You may file this under, Who Gives a Shit? And I wouldn't blame you

But for the record, I am taking everyone off my Ignore List, which I was using mainly as a time management device to keep me from getting sucked into the meaningless circular debates that are so prevalent here. I had half the frequent fliers here on my Ignore List and it was getting silly when I logged on sometimes and saw so many blocked messages.

I have decided for now, that's my issue and not anyone else's. I need to learn more self-control, so I will try to turn this into a positive.

And like any woman's prerogative, I reserve the right to change my mind at any time and for any reason, jajaja.

Ostee Out and ready to Keep On Keepin' On!

I did not give Catgirl her full due

She bought our little lot in San Cristobal without my knowledge using money she had saved from what I had given her in the past and her own money from TikTok (she's back on TikTok, after getting kicked off for the third time for being the little minx that she is, jaja).

Yesterday, I got boots on the ground to inspect the property with her and I was overwhelmingly and happily surprised with what Catgirl had wrought. A new lower strata development went on the market with about 30 lots, and they were snatched up in three days. I am using the term "development" loosely. Folks are already out there building their own structures with their own hands inside the taped off lots. She discovered the lot by line of sight because it is very near the mountainside mega-apartment complex where she lives now and grew up. By a fluke, we got the best lot in the development even though there were only four left by the time she bought it.

The other buyers were scared off by a little ramshackle cinder block structure that was already on our postage stamp sized lot. But in fact, we are on the dramatic high point, and at the entrance, or what would be called "Lot #1" of the development, if you were comparing this to the US of A, except it's not comparable, jaja. To raze the little cement box that is already there will take next to nothing in time and effort. She did great.

Catgirl is already calling this build our "second house on the mountain" referring to the ongoing construction of our house in the country on top of the mountain, three hours north of Medellin. Except this time, our "mountain" is a little bump of land in San Cristobal, about a 15 minute moto ride from where I am staying now at The Nutti in El Centro.

This is not going to be the honey-haven for all my novias that I initially thought, because there simply is not enough space to build a structure that size. But we are going to build up, two stories, and if all goes as "planned" which it rarely does in Medellin, this house could be completed by the time or during my next return trip to Magic Medellin. This is not Poblado or Laureles, this is one of the poorer agricultural sections of Medellin, and I love it.

This is also on the checklist for Catgirl's life dream, to own a house, as she has been bounced around among different apartments and rooms her entire life, often against her will. Heck, since I met her in 2019, she has probably lived with all her belongings in nine different places.

The happiness and joy on Catgirl's face over this is indescribable. Of course, that makes me the happiest I an possibly be, too. Life is good.

    Fotos:

#1 View from our "front door" out toward the rest of the lots, we are on the entry road.

#2 The "house" on our lot now, jajaja. Catgirl was cracking me up, walking around on the inside saying, "Here is the kitchen, here is the bathroom. . . " Obviously, we are razing this structure.

#3 View down into the rest of the lots and our main, unobstructed view, not bad.

#4 The highway and exit to our lot. There is one lot between us and the highway so this view could be blocked, but on the bright side it would provide a sound buffer.

#5 Two of Catgirl's brothers and a friend clearing the lot, using machetes.

#6 My favorite foto of our lot, shows our elevation nicely.

#7 You can't see these structures from our development, but they are a short walk away, down the mountain.

#8 One our friendly neighbors building his own home, most of the structures will be "self-built. " We are having professional construction done on columns, two story house. Big enough for family and friends to come visit.

The tunnel is the standard route. From time to time the tunnel may be closed for various reasons, including accidents as another poster mentioned. This applies to cabs, ubers, and all other modes of transport.

Many other rooftops appeal to upscale customers, like Sky Bar, I visited the place and thought it was a nice spot to bring a date. Restaurants are plenty as well, Rocoto was a good pick for Peruvian food, I saw some mongers or sugar daddies catering to their girls there. If I'm back in Medellin I will stay in the Energy Living building again, to me it was worth the price and girls loved taking pictures from the balcony.

Nice report. Is Energy Living Airbnb or book direct? Any issues bringing in girls?
Airbnb and no issues. Each host might have different rules, check when booking.

That is not correct. I have been to Medellin three times this year. Each time the bus from the airport went through the tunnel. One time, going to the airport, the bus took the long route because of an accident in the tunnel.

    Best city for mongering

If you can put up with the weather and the altitude, imo Bogota is the best option; tons of girls and strip clubs; and of course the famous "santa fe"; I never been to Barraquilla though.

    Another option: colectivos

Another option (which I used before the pandemic) is a "colectivo" (shared white taxi). Price was 30 mil but probably has increased a bit. The driver drops you at the San Diego Mall, at the base of the road from the airport tunnel. There are taxis nearby to get you to your destination, though I negotiated with the colectivo driver to take me to Laureles for around the standard taxi rate. Here's a website with info on Airport-Medellin travel options. If you keep scrolling down from the comparative table, you'll find detailed info on each option, with prices in both euros and pesos, albeit a bit out of date.

    Medellin Trip Report July 2022

I spent 9 days in Medellin and overall had a great time. Transportation to / from the airport was 90 mil plus 10 mil tip. Book through https://acoataxiaeropuerto.com.co. The ride to Laureles or Poblado was about 30 min, beautiful view getting into the city.

Laureles area is more popular with locals, the area by La 70 is party town. If you want an area that's a bit quieter look for Segundo Parque de Laureles, better restaurants are found there too. I prefer a more upscale environment so I only stayed in San Peter 2 days, but it was clean and safe, but noisy and small for my taste.

Poblado is popular with tourists, Provenza has plenty of nightlife and coffee shops to mingle with locals too. Lleras park is surrounded by bars and nightclubs with hustlers trying to get you to come inside to spend, I didn't go for it.

Girls, I only made picks from Facebook and Instagram. It's a lot of work but if you score gold you can score big. I'm sure casas and centro are good alternatives, I didn't partake on either since my preferences are towards good accommodations and convenience, YMMV. My advice on Facebook is sweet talk a little, but find a way to be clear on what you want. Some of my initial lines were "Qu tal? La quiero conocer. Estoy en Poblado". If the girls ask what you want, I said "quiero una cita contigo", or "quiero que pasemos un rato disfrutando". If you need to clarify "quiero negocio". They know what you want from there. If all fails, say "cuanto quieres por la cita". If you need to back track invite them to a coffee.

I was shooting for a certain quality of girl, and I got what I wanted. Camila #4 was great. But I found a couple more that topped her. I also saw a girl posted here before, Kate Zuluaga. She was good with me, tall and pretty, maybe not the passionate girl that will make this her living forever but good enough to get the job done, she provided LFK and BBBJ until I got her to ride me for a finish while enjoying her succulent tits, YMMV. 250 mil plus taxi was worth it.

For a business oriented girl with good looks, I recommend Anlly, she seems to be pretty active on OnlyFans. Great tight body, pretty face and man made big tits. She was not very GFE but if you want to bang a hot girl I would go for it, she rides pretty good and is tight for good finish on K9 squeezing that tight ass. Her IG Anlly. O and her cost was 400 mil.

Street girls near Lleras were low quality for my taste, I didn't sample.

One last thing to say is that I had a couple of girls that had issues with their seedula, one came and wasn't allowed in because she said she forgot it. I paid her taxi and sent her away. The other girl I caught the issue before I gave her my address, always good to check for documents prior to arranging the date to avoid smelling the goods on arrival and getting blue balls.

I think knowing Spanish certainly helps but it's not a deal breaker, at least if you stay in Poblado. For me it sure helped being bilingual, but when I compared to being in Brazil did it really help make the experience that much better? I don't think so.

ATMs I used BBVA & BancoColombia, BancoColombia is easier to find everywhere although it charges 22 mil. I particularly cared more about convenience once again, not conversion or fees.

Lastly, safety. In my view, while outside the Airport or In La 70, or Poblado, day or night, I never felt unsafe and no one ever made me feel threatened. I didn't go to El Centro so I'm not the one to ask there. Transportation I used Uber and walked and again, no issue. There are cops everywhere and they don't bother you, I imagine that could change if you like attracting trouble.

I felt sadness when I headed to my departing flight back to the US, not just because the cheap action, but because the place has a magical power. I'm not sure if it's the Guacamayas flying freely in the sky or the great weather I experienced, could be that all girls smile and smell great, the music making you want to dance or the great coffee waking you up. I can see how this land has inspired great literature, see Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I will be back.

I bought my last dose at the last minute at the large pharmacy on the corner of Ground Zero. Usually you have to ask for it as they won't keep it on display. Also, herbal shops. Not hard to find.

    Greetings Everyone!

I just joined the site this morning and have been reading posts here in the Medellin thread and also other cities in Brazil and Mexico. Talk about feeling like a kid in the candy shop.

I've been a member of other similar sites so I know to read extensively first and then ask questions. I visited Medellin before the closure in 2020. If only I knew then what I'm learning now!

I'm mid 60's retired, speak just enough Spanish to not need a translator but just barely. I'm planning another visit in September. I hope to meet up with some of you all when I'm there.

So here is a question? In the forum are most of the frequent posters ex-pats or visitors? I suspect there are alot of things to learn from each group.

I see that after the election the peso had really dropped which makes this trip even more affordable than I thought it would be.

So much for my introduction. Hope to see you all soon.
