I hope I'm not repeating information others have reported. (When I'm boots on the ground, I don't keep up with ISG as well.)

I just returned from my latest MDE trip. I stayed at the mansion (M1). People seem to have a strong opinion on the value, with fair arguments on either side. I am a fan myself. This past week, there was a good group of guys that made the down time enjoyable. The problem was that there were more guys than girls. What makes the mansion so nice to me is the ability to sit and chat with the girls at the pool. There were days that there were literally two girls there all day. I'm not sure how long this will go on. In talking with some girls I trust, the hotel has clamped down on who can enter. Essentially, a girl needs a date to get in. Honestly, that sucked! The more I think about it, the more angry I get. No one goes there for the luxury accommodations. So I don't see a bright future for them if they keep this up.

I'll call this a bit of educated speculation. But apparently, several days back, a disgruntled girl called the police and reported some illegal activity in the hotel. That brought the police in, caused some inspections and some big headaches for the hotel. So maybe a crackdown is part of the process. But it sucked. The bar downstairs was slightly less impacted but there were significantly less people. I'll also mention that most of the rooms at M1 were completely vacant last week. So take that for what it's worth. But it was very disappointing.

I think you were quite right to pay the fee and cut your losses. The girl knows she has much less to lose than any of us. She can continue escalating and making a nuisance of herself.

On safe side, I explained to the situation in reception and other office personnel. They asked me if I wanted to call the police but since I already knew what would happen just refused. They would blacklist her visiting the hotel which I don't believe as they see these very often to keep track of girls.

I took the copy of her cedula from the hotel for safe side if anything happens involving her gangs later on ...

Unfortunately what you experienced goes with the territory.

I've been in some similar situations where a Chica will not do what was agreed to or spend the time agreed to, and flip out, but never had one get physically violent with me. Albeit some may not agree with this, but you did the right thing by just paying her the full amount as promised to get her out. The last thing you want is a third party getting involved.

My only suggestion would be when a Chica flips out, threatens to call the Police, etc. Do not pay them in the room. Instead, tell them you are going to pay them what you agreed to, have the money in your hand, and upon exiting the building hand them the money. The reason I suggest this is because the Chica may try to say you didn't pay her what you agreed to if a third party gets involved, or demand more in the room.

You always want to diffuse the situation, versus escalate it when you have a "psycho" chica your dealing with, and paying her the full amount to leave was the right call, albeit there may be some other board members that don't agree with this.

This is not completely fair to facebook. I don't doubt any bit of your report but I think the facebook factor is coincidental. In other words, this sort of thing happens with girls from any source. Facebook, streets of Centro, mileroticos, etc. The least likely venue for this sort of misadventure are the casas.

Of course, you are right! Not necessarily from Facebook. Heard horror stories of Tinder and Parque LLeras girls. My friend had similar experience from PL girls before. I am beginning to think the best bet is going to casas which are much safer. If you like the girl, you can always get her to hotel.

The weekend ATM rate is what the international exchange rate was Thursday. If you look at the Google exchange rate for Thursday (if you can), it should be right about 4404.

I agree with you. I don't understand the hate for parque lleras. It's great for what it is a central pick up spot for girls with the added benefit of clubs / bars and restaurants surrounding the area. Yes the girls are quoting higher prices than centro. This board tends to skew older retirees with fixed incomes who prefer centro daytime action.

I do not hate Parque Lleras. But I hate many of the foreigner guys that frequently go there. The ones that need constant attention "look at me look at me" syndrome. They overspend and then bring that to Centro and to other cities because most are 2 week millionaires. This screws up prices for guys that spend 6 months or more in Colombia and the locals. They flash cash making it rain like they are big dogs. Travel in groups a lot thus talking loudly so all their buddies and people 30 feet away can hear them. They video everyone and load it up on Twitter, FB, YouTube, and so on. One of these guys described above put a girl on a leash and walked around Parque Lleras last year and put it on YouTube. It was on all the news stations in Colombia. The mayor of Medellin was livid. Then the example below from just last week.

This is not new. It is always that way because the ATM bank wants to make money by charging you so always decline. It is the same thing here in Brazil where I currently am. I go to ATM to pull money out and they always ask if I want to go with their conversion or not, of course I declined and get what CS exchange rate is.

Also keep in mind, when paying for anything like food, groceries, etc, the cashier asks if you want peso / dollar, always go with or pay with the country's currency as in peso in Colombia, not dollar. Your credit card / bank will do the exchange rate close to current rate.

SA girl was basically the high end of the range there, which again I'm not so proud of. Yes received BBBJ from here and the majority of the 5-6 chicas on the trip, with the exception of the threesome with the centro SWs. Maybe it was something else or a low dosage because I snapped out of it eventually. I guess just a warning for anyone that gets on that party bus after the bars close in El Poblado, be very careful with what you drink / ingest.

Anyways, I feel the need to get back on the horse, and I'm back to MDE this Friday. Anyone looking for a wingman? I'm trying to check out some more non-Poblado places this time!

Santa Marta is safer than any other city I know in Colombia. The place is absolutely swarming with police. They are experiencing a real touist boom so there are police on almost every corner, trying to protect the golden goose.

First time was with my LT GF. Second time was for a 3-some I couldn't turn down (could have been anywhere). 3rd time was cheap flights and only 2 nights with a girl that was begging me to go. Whereas I spent maybe 3 years in Santa Marta, on and off. Am there now.

Today I wanted to take some pesos, without having to pay a fee or an outrageous margin on the exchange rate from USD to COP.

The Davidienda cajero at east Poblado wanted to give me a 4073 pesos per 1 USD, and clearly showed a "the exchange margin is 7. 5%. That shit was not nice, so I cancel the transaction and went to the Tesoro mall to use Colpatria.

Once at Tesoro, I found immediately another Davidenda, so I wanted to give it another try. Damn, my debit card exchange rate was the same 4073 shit. -pay attention here- At this point I wanted to cancel, but instead of pressing the cancel key I instead (by mistake) selected *I do not accept the exchange rate*. With my surprise, the ATM started giving me money. I was so hungry because I thought I had lost 7. 5% of 1. 520,000 COP = 114 k but instead there was a good surprise. You did what you were supposed to do, always decline the conversion rate and it'll use the worldwide wholesale rate. If I remember correctly, accept the ATM fee and then decline the conversion rate.

I was in Medellin for ten days two weeks ago. It was my sixth trip this year. I had little bit bad experience before with different girls mainly from Facebook and people in general like in stores, hotels etc.

Other bad experience is, never ever order Domino's pizza with a credit card using Rappi. My friend and I ordered pizza around 8 pm using Rappi app. Rappi says delivery is handled by Pizza store itself. There was no update on the progress. It says 'in progress' on app. We waited patiently almost two hours then decided to go to bed starving. Next day, I get a message from Domino's on my phone, pizza has been delivered. Checked at front desk if delivered there but not.

Domino's used to take cash, not anymore. I heard front desk, same thing happened to another customer. Store takes orders with your card and delivered or sold to someone. So, unless it is a 'cash' and order managed by Rappi, I would not use Dominos anymore.
