Posts: 7Jose Maria Cordova Airport (MDE) is in Rio Negro, approximately 45 minutes by cab from Poblado. This airport handles international as well as domestic flights. Airlines such as American, Avianca, and Copa/Aero Republica service this airport.
Olaya Herrera Domestic Airport (EOH) is located a couple of miles from the Medellin Mansion or VIP, but it is only for domestic travel in Colombia. Only 3 airlines service this airport. Aides, Aires, and Satena. If you don't like flying in small planes, best to fly out of MDE for your domestic travel in Colombia.
Best Of Luck!

Posts: 65Jose Ma Cordoba is outside Medellin, 30 min ride, in a close town called Rionegro. Olaya is in Medellin. The first one attends national and intl. flights, and large planes. The second is local (regional), mostly for Cessnas, Fokkers and other small airplanes, as well as helicopters. Due to the fact that Medellin is a basin, surrounded by mountains on all sides, this first airport has reported lots of accidents, reason for the construction of the other one outside.

Pardon the silly question but it seems that there are 2 airports in Medellin, which one is the good one?
Jose Marie Cordova or
Enrique Olaya
Thank you.

Posts: 3I am not a "Winner71", whoever that might be. I had visited this board once a few years back and only recently began looking around. Thanks for the clearing it up for these folks.

Opium89, if you are not a Winner71 alias, then please excuse these potentially unjustified suspicions by understanding that I am working to rid the Colombia forum of the Serial Antagonists who seek to destroy it in their quest to discourage anyone from visiting Colombia, which they consider to be their private playground.
Thanks,

Leave it to the Colombia forum members to highlight the need for yet another Forum Rule.
Effective immediately, Forum Members wishing to criticize other Members for not following what they consider to be safe sex procedures may do so only in the Safe Sex Thread. Members may not comment upon, criticize or confront other members on this subject in the general discussion threads. Any such "safe sex complaints" posted in the general discussion threads will be deleted without comment. However...
In addition, Members may not repeatedly post or otherwise taunt other Members regarding their refusal to follow safe sex procedures. Specifically, references to having sex without a condom may be made only by incidental reference and shall not be the focus of any report. Such "safe sex taunting" reports will be deleted without comment.
In other words, I don't want to hear anymore about the subject except in the Safe Sex Thread.
If you want to criticize another member for not following what you consider to be safe sex practices, then send him a PM.
Actually, I've been considering this for quite some time because I believe that it does no good to criticize members for not following what other members may consider to be safe sex practices for the following reasons:
1. It's a disincentive for members to contribute.
2. It never serves to change any one's behavior.
3. It almost always leads to arguments.
4. It provides a "cover" for Serial Antagonists to provoke other members.
Accordingly, I have moved the previous "safe sex complaints" to the Safe Sex Thread.
To address the usual arguments:
1. If a guy wants to engage in sex without using a condom, that's his risk and his business.
2. If a girl wants to engage in sex without using a condom, that's her risk and her business.
3. If YOU want to protect yourself from either or both of the aforementioned parties, then YOU should use a condom for sex all the time and thus YOU will be protected from the allegedly unsafe sex practices of the other parties.
Thanks,
Jackson

Jackson,
Is it just me, or is Opium89 the same as Winner71? It's the same sanctimonious, anti-bareback drivel as before; even the same writing style! Or am I off-base here?
Thanks

For our friends, the girls, to say the truth, I have no clue on what they do during Holly Week, but I doubt they would stay in the major cities (Bogota, Medellin, Cali, ...) as most of their customers are probably out.
I think that Cartagena must be fully booked by now for Holly Week.
Conclusion, come in February if you can.
