I like the current real estate market and the value of a USA dollar. Thru my novia, Catgirl, we have bought a piece of property in the city, on which we will build a house. There is a meaningless screenshot foto of our new lot below solely for emphasis. This will complement the current build en la cima de la montaa for our country home get away and another step in my dream life here in Medellin. Oh, and did I mention that I have the full buy-in from all my girls on my List to live together in this house, under one roof, with Catgirl as the reigning queen? Hence my reference to "harem" in a recent post.

Ah, but my situation is very pedestrian and ordinary. I am only seeking attention for self-gratification. You can find numerous such similar situations and examples anywhere on this board and in life, if you look. Or can you? Perhaps there is something to this milieu that makes is so unique as to be singular in the world? Could that be possible?

Don't forget, if some of what those who really believed what they wrote to be true, then they would take advantage of the wonderful feature they have here called the "Ignore List". But they don't and they can't. They use the "can't look away from a slow train wreck" excuse but the fact remains that intuitively and instinctively they know they are tapped in here and now. Fotos: After the foto of our new lot, there are two fotos that are great examples of the difference between the camera of a ProMax iPhone 13 or whatever they are called (second one I had to buy for Sexy Lexy in one week after her first one got stolen, geez) and the cheapest phone Nokia sells at the WOM store. The iPhone costing IKD, over 3 million COP, the Nokia 300 thousand. Sexy Lexy gave me an impromptu booty call in the middle of the night with a fantastic session after some real heart to heart talk. She is one of the most beautiful and sexy chicas you could ever hope to lay your hands on. She has been Top Four on my List from the day it was formed.

Purrfekt Piel came by today with her less than two-months post-partum milk jugs. She took me to a "clinic" in Maduro near Bello where they were supposed to take blood from my arm and spin it down to make platelet rich plasma and inject it back into my face, for cosmetic rejuvenation. Unfortunately, I am a very hard needle-stick and the girl attempting the procedure probably did not even have a high-school diploma. She was unable to obtain any blood from my arm for the procedure after four attempts (see foto). Purrfekt and I had a couple of tequila shots on our 30 minute walk back down the mountain to the metro station before we parted our ways. You know, another pedestrian (pun intended) day in my life in Medellin, jajajajajaa.

Visited Taberna Victoria. Smallest strip club I've been in here. Very dark inside. I would've chosen a different girl if it would be brighter. Damage 50 mil (I think) for 30 min. Definitely a contestant for a Golden Cockroach award in the Most Disgusting Room category (along with Nueva Avenida). This one didn't even have a lock and a girl had to move stack of chairs to block the way. One the plus side there was a telenovela on one of the screens which was somewhat entertaining and nice change from the porn (there was still porn on the other two screens).

Balcones de Cuba. Went upstairs, there was a lady at the reception behind bars, she said "no chicas". "Manana?" I asked. "No, no." I didn't understand most of it but got the gist there are no girls there. There was a man in there who was kind enough to give me directions to another place as I was leaving, which according to the hand gestures seemed to be Zandalay. I didn't understand 98% of what he was saying of course just nodded, thanked him and went on my way.

Visited Armonia again early afternoon. Line-up around 12 chicas, 4 to my tastes. Went with somewhat thicker Venezuelan with a cute face. I've developed a taste for dark skinned Vennies lately. On the way down a young Colombian guy (Felipe)) struck up a conversation with me as he saw I'm taking photos with my camera (I didn't work up the nerve to pull up that brick in el Centro yet).

He spoke awesome English (working for US company in Poblado), we had a quite engaging conversation and couple laughs on the way back to San Antonio where I dropped off. He also offered to be my guide. That offer I might've even taken since I liked the guy and he seemed genuine and not pushy, but he mistyped his own bloody number in my phone, ehh. And he specifically took the phone from me to type it himself, just so I don't make a mistake LOL and made me promise to ping him if I need anything. Chances I run into him again are rather slim since the only reason he was riding the metro that day was to pick up his motorbike from the shop. Too bad.

Tried fried sausage on a stick from street vendor, didn't get an upset stomach next day. Got a complementary round thick pancake with it which I took a bite of then started seriously doubting that choice and whether it was eatable at all. "Maybe it's a coaster or something" were the type of thoughts running through my head.

I'm not so keen on street meat since I stumbled on that street with all the raw meat lying around in the sun and stinking though, made me wonder who buys it.

Love the choice of fruit here. Funnily enough first time I went for groceries I managed to find the only shop that didn't seem to carry any avocados. I can't get enough of them at home and it was the first thing I wanted to try after landing to see whether there's much difference in taste and was the only reason I even went shopping that day. "Damn, am I blind or smth? I can find the avocados, a *Colombian* avocados, in any store all the way back in my home town but not in Colombia.? Am I actually in Colombia? Is it possible I took the wrong flight?" Hah found them since then. Tasty.

I love Cartagena. The mongering is unreal, and the historical sites and culture are amazing, but I am looking for a new experience. Which city offers the best mongering. Bogota or Medellin?

Both of them. Cali, Barranquilla, Pereira and Bucaramanga, as well as Cucuta all offer the best mongering too. It all depends on your criteria for "best."

Consider your preferred mongering style, the additional entertainment you enjoy, the climate, and all the other things which you will be dealing with and then decide which city is more likely to work for you.

IKR? When I read here it sometimes feels like I am surrounded by the dregs of society, but when I actually meet up with a guy from here (five so far, I think) they have all been stellar. I guess that's the whole InterWeb thang but I try to be as consistent on-line as I am in real life.

As a lurker who has been maxing out my tourist visa each year in Colombia, what Oste is saying is true in my case. What he posts is entertaining and one of the reasons I check this thread specifically. There are other posts that pop up in this thread that are interesting and provide some value, but a lot for the most part I could personally do without. I don't feel the need to actually ignore someone through that forum feature, but there are some names I see that I consistently read one sentence and then quickly skip past it. Oste knows he's living an unconventional life and isn't hiding it. Many others on here have a hard time being honest with themselves and it shows. Myself included, which is probably why I lurk and don't post.

The inference being that I am a truth seeker, or as the Bard himself put it it, "To thine own self be true". Doesn't matter nor do I care if someone approves, disapproves, condones, likes, loathes, loves or simply has apathy for what I bring to the table. I am tapped in to some kind of universality that we all share, and why not use a forum about one of the most primal urges and instincts to discuss it?

To those of you who follow me and don't or rarely post, I know this may sound strangely mystical, but I feel you. A gentleman sent me a PM the other day to tell me that he was getting married. He pointed out he was nothing like me, didn't do drugs, didn't monger, but that he came to Medellin and met the girl of his dreams. I got choked up when I read it.

Every time I do this I regret it. I went back the next day and did my favorite sister of the trio, and included a second sister the last half-hour. As a stand-alone session there was nothing to complain about, at par. But whenever I go back to the same chica the next day after a fantastic session it's like trying to catch lightening in a bottle.

I've been checking the XE Rate this morning and it seems to change every hour.

4542 COP to the USD as shown on the screenshot at whatever the time zone is they use.

So supposedly on Wednesday I might get something close to this amount according to a few other posters.

Time to stock up on COP before it drops back down, but who the hell knows.

To put this all into perspective, please consider this question. What does Gustavo Petro or anything else in Colombia have to do with the US dollar being at its highest rate against the euro in more than 20 years? You and I are saying basically the same thing.

Since the election, there has been one down day right? What this means is that someone or ones is just engaging in pure panic selling. They do not care what the exchange rate is, they are moving out of Colombian assets and currency price be damned.

Until you see just some level of support, a few days of a stronger or even steady COP, that means the COP is likely going to continue to go down in value. The demand to sell Colombian assets and currency is way, way higher than the demand to buy them. I would not exchange money until you see three days of stable or lower rates if you can help it.

I would also keep an eye on the USD: Euro ratio. As the Euro keeps falling, those selling Colombian assets are more apt to park their money in dollars versus Euros.

These are monster moves in a currency market. The market is telling a much different tale than those on the forum who say with Gustavo in charge, nothing is going to change.

Good points, I might just hold out on taking any money from ATM until COP stabilizes or until I literally run out of COP. I got another month here, so before leaving I'll see if I should stock up or it might even hit 5,000 by end of the year, who the hell knows right.

Don't be surprised if tomorrow's Visa rate is a little under 4400. I looked at XE's chart for Friday and at the end of the day, the rate fell below 4400. Either way, don't go to the ATM yet. The rate is still going up. Right now the XE rate is 4580.

Looks like it's 4,388 for tomorrow.
