A monger from the Thailand boards evaluating new travel opportunities. One thing common in the land of smiles is sideline girls, girls who aren't pros but pick up some cash on the side. In my opinion, La Isla has a better average, as far as attractiveness goes. Barra Ejecutiva can get some who are pretty low rated. However, both clubs get about the same number of superior looking girls. In El Centro you're probably better able to get the hottest girl to your table. You'll face more competition at La Isla.

La Isla is by far the most comfortable strip club and the service is excellent. But as a lone guy there, you're competing with a lot of big groups who are throwing money.

I appreciate the advice. You've just added a stop for my trip next week. I don't mind spending a fair amount. And generally, I'm not a trophy hunter. But I can't compete with the top dogs in money, looks, or game.

I found getting a cab out of Pl Botero area difficult even in the afternoon. I had to walk about 1 mile down South before a cab stopped for me. He drove about half a mile, his cab just quit. I had to walk again and find another cab. So forget about getting a cab in that area after dark.

The easiest way to get a cab in the area you described is to go to the street adjacent to the Museum, its the main road from the Nutibarra, and look for guys getting taxis for others.

Some very poor Colombians / Venezuelans grateful to get some coins for hailing a cab for you.

And some of them will literally jump in front of an empty cab to hail one, and they typically they a dirty rag they use to flag the taxis down.

It is cultural, and does not translate smoothly from USA to Colombia.

If you stay in a building with a nice elevator, with a big mirror, you'll likely see a picture of your Facebook dates in that elevator within a few hours.

The designer clothes are often just locally produced fakes.

One easy way to get pictures, if the girl is taking selfies in your mirror is to point out your camera is better.

YMMV, but I've not noticed any correlation between service and number of selfies taken.

I went to parque Lleras in my last trip to medellin and there was a club that has "Lleras park" written in lights. What is the name of that place? Is that club gusto? I went in with a group of friends and it was loaded with girls willing to leave with me, but I did not partake. I definitely want to return. How much are the prices? The club you are taking about is on the west side of the park. Gustos is no the north side of the park above the Medellin Beer Factory.

Any decent Spanish language classes / schools in Laureles? Not super expensive. Going to MDE again for about 3 weeks, I thought it would be great to improve my weak Spanish, I could do 2-3 hrs of studying daily.

Also, if anyone could recommend a reliable STD testing lab that would be appreciated. Looking forward to bareback sessions, LOL.

That place looks about 1 mile from Parque Berrio.

The other bros posted about sitting at restaurants near Plaza Botero, may be on the street behind Iglesia de Vera Cruz. I was sitting om that street, drinking beers, watching for any potential robbers hanging out, but did not see any, no policia, no potential undercover cops. The metro runs until 11 PM. That whole retail shopping area could do more business after dark, but stores all closed down, perhaps the Metro is not safe after sundown. I did not ride it at night so had no idea.
