Which destination would you choose for 3-4 days getaway and why? Local talent doesn't matter as I will be bringing my own girl.

Santa Marta, by a long way. Hotels and better, restaurants are better, beaches are better, more stuff to do, In every way it is far better. Been to San Andres 3 times and always found it super boring, and very mediocre as a holiday island. I would say even the lowliest island in Thailand is far more fun than San Andres. I don't see any attraction in it at all. Santa Marta however, has plenty going for it. Whats best is that it is safe and small. You can walk every where you need to go in town.

Even if you didn't take a girl, there are plenty of chica options too.

And will probably see lot's of pictures and videos of all the SW's sitting on the benches.

I don't know how it will be when the park re-opens; but for a time before it closed, putas were not allowed to ply their trade in the park, and open alcoholic containers were not allowed. There were many police patrolling in and around the park to enforce the ban.

Where to begin?

First of all, thank you for the lively commentary on this thread. It was an encouraging factor to book a trip (and break up with a girlfriend?) After RTFT one can really see it's an active scene: dynamic, controversial, cheap / expensive, a bit complicated and also easy, but most of all. Something for everything.

For the better part of the past decade, I've preferred SE Asia despite enjoying speaking Spanish and being relatively fluent conversationally. Due to considerations of time zone, climate, direct flights and internet speed, Medellin was really the best and perhaps only viable option for a 1-week trip to "WFH" and pursue a most worthy hobby. Anyhow, here was my approach and experience.

Pre-research:

I decided to sign up for a premium membership on seeking, which I've used before in the States with satisfying if not complicated results. It's much easier than other dating apps / websites and significantly better quality. I did try the other apps for a moment while traveling, and was very depressed with the comparative options.

With Seeking I perused the major destinations with direct flights from the east coast. After a few days evaluation the options, the abundance of Medellin talent was very clear. I do prefer the petite Asian type, and after years of dating accordingly -- I was eager for a change but also looking for familiar territory. There are certainty many chicas in the 18 - 25 range that have nice slim figures, flat bellies and cute faces.

But importantly and perhaps obviously, there is a wide array of different body and face types, that I wasn't necessarily looking for, but happy to encounter in the process of broadening horizons. I think it's safe to say that the Paisas are built different (in many ways), but generally more curvy -- even for the seemingly slim chicas. Not was I was looking for exactly but happy to have some variety.

Upon arrival:

Things do become slightly blurry here on out so it's hard to provide a good play-by-play as others have done. The options on Seeking were all very good in quality, but varied drastically in price point. Quotes anywhere from $80 to $250 USD for TLN. In a pinch, I went with a 26 year old on the higher end of the price spectrum because of her responsiveness, willingness, smoke-show pictures and overall vibe (pics for reference).

We actually had a very fun night and she was in fact very sexy / GFE-- started the night partying in El Poblado, then a rooftop in Manrique to get out of the bubble, then Fase II (long story, didn't see any good options for me incidentally) before returning to a hotel in Poblado. From what I recall, decent BJ trading with DATY, decent sex in multiple positions. Another round in the morning but I was a bit too hungover to make the most of it. The quality of service was certainly not worth the price, despite the absolute stunner looks. But I couldn't carry the regret too long as it was basically a friend to go out and party with for my first night, and its always a pleasure to wake up in bed next to someone beautiful. She left me her bolsita of perico which I accidently flew home with and have yet to try.

After that:

I tried a couple of other places. Became acquaintances with a taxista. Went to La Isla (not for me, personally-- very strange format, lots of plastic surgery, older chicas, etc.). Then the taxista and I decided to find some SWs in the centro "mas joven que profesional". And despite the blurry vision (ron de caldas, perico, 2 c) there were actually quite surprisingly good quality of options. No idea where it was, but decided to pickup 2 young slim chicas for 90,000 COP each. The taxista ended up getting pulled over for drunk driving and the police told me to leave the taxi, the 2 chicas pulled me into a different one. The rest is history, but the taxista was mad that I didn't bribe the cops, I was relatively happy to find el mejor equipo for the most satisfying (only) threesome I've had in years. They really did make a good team: alternating blow jobs (one deepthroat while the other licked balls), alternate riding, and then the tighter one rode me to completion while the sexier one moaned in my ear to get me there. A unique, satisfying and economical experience.

Subsequently:

I became a little hesitant to get too involved with locals. (I think using 2 see makes everyone kind of crazy, myself included). And a friend arriving decreased my appetite for getting in weird situations with Paisas. So basically the remainder of the week I was content to pick up randoms from Calle 10 / Parque Lleras.

I suppose that's a whole new post, and in retrospect I didn't pack too much useful info into here. Hopefully this provides some anecdotal experience for folks that like this approach to the hobby. If worthwhile and I can provide some less hazy details from the rest of the trip: Mostly picking up SWs in Lleras and encountering an escopolamina incident.

Not sure what the hate is for Parque Lleras is on this board, but you can taste the bitterness. For a bunch of frugal gormet types that motto out "there is no wrong way to monger" well, apparently there is by the standards repeatedly tooted on this board.

As a landmark, as something unusual, and as a social epicenter, to the American standard, Parque Lleras is fun and I look forward to it being back in operation.

If you have ever been to Budapest, there is a park called Erzebet ***. It used to be -- I stress "used to be" -- a great park to hang out at. Everyone went there with beer, wine and food, and hung out well into the night. Then the city fenced it off and killed the whole vibe. Now there is a knock off of the London Eye and no night scene. It was fun because it was cheap and organic. Sure, no hookers, but it was a central spot for people to socialize at. Parque Lleras has that same vibe and fit much the same criteria.

So why all the hate? Just because the girls quote higher price there and you don't want to bargain? I got two hours out of a girl for 200 mil. Overcharged? I don't think so. She earned every centavo. She was cute, young, pleasant personality, was 100% willing for all the positions, and it was a 4-minute walk to the hotel, and the thrill of the hunt all added to it.

Beyond mongering, it is just a cool park. The trees and the height differences. The statues and the bird houses. It's just cool. Maybe you can't play sports in a park like that, but it is way better than Parque Poblado, which is another cool park.

I agree with you. I don't understand the hate for parque lleras. It's great for what it is a central pick up spot for girls with the added benefit of clubs / bars and restaurants surrounding the area. Yes the girls are quoting higher prices than centro. This board tends to skew older retirees with fixed incomes who prefer centro daytime action. There's nothing wrong with that but I'm a person who likes to mix it up I use Facebook / tinder, Casas / strip clubs and Llerras to hunt. I tried centro once and it sketched me out, maybe I need to retry that scene. I prefer nightclubs I can still drink party and take home as money chicks as my wallet allows.

I agree 100%. I always look forward to taking a stroll around the park. It's certainly not the best place to find women, and the restaurants are much better if you walk up to Provenza. But the vibe is great, day or night.

I do fondly remember years ago when you could meet legitimate non-pros in the park. Nowadays most nonpros in the area would not want to be seen with a gringo. But it's still fun.

MDE Trip Report Sept 3-12:

His puta adventures w passengers. - was so embarrassing to the point I pretended I didn't know him LOL.

If you treat them well, WG, Semi, Non pros, they'll treat you right in return. It's a big country so don't be stuck in just the RLD or El Poblado. Bogota is still my fav, but MDE is not dead yet.

Looking into experiences with small groups instead of single guys. This info is great.

Pablo Escobar is gone but tourism is big $. Marketing to "digital nomads" Ecotourism, Foodie tours etc. Are all are blowing up Medellin. Marquee Hotel costs near $200/ night. I would rather hang in an area like Parque Lleras where Casacol is actively working with the Medellin Tourism board to UP the quality of everyone's experience. They own 3 properties facing the park. Many more in and around Medellin. Yes the drive around to look for hookers will be gone. You will not get robbed. Sex tourism CAN be part of all this but you will have problems cat calling and acting like a fool. Be respectful and enjoy the upgrades.

Sadly I also asked that question when I wasn't around for a few mo just out of curiosity, and bc so many reports here were complaining about it, the park construction.

But after coming from there last week, I barely paid attention to it and I didn't even mention it in my report I just wrote.

It's all business as usual, lots of honeys in the street, they are mainly now in CL 10, and in fact the girls now walk and stand all the way up near La Provencia area where you have 100's of restaurants and regular folks eating and drinking in the street.

Some say they feel like there are more high class clientele in that section. I did pick up few from that area and it's no where near Llera LOL.

From Weds to Sat night there are literally 100's of girls in the street, it's something to see, lots of new faces. Upon entry in that area my reaction is "Lawd help us, I need a stronger Penis" and sneak right in that Drogeria to grab some Sildenafil.

It will be early next year, since getting thru the rainy season which prevented them from putting in the sub-surface drainage system, they have been making a lot more progress as of lately from what I have observed and was told by one of the workers a few weeks back. The Park' completion is sadly needed to rejuvenate the neighborhood, and since more and more SW's from Centro have been showing up to work evenings, I suspect there will be more to follow once the Park re-opens. And this may become problematic if the Park becomes totally awash with Putas.

However, many who used to patronize the establishments around the Parque have migrated up the hill to Provenza. So it will be interesting to see how things pan out relative to the business's and the Putas. At least there will be a lot more seating available as they have installed lots of new benches. I'm sure there will be a lot of press and fanfare when it re-opens. And will probably see lot's of pictures and videos of all the SW's sitting on the benches.

Last time I was there in June, Parque Lleras was completely closed and walled off while they were doing construction. Has the construction been completed yet and is it open again for "business"?Snook.

Went there yesterday night, still in construction. Planning and speed are not common qualities here. I think all the shops around it are losing money.

Santa Marta is my favorite beach town in Colombia. And there is local talent in the streets and Parks which you won't find in San Andres, and the pricing of girls is on par with Medellin.
