Immigration is very efficient at MDE. Unless your flight arrives right after another flight, you should be out of immigration in less than 30 minutes after arrival. If you have pre-arranged transportation or use the white taxis, you should be in Poblado in less than an hour after you get out of the airport.

A tip for guys flying into MDE.

To speed things up, I always sit in the front of the plane as close to the exit as possible.

If your in the back of the plane, it may take as long as 30 minutes or more, but if your one of the first in line, it could be as short as five minutes.

Regardless, MDE as you mention is very efficient, way more than Bogota, which I try to avoid flying into.

If you have pre-arranged transportation or use the white taxis, you should be in Poblado in less than an hour after you get out of the airport. The bus may take a little longer because of the wait before leaving the airport.

If you've pre-arranged with a FB lady, almost all are safe. There will be very few available at that time of night if you are searching. Strip clubs are safe, but attractive ladies are rare.

I just checked arrivals at MDE, and there are no international arrivals between 7 and 8pm. Flight from Miami (8:10pm), from Cancun (8:12pm) and from Mexico City (8:25pm). That's today's flights, obviously must be different the day you arrive. You can look at www.medellin-airport.com to see all arrivals and departures.

Been a few years since my last visit. What's the best method of travel these days? If priority is safety and comfort.

Uber, taxis, or other?

Reco to stick with one company or driver the length of stay?

Uber, DiDi, and taxis (Cabify) have been my go-to transportation providers. If it's not raining and not during rush hour(s), Uber and DiDi are about the same. Uber raises they prices ridiculously when it's raining. DiDi also increases prices during rain. Both increase prices during times of heavy traffic. If it's raining, usually Cabify is the best price.

For the past six to nine months, all forms of transportation on an app are not as plentiful as prior to that. I rarely flag down a taxi on the street, and never around Parque Lleras. Most taxi drivers in areas outside Parque Lleras are honest, but it only takes one to spoil your ride. I have tried In-Driver; but in my experience, they usually only accept fares equal to or higher than one of the other three. Cabify gives a price range. They usually stay within that range, but sometimes go over.

An app provides some sense of security because you have their name and license plate number.

It's too much trouble trying to stick with one driver.

I'the plan more immigration time. I landed 1:15 and had scheduled a 4 o'clock thinking I had plenty of time. No dice. Immigration took forever. Hit my condo in Laureles at 3:45! So a full 2. 5 hrs from landing. I'the just plan a bit more time than you expect.

I will write a report when I get home I still have four more nights. Things I have found out while being here solo and no sense of Spanish whatsoever.

1.) 2 and 5 mil propina gets you along way with information, assistance and honestly people willing to help and happy to do it. It seemed as if propina is shunned in this forum but it has been a life saver for me.

2.) FB chicas is the easiest way to go and very, very safe and convenient (I have 24 hour security with thorough Cedula checks and calls to room before they let the girl buzz out) prices have been 200 plus taxi a couple I did 300 because I agreed. (11 days 13 girls so far). Going out finding girls and not knowing Spanish is for the birds and FB is like a Rappi delivery system just facts. .

Staying at the Orange Suites in Astorga is a great location, you can easily walk up to Lleras and the Provenza area in under ten minutes, and the Manila restaurant barrio is directly across Calle 10 from where your staying a few blocks over.

And the Poblado EXITO is five minutes away, and the Metro another five minutes away by foot.

Based on your post, your definitely in a groove and enjoying how your rolling along with where you staying.

Lots of times guys have everything covered when it comes to the Chicas, but have a tough time where to stay, or the reverse.

In your case, you've got them both covered.

4.) The orange suites maybe the best place to stay in Poblado very safe and secure and you can have up to three additional people to the apartment. It is eye candy because it looks like you spent a lot of money to stay there (I paid $1000 usd to stay 14 days).

5, it rains at some point every day so know that and plan according. I will be here four more nights and still have things I will do like La Isla and Parque Lleras I will do one tonight but face book will always be the way to go for me from now on. I don't want to come here and not go to the famous park and strip club so I will. * Indriver is a God if you can't get uber* Make sure you get one or the other. I will update more of what I have learned and have discovered.

The tranvia literally does not enter or pass through Boston. There is one casa I am aware of along the route of the tranvia. The nearest stop would be San Jose and it is diagonally across the tranvia tracks from the San Ignacio park plaza. It used to be called Estambul; you can find it on the various maps published on this website. Boston is north of the tranvia route (Ayacucho aka calle 49). Parque de Boston is a lower key, more mixed use version of Parque de Periodista. In other words, weed and other drugs are sold and consumed somewhat less openly than at "Stoner Park. " There are no casas that I am aware of in Boston. The casa nearest Boston would be Aiffe. It and all the others in Centro are across the southern border of Boston. Like many neighborhoods that aren't gringo intensive, Boston's character changes in a bad direction after dark.

Search Facebook on this section of the forum, you'll find lots of info on how to use facebook in Medellin. Basically you need to get chicas as friends, on your friend list, and go from there.
