I am calling BS on this. It is not a relatively simple process! I have tried for a half an hour and Claro App will not let me get through the registration process by using my US cell number and passport. You have to have a Claro number or a Claro Sim card in order to create an account!

LOL. How are you trying to register a phone without a SIM and phone number? I agree that it is not a simple process. I could not do it on the app either, after the lady at the store told me there was no need to do it.

I bought my SIM in July and Saturday I finally got the dreaded message that if I did not register my phone by February 16 it would be blocked on their network. I immediately went to a huge Claro store in the biggest mall in Barranquilla. The lady told me it was not a service center and I would need to go to the service center Monday. The first thing Monday I went and it took the lady like 10 minutes to register my phone and passport number in the system. No Claro employee ever said you can just do it in the app. And if it took her 10 minutes on their own company computer, it does not seem simple at all.

Of course you need a Claro Sim and Claro phone number to use the claro app to register your phone. And if you had a Tigo sim card and phone number then you would use the Tigo app.

I think you misunderstood something in the process. If you don't have Claro then why the hell would you be using the Claro app? That's like if you had Verizon and we're trying to use the T-Mobile app.

The process is very simple I will outline it for you agn.

1.) When you are physically in Colombia purchase a Claro sim card and put a cheap plan on it at the claro store or gana or wherever (there's plans available from 3 mil to 31 mil pesos).

2.) Slap the sim card into your phone and you should have signal and data and be able to place phone calls and send/rec SMS to Colombian numbers.

3.) Now download the MiClaro App from the Playstore or Apple.

4.) Use your new phone number to register the app to your account.

5.) Within the app there will be the option to register the IMEI number of your phone with your passport or cedula so that it doesn't get blocked.

Make sure you do this within 30 days of first using the phone in Colombia or it will be blocked.

If you choose to use Tigo then the process is pretty much the same but the app is called MiTigo.

Thank you, sir. You are correct! I was under the incorrect assumption that I could register my phone and then buy a Sim card for a Colombian number. Obviously, as you just explained, that is backwards. I will try on my next trip and let you know. Thanks again for your help, I am a slow learner ha ha.

Medellin or Tijuana guys?

This is not even a question. Medellin hands down. I don't care what anyone says LOL.

As far as my experience goes, I will never get tired of paisas. They got the best pussy in the world. Even when I was Mexico, I was still banging Colombianas there. Every single paisas gave me the GFE experience and sex did not feel mechanical unlike, mexicanas which most of them are. They loved sex as much as we do and I love hearing paisas when they moans in the bed, they have the sexiest accent. Cost wise, Medellin beats Tijuana easy. I do live in the East coast so MDE is just 6 hours away.

Why does this seem to be so difficult for you guys? Seems like every couple months someone posts about this.

Everytime you buy a new phone or bring in a phone from out of country you have to register the IMEI of said phone. Not sure about Movistar but with Tigo and Claro you can do this yourself within the miTigo or mi Claro app.

It is a relatively simple process that asks for your cedula number if you are a citizen or passport number if you are a foreigner. There is no need to have someone from the cell phone store do it for you and there is no need to keep buying a new sim card every few months. I have had the same Tigo sim card now since early 2022 and I have used it in various different phones.

I just tried again to register , this time on the on Tigo app and same thing, it refused to let me. So apparently you can bring a US phone in to the country but you have to have an existing Claro or Tigo number in order to register the new phone that you just brought in from the US.

I've spent a lot of time in both locales over the last 10 years and I think MDE wins hands down. Virtually every reason I could give you is subjective. But for me, it's nearly unanimous. I really only added Tijuana to my upcoming trip due to nostalgia. I had so many great nights there. But I am thinking this is my last visit to Tijuana. I still like Tijuana, but given the cost, the service and the fact I prefer paisas to the Mexicanas, it's time to close that chapter. ".

Some of the best pussy in the fucking world can be found in Tijuana, MDE quality is not that different.

But I like the weather much better in Tijuana (beach too).

The food is fucking amazing the best in the world.

There are some girls who are just interested in selling content. If so, I just delete them. There are also girls who try to sell you content but are also interested in meeting you if you say no. I usually just say I am not interested in buying content but if you would like to meet when I am in Medellin, it is possible. If they say yes, then we can negotiate the terms as my trip gets closer. There is really no reason to negotiate terms too far ahead of your trip. Girls are much more interested in someone who is coming to Medellin soon.

I have had good sessions with girls that I have met who also tried to sell me content so it is not a red flag to me.
