I went to El Centro on a Thursday afternoon...

I think El Centro goes in waves. It's all chicas going there for work on their own schedule to fit their own lives. Some hang out there 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Others are just there for a couple of hours on a random day. "Conventional wisdom" is if you go there early afternoon, you can catch some of the morning crew leaving and afternoon crew arriving. For some reason, last time I visited some of the best I saw were at earlier hours.

Earlier in the day you've got the shops to keep you entertained if you don't find anyone. Later in the day you've got the strip clubs to keep you entertained. Late night there's less entertainment and more keeping your head up so you don't get robbed.

So I finally decided to adventure out to El Centro to check out the local SW scene and see how it compares to Santa Fe SW action in Bogota. I went to El Centro on a Thursday afternoon right after an incall with this hot Paisa I found on Photoprepagos that gave good GFE for $300 k. I'm sure glad I session before hand otherwise I would have went home with blue balls. I just don't get it, where are all these so called hidden gems that guys are finding in El Centro? In Santa Fe I can usually find one or two girls on any day to session with but El Centro I couldn't find one I would even do for free. Sure I guess everyone has a preference, but every girl there looked beat up, used and sad. There were probably a handful of girls that were what I would say were slim, but in no way were they pretty. Most of them were brown bag specials, with maybe a couple of them at least being a 6, and I'm being generous with that rating. Maybe they are a 6 after a bucket of beers. I walked all over trying to find hidden gems, but the only gems I found were clothes. Yes, after an hour of walking around and finding nothing I cared to even touch my attention then turned to the fake markets. To my surprise El Centro is a mecca for clothes shopping. Any fake designer brands you want can be found there and at dirt cheap prices. The quality of the clothes weren't half bad either. I could definitely tell a shirt is a ripoff Versace, however for non-high end designer brands like Nike those are actually excellent copies (clothes not shoes). So to make a long story short, I would absolutely return to El Centro again, but not for the girls, but instead for the shopping. Actually I'll return back tomorrow, maybe there might be more doable girls than can change my opinion of the place.

Yeah, see to me it makes no sense to pay to have sex with a basic looking chick. If I'm going to pay for it, she better be model quality. If I want average, I just hit up a local bar or club. But I can see why older mongers are ok with basic looking girls, which brings me to my next point.

I been informed by someone that just got back from, medellin, that these prices members have posted recently for the medellin market are way off, well maybe not for the basic average looking girls but for the curvy model like girls 9's-10's of today's standards (pretty face, thick legs, flat stomach, big tits & ass) those are more in the range of $100-$150 usd. He said even the parque lleras street girls that come close to a 9 by the same standards will turn down 300 k now. So I could be wrong but my theory is these prices of 200 k-350 k cop are most likely being quoted by basic average looking girls to mongers here and not the top of the creme. Like I mentioned in my last comment a 9 or 10 could be a stick (a girl with no ass or tits) to other members on this board so just keep that in mind.

In my experience if you want an abundance of curvy girls, Cali is a better choice. Medellin does have curvy girls but you got to seek them. Loutron and la isla etc in this category typically have the prototype girl. Fit, decent looking etc, lots of 8's. What I like about the Centro casas and strip clubs is that you will have more of a wider selection to suit your pallet. From older chicks to curvier ones too. Now, I say this with sadness, too bad webcam is either too expensive to even try meeting up and too restrictive that many do not even bother as they have significant others or plainly do not mix business with pleasure. Of course, other reasons as well and most importantly I am not even in the country at the moment. Here you can do a search and voila all the types you would want pop up. Fantasy land. Now, I did dabble with webcam and believe that it is possible to go on a date with a webcam model without blowing a tonne of money. Just a feeling or hunch I've got interacting with some on whatsapp. Again, I do realize that even chatting is one step, there are other hurdles I need to clear before the date.

As for agencies? Never tried them. Perhaps there are more exclusive agencies that deal with clients who want discretion etc or have parties in fincas. I'm just like you. There is such a thing as too thin. I definitely prefer the curves. I'd probably qualify as older. Upper 40's. But too thin is a turnoff. Not sure what that has to do with the mansion. In my experience, they have a wide variety. Yes, there are some thin spinners. But they have all varieties, from what I've seen. I've not found a single place in Medellin where all the girls were thin, or, curvy, or any other thing. I've been to a few places on certain days when there were only a few girls working, but even then they weren't all one type. That includes the Mansion.

I think most people have their eyes opened when they first arrive in Medellin. In the US, it's not easy to find a perfect body. Even finding a good body takes some work. Thin US girls are often unhealthy thin. Curvy girls often are flabby with a big gut. And in the US, BBW means she's really fat with lots of makeup.

A thin girl in Medellin almost always still has breasts and an amazing ass, still curvy, but in a smaller package. Curvy girls usually still have a flat, or nearly flat stomach. That's just the natural girls. There are also all the girls with aftermarket equipment. Finding a girl with a good to great body (by US standards) is easy.

Mansion gets a bad rap, in my opinion. I often use it as a base. Honestly, I've even rented rooms there when staying elsewhere. I've always traveled alone. But I have met some good dudes there and have both shared notes and benefitted from sharing. I agree that the mansion is a safe bet for newbies. But I think vets that don't need the hand holding benefit too. I've also found three real diamonds there that still work there. I enjoy the low key vibe during the day to really know what the girls are like.

I'm amazed you couldn't find a vennie, Centro is swarming with them. I'm choosing a chica by looks & vibe not a nationality but usually after I've chosen and then later ask, 90% of them turn out to be vennies. They are all over really, back corner of the church (where the panaderia is) is a good bet. They are usually slim and hang out in groups (and often with their boyfriends hanging around nearby or selling stuff).

Thanks, another outstanding post Litmus. I've learned more on your last few posts than I ever did in many five to ten consecutive pages on this board. Great info on Poblado and Lleras. You confirmed a few things I thought about the area, but also convinced me why it is worth trying also. Example, I loved all the activity in Centro, sheer number of girls, and ability to be out and about, window shop, and talk to the girls first and get a feel for and with them. But I know you do not want to be out at nor is there much going on. For night time, that is why I stayed in Laureles. It is bustling and safe there. Although lots of girls around, and I am sure some coukd be pulled with lots of effort, most are not out looking or expecting for a transactional hookup. And on a short vacation. I'm not looking for dating and the effort.

It sounds like Poblado has the best of both. With some cons you pointed out.

Colombia seems to have all that I like, it is just much more spread out. I'm coming from the by bygone glory days of Sosua that I once loved. Where you could find it all within walking distance. Daytime action on the beach. Nighttime safe walking to restaurants and bars. Street girls, dance club girls, anything you wanted. Bar girls or bartenders available to takeout, with barfines. Even my favorite, La Passions a mega indoor outdoor strip club that literally had a chica menu, onsite, takeout, shorttime, overnnight. Heaven.

That is all available in Colombia, it is just spread out and takes much more planning so thanks for your help.

I hope what I have added can help others. Having been only once, I tried to share the things I wanted to know about before I went.

Anyway, I think I have found my new destination, I just have to keep learning to make it better and interesting. Thailand, Pattaya. Is still my dream. But from my area on the East Coast with a 20 to 28 hour flight each way at $2 K USD, not on my radar.

If you have not done it, give it a try. Personally, I enjoy the street energy there. It is safe and alive with Colombians just having a good time and living their lives, and its nice to be swept up in that wave.

With the park under construction the girls post up in front of Moet, up to Calle 10, then along Calle 10 for a couple blocks. I have definitely seen some pretty girls, got some intel on prices and was even propositioned with a thick girls asshole with no upcharge. Definitely a fun time if you like to shop around.

Of the girls I did session with, the bad was 175 K. She also tapped out before I came. And then she would not leave. She wanted to sleep there, and said her ride was gone, and all sorts of stuff. The front desk clerk and I became friends that night because he handled her like a pro, and I tipped him for his work and discretion.

The good girl was cuter and more professional. When we met, she asked for 300 K, I asked for how long and immediately followed that question with "Dos oras? She said yes, so I countered with 200 K for 2 hrs, which was accepted. She was a cute, early 20's, thin Colombian with nice long straight black hair. And in hindsight, I don't think it was 2 hours, but it was not really rushed; it was just the right amount of time. We hung out for a bit post-coitus, she waited from me to get dressed, and we walked back to the park together, and all that time there was no foot tapping, no clock watching, no rushrush feel.

I have not done Gustos, but have been in some of the other clubs, Moet and the other one next to it, before they start asking for a cover charge. Those clubs are LOUD, dark and dry ice smoky. They use stobe lights too (proper club type effects) and the whole thing is just not my scene. Actually, kinda disorienting. Given the volume, I do not know if negotiations for price happen in the club, or what not. Not really my thing (which is why I check it out before they charge the cover) and the girls look much the same in the club or on the street.

I will try Gustos one of these days because I believe in ticking boxes. La Isla was one last time, which I wrote a report about, but it got buried back in September. The TL; DR is "I am glad it is there, will do it again, but in no rush to repeat. Medellin has waaaay to much to offer to stick to just to La Isla. " Which is what I expect my experience at Gustos will be.

Keep in mind, Parque Lleras is a hunting ground and failing you do not find something you like, it is a good people-watching ground. It is a good scene for walking with a 4 K beer and a 1 K cigarette, and not giving too much a shit about anything. The bonus is it goes way late into the morning and stays safe, whereas Centro is supposed to be a No-Go Zone after dark for gringos AND locals. I have been in El Centro well after dusk once and the place died off hard.

I have had the benefit of seeing the park before it underwent reconstruction, and recently with how the everyone had to adjust. It is more fun with the park open, but it is still fun if you branch out and away from Parque Lleras. A note about moving away from the park, my motus operendi is to be respectful when I am not in the tolerance zone, so I do not proposition girls in Provenza and don't gawk at another dude's girl.

I would say you should check it out to form your own opinion. It is definitely a place to monger, but it also a place to just experience.

As for Poblado, it is a nice area, one worth exploring. A pleasant ambiance, descent sightseeing and a river tucked away up a street, which added to my amazement as it felt it brought the jungle right into the city, if even just a sliver. There are also good services available and nice restaurants.

It is on a hill, which I really didn't notice until I started spending more time in and around El Centro, and then returning to Poblado. Not a big deal if you are in ok shape, but you do notice it.

A bummer negative to Poblado is begging has increased in these past couple years. It was ok in 2019, but these past couple trips have been astonishing with how much begging there is now, even kind of aggressive. Between Parque Lleras and the Poblado tram station, expect to be asked 5 times, minimum. And, it is not just the rural Indians with their little children sleeping next to them (whom are actually quite modest and not aggressive), but families of Colombians all working as a big begging unit. I learned to take the back street (calle 9) during the daytime when headed to the tram station.

Pros.

- Safe, energetic night scene.

- A bevy of beaver.

Cons.

- Girls are a bit more pricey and always an iffy experience.

- Tourist magnet, which also draws beggers.

I may try Poblado next time, I may not. Personally to me, Poblado just sounded too much like the way Sosua has gone, and I stopped going there for a reason. It also seemed like I would have more eyes on me and be a target, even though EL Centro is considered far more dangerous and less upscale. Who knows. I may try it and like it much better. But I had a great time, and like you, found some that were very much to my liking and fun. Some can go right ahead and call me a fool for not thinking their different way is the best. Go right ahead, I don't care, wasted useless energy.
