If I want a better meal, I go to a better restaurant with better food and I pay more. If I want to stay in a nicer place, I don't go to a $15 a night hotel and I don't go to a nice hotel and insist they only charge me $15 per night. I pay the price appropriate for what I want. Let's try a real comparison. If want a nice filet, I don't go to McDonald's, pay $50 and pretend one of their hamburgers is the same as a filet. I head to a restaurant where I can get a nice filet. I don't tell them I'm only paying the same as I would pay at McDonald's and I'm not paying the filet price and asking the waiter to go get me a burger from McDonald's. I get the filet and I pay for the filet.

As for taxis in Bogota. You walk out of the terminal and hop on the bus to Portal Eldorado. It's free. You get off the bus buy a card for the TransMilenio, get on the bus going to where you want to go. It costs less than 3 k and it's usually quicker than a taxi.

Or use an app, or get one of the airport taxis. Whatever works for you. If paying or saving 10-15 k is going to have any impact on your visit, then you've got a lot bigger problems than what someone else is spending.

I went to both of these places within the last week, so I thought I would give a review of each and compare.

Esperanza is in Poblado which makes it more convenient than Happy Massage since Happy is in a place where not many mongers would stay. I took an Uber to Happy for like $3, so it's still pretty accessible.

In terms of price, Esperanza was 130 k while Happy was 185 k for body on body massage.

I'm terms of the whole experience, Happy really did feel like luxury which is why it costs more I guess. The person responding to you on WhatsApp is fantastic and speaks English. You arrive and it's really professional. The masseuse leads you to the room and the room is very nice.

In terms of the massage, the massage by Happy was so much better. The woman at Happy was like a 9 in my book while the Esperanza woman was like a 7 or 8.
