, my friend, who i've been trying to convince to come, doesn't believe me and think those are models that are heavily airbrushed. any truth to this? lol

i am using a nikon d50 with a standard 18-55mm lens kit and also a fixed 50 mm lens for that "sharp image w/blury background" effect. i am also using a pivoting speed flash attached to the camera's hot shoe as well to "bounce" the light as oppose to direct light flash if i were using the built in pop up flash. direct flash causes harsh reflections and dark shadows behind the subject. back home i have the umbrellas and reflectors and backgrounds but never lug them along on vacation. however, i am not a professional. just a hobby of mine.

a digital slr is the way to go for professional looking shots, especially with a nice paisa in front of the camera. however, no need to get ridiculous and bring an slr that's in the thousands of dollars range. i have seen gents do just that although i could see from their use of the camera and photo results that they don't really spend time learning how to effectively use the camera's multi functions to the point of which they just turn it on auto and end up with a point and shoot.

composition is going on in my mind as i look through the lens of the camera. am i tilted? is there debri in the background? is there a hair in the girls face? will she look better with or without a smile? etc. robert was nice enough to go along with my suggestion of an outdoor makeshift studio. we cleared an area, brought out some furniture. added the plants for a nature touch. also suspended a white sheet above the shoot area to allow the flash to "bounce" off of.

as far as air brushing, no, not really but what i do, if needed, is crop, lighten/darken highlight etc. but as far as the actual girls, pretty much what you see is what you can get. none of them are professional models. some have a knack for posing, many do not.

one thing is it is real work to get that special shot. i take several pictures in order to try to pinpoint one that brings the best out of my subject.

i thought i would include this picture which has only been resized in order to post but absolutely nothing else has been done. so you show your friend and then tell me what he thinks of the paisas again.

i just don't know what kind of convincing is better than photos.

It is possible that maybe he loves the place so much that he likes to talk about it. Just like how I keep talk about Medellin on other boards because I love it so much. The Mansion isn't just about Greg. Everyone can see his personality from his posts. It's also about Boyd and Robert and to a certain extent even the role of Marcy (who gets swapped out with another English speaking chick who is just as nice). I don't know where the stigna of "drunken house atmosphere" comes from. Of course I've only been there once. I still recommend everyone's first time to be there. When I was there, there was a lot of older gentlemen. Of course it depends on the people that go there. Everyone drinks and talks around the pool with the girls. It's a real comradery. You hear all their adventures and maybe hook up with a vet to be a wing. Now if by you don't like the "frat atmosphere" to mean that you're looking for a quiet hotel where you just shit and sleep. Well this isn't it! It isn't like "girls gone wild" but there is a certain level of noise during the day. With the specials that they run now, the prices of the rooms are are really comparable with other places now. The prices with girls are negotiable too. Most guys just choose not to do it. Lastly. That's why I chose to get an apartment now. The Mansion is not really conducive to pursuing non-pros. It's still highly recommended to go there your first time to get your feet wet. I might stay there a couple of days next time too. They have some real hotties I want to check out as seen in Cuba's pics. LOL.

I agree with Hicotane. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd rave about the Mansion a lot more too. I've met Cubanut a few times at the mansion, and he's just a great guy that's very enthusiastic, and loves showing the new guys how great Medellin is. Does that mean he's a shill for Medellin? He always takes the newbies out and shows them around the casas and other parts of Medellin. It's true that the Mansion is not a good place if you're after non pros, but even after my 8 trips to Medellin, I still prefer the Mansion to an apartment. I've had both. It is NOT a frat house, certainly not anymore. In fact on my last trip it was actually a little quieter than I would have liked, and I'm certainly no party animal. You can keep to yourself all you want, and no one will care.

Your gut feeling is probably right. I tend to find the guys that enjoy CR, Brasil and DR usually couldn't care less about how they themselves looked, weather they spoke the language and if the girl actually liked them or not.

The power of the dollar was their ticket to bedding any girl they chose. Some of the p4p scene in Medellin (especially at the discos) tends to be quite a bit more about if they girl likes you as well [in the most superficial / shallow sense].

I tend to find that younger, good looking guys who don't have a ton of money to blow will fare especially better in Medellin as opposed to CR, DR or Panama. The girls in those other countries tend to be very, very business oriented and are less likely to sleep with a guy because they would like to. The problem in Medellin is that sometimes you will be at a loss on what more you can do to attract a girl you like who you are certain is a pro because she just won't give you the time of the day.

I have had countless GFE experiences in Brazil, DR, and Costa Rica. I am relatively young(29) and reasonable costs for girls isn't an issue for me. Of course, as with many other venues, there are always hardened pros amongst the group, but I've been mongering long enough to weed the bad apples out from the good with my interview process and a little patience.

July will be my first trip to Colombia(Medellin) so I can't speak from experience as to Colombia. I am reading a lot about how great the girls are and the quality GFE experiences. Since the Mansion I and II do not have vacancy for the July 4th weekend, I've taken to Romance Latina to meet girls to fill our apartment with. So far I have chatted with a few girls who have peaked my interest and have a few phone numbers and e-mails. It's just that I've been told that about 1000 guys go to San Jose, Costa Rica every week. We only get between 100-200 a month here, if that. You don't run into hoards of foreigners anywhere in Medellin. So I guess it's fair to say, in comparison, that we're still "virgin" territory here, quote, unquote.

No big trick to getting BBFS in Medellin. Ooops, sorry, I was going to tell, but I decided if I do and all you guys start doing it then the girls would become unsafe, sorry again. Girls in Medellin are very safe, very low AIDS statistics. But that is only because they don't use "needles" and they are very strict about using condoms, some even make you wear 2 condoms.

Hey, I don't want to dump on any crowd, like guys coming from Costa Rica, because the crowd comes with both the good and bad.

I had an experience last night with a couple dudes from Costa Rica though.

Happen to bump into these 2 guys in a bar in El Centro.

Chatted just a bit, they asked a few questions and they commented that the girl I was with was hot and they left to sit in another par of the bar.

After just a bit, my girl got up to use the bathroom that was near where these dudes were sitting.

When she came back to our table, she told me one of the guys called her over and offered her money to dump me and leave with him.

To me, this proves the guy is a total jerk off.

A bit later these guys come to sit near our table and I walk over and fairly nicely explain that maybe crap like that is normal in the CR scene, but its pretty rude and stupid here, and that its not too smart to [CodeWord140] people off here.

I DO wonder what Cubanut gets from Greg for acting as his ISG shill for all these years (look back in the archives and you'll see the same breathless testimonials for the Mansion by Cubanut going back about 5 years or so). Look back in the old pages and you'll see many reports pointing out Aussie Greg's lack of ethics towards EVERYBODY (customers, the girls, taxi drivers you name it) unless they have been deleted. If this does not get deleted to protect Greg as often happened in the past, search back in the archives to see for yourself whether staying at the mansion is for you. For clueless newbies who want a frat drunken house atmosphere it is great (provided you don't mind the prices and high volume). If you have ANY pretension of scoring with non pros taking them to the mansion (or even admitting you stay there) is the kiss of death.

I often have wondered what it was like in the early days of movies. The days when when directors and producers had their choice of beautiful pussy to choose from just with the promise of a chance at stardom on the big screen.

This of course became known as the Casting Couch.

Well It's easy to fantasize that and many more experiences while in Medellin. Especially when a place like Casa Blanca (formerly Medellin Mansion) exists.

Oh sure one with good looks and charm and Spanish skills can produce the same results no matter where they stay in Medellin. But what about those without those attributes?

Plus none pros are far less likely to put out without a lot more effort than many have time or patience to burn.

So instead one can just go to the Casa Blanca front desk and the ever so cute manager, Sara, will assist you as best as anyone can in finding that right Paisa for YOUR fantasy.

I have loads of pictures to share but theses are a good start I think.
