Worked fine for me in Colombia several years ago. I recall one evening in Medellin, when it didn't work at any ATM, but I later discerned it was a problem with the banking network as I noticed that locals were having problems too. But, I had no problems the next day. I switched to Chase around 3 years ago, and that worked fine in Colombia and Brazil. I have a Schwab card the and its worked fine for me, most of the time, since arrived in South America at the end of June. Haven't used my Chase card here, its only a my backup, because Schwab will refund the transaction fees. Only used a debit card once in Buenos Aires, the day after I arrived and it worked fine, though the transaction fee was upwards of $9 and $40 equals an awkward pile of cash. Of course you would not to want to withdraw money from an ATM in Argentina or use any debit or credit cards, period, under the current crisis. The way to go down there is to wire money to yourself via Western Union or change HARD FOREIGN CURRENCY "on the street". Otherwise banks, ATMs and legitimate currrency exchanges will only give you the official exchange rate, which is HALF the "blue rate". But, that's another story. The thing you need to realize is that ATMs don't always work, especially in South America.

It's not about your card, in my experience, its about the ATM network and which banks accept your card. Sometimes your card will work when the local guy who uses the same ATM before you walks away in frustration, because it won't process the transaction. During my four months in Brazil, I had to walk away from various ATMs empty handed. Other times in banks with several I had to try to use my card in any other several ATMs that had available (note in Brazil its common for bank branches to have multiple ATM lined up in the lobby) until I found one that worked..

To add to that, some ATMs have different withdrawal limits depending on your bank card. 2 years ago at the same Davivienda ATM one of my debit cards could only get 400 k, while the other could pull 2 million. This year I could get 2 million with both, but there may be some banks with a lower withdrawal limit.

How do you define what a report is? For me, a report is the provision of information, ergo "I am reporting some information".

For example, in my last post I wrote "In centro too, the real hotties are the busiest. Yesterday I had to wait 20 minutes for the girl I wanted, So I picked her up after a cup of coffee. ".

That is a report of information. Gives folks an idea of how much time they might need to wait for hot chica in Centro.

Can I put in a request to change the name of the board from "Medellin Reports" to "Medellin Opinions". It is pedantic, but accurate.

My first post was on 9/01/2021, #48892, some 692 pages ago. While this board has provided some valuable information and I would like to see it stay around, however, the change in the board title would reflect what is actually going on here. The following is my reasoning:

Statistical Percentage Values.

1% Reports (of various quality, and yet an inflated value).

2% Questions.

2% Replies to questions (including 20% of those being snarky RTFF remarks, which is an absolutely insane reply because of the time spent typing the snark could have answered the question, and then later the replier becomes part of the 95% mentioned below).

95% Opinions, arguments (less manly ribbing and seemingly becoming more and more personal), throw away "Yaas Queen!" remarks, waxing philosophical about what a "10" is, waxing philosophical about what the dollar value of pussy is, waxing philosophical about economics (always supply and demand. Basic 101 stuff), complaining about disruptions in the market due to newbies and weekend warriors.

This is what 1-year of data looks like:

Date Range: 9/1/21 - 11/30/22 = 456 days.

Number of Posts during that range: 59270 - 48892 = 10,378 post.

Pages Generated Per Day: 692/456 = 1. 5 pages per day.

Post Frequency: 10378/456 = 22 posts per day.

Report Frequency: 22*1% = 1 report post 5 per day.

And. If the people complaining about Medellin becoming more popular and more expensive, then look the culprit is the frequency of posts and the volume everyone shouts out about how great Medellin is. Yes, the ISG page is probably just a drop in the bucket compared to YouTube -- and dummy YouTubers who are not even making making money from their street videos, just raising lust and awareness -- but the over-communication on the "Reports" forum certainly doesn't help when a YouTuber converts to ISG and sees a literal jerk circle. That convert is going to want whip his junk out and start beating it like mad, too.

Causation vs correlation the chicas at La Isla charge a high price bcos it's an expensive club; that's all.
