    Again? Move on!

I took Camila to the hotel near Santa Fe mall after midnight. She immediately went to those taxi guys, kidding around with them like they know each other well. The driver looked scraggy, dirty, unshaven, blood-shot eyes like he was high. He was driving fast and erratically down narrow, dark streets, very close to getting broadsided at an intersection. He showed me a plastic bag with 4 joints and kept pushing me to buy, said the girls wanted it. I refused to buy.

He was just driving straight down Ave Poblado to my hotel but got lost a couple times. When we arrived and I paid him, he looked confused, disoriented, must be high on drugs.

Camila had a stinky pussy and reneged on her offer, also trying to steal from my luggage, so I paid her quickly and took her down to the street. While I was securing the front door, she walked down the dark, long side street. Within a few seconds, I walked out to check on her but she already vanished. There was no way she could have walked 1/3 mile to the end of that street within that time frame. So the taxi driver was waiting for her and she got in it. Looked like they had planned to drug and rob me with those joints and make quick escape in the taxi. They probably have done it to other guys before.

To avoid getting set up and robbed, avoid the taxis working with girls near Lleras. Book UBER rides to be safe. UBER cars are usually nice, new, clean, drivers honest, careful, respectful. The older, English-speaking UBER driver who drove me from La Isla was cool and nice. He drove me to please Botero then bar Lunera after midnight and waited for me each time to check them out without surcharges. He just wanted me to see other options in Medellin.
This about the 3rd time you've posted this. You seem to spend a lot of time on this thread about a place you don't like. Move on already!

I sat and watched the crowd for a while, overheard a few conversations as well. Just seemed to be roving gangs of short holiday type guys drinking beer and looking beyond disappointed.
Yes exactly what I noticed, totally bizarre, but totally makes sense as well.

The 31st of December is the day families spend together, more so than any other Holiday.

Hence since most of the working women have children, hence they are with their kids and family / boyfriends.

I'd imagine this is unlikely. Fentanyl is expensive compared to dirt-cheap coke from the source in Colombia. Well if anyone knew, or could identify what most likely happened, it would be you, as you logged so many hours in Jacuzzis when you were stuck in Colombia. LOL.

I don't even know what you mean by "it is close" but I think I know what you mean by same small area and that is a misconception. When this sort of thing happens to a foreigner and when it happens in the gringo gulches of Poblado and Laureles, it is considered to be more newsworthy and reported as such. In fact, it happens all the time all over the city. Disappearances and killings also happen all the time all over the city. By way of explanation, auto accidents worldwide are vastly more common than aircraft accidents. Unless an auto accident happens in a spectacular fashion or involves victims considered to be newsworthy, they don't tend to be documented beyond the local police records. Aircraft accidents, on the other hand, tend to get prominent coverage. So, in this instance it is the foreigner angle that is the equivalent of an aircraft accident versus someone flipping a car on a dark road. So don't be frightened, be aware.
As you note, there is an underbelly of killings, violence, drugs, molestation, violence against women, and other crimes that are not reported, and if so to the Police, are not reported publicly in the news media, especially from the poorer barrios of Medellin.

A big issue here is the violence some of the women here have to endure from Colombian men, and with little recourse if any.

A different world for most of us, and hard for me to fathom at times.

    Humping half sides of beef

    Blackthought.

Yep. I like girls with nice, tight, smooth, natural, beautiful, sexy bodies like this sweetheart in the pic, not huge girls with pumped up, bloated, lumpy, freaky-looking bodies.

Some La Isla girls looked so huge, like half sides of beef.

I generalized it with situations involving people turning up dead in rented accommodations around the Valle de Aburra. Expand your search beyond foreigners and Laureles / Poblado / Sabaneta if you are interested in the subject matter. If you aren't interested, then don't worry about it. Here are a couple of quick examples that may be more compelling because I published them on ISG:

    https://theworldnews.net/co-news/en-...ro-de-medellin

    https://www.alertapaisa.com/noticias...-belen-aliadas

As for my point about the foreigner / Poblado angle, most search engines return disproportionate results involving foreigners. You may know that search engine results are neither random nor representative of objective reality. The information choice is yours.

Take A White Taxi Instead And Enjoy The Ride

Fortunately, life is much simpler than it often appears on websites like this one.
I don't know about most members here, but when I arrive in town, the last thing I want to do is mess around taking the bus, sharing a ride in a collectivo, and having to transfer to a taxi or bus to get where I'm going. When I arrive, I always grab a white taxi at the airport which costs 90 K which includes the tunnel peaje.

And yes, I know that for 20 K or less, I could get to my destination, but typically when I arrive I've been on a red-eye, and just don't wan to deal with much. And yes, I know that the 70 K savings could cover two low budget fugly fucks in Centro.

I went with some random guy who claimed to be an Uber but wasn't, door to door to Laureles. 30 k. He drove well so I tipped him 10 k. Was probably risky but I had nothing to steal and am pushing 50 years of travel in LatAm. The bus had a long line, about three buses' worth. This was around 9 AM. I took the bus back from San Diego Mall. It's not really clear where to catch it if you don't take note of which way the airport is. If you do, it becomes more obvious which side of the mall you need.

Thank you for you comments on my the accuracy about the airport buses

Yeah, I had tunnel vision for The Nutti. The purpose of the article was to explain how to get to from the airport to the registration desk of The Nutibara Hotel in El Centro by bus.

Everything I wrote was from direct personal experience, including getting on the wrong bus one time at the airport, getting off at a mall in Rio Negro, after which the bus driver told me he was returning to the airport, and then I took a taxi back to MDE. You wrote 'most' which is vague, technically anything above 51% or above is 'most'. I was thinking more like 98.45745 percent, jeje, but I will defer to your "Knowledge" because anyone with a screen name like yours, must be correct 100% of the time, right? Unless you chose your screen name as a joke, in which case I agree with you that it's funny, I've never been sure.

    I abhor misinformation, consider myself a truth-seeker, and I always welcome fact-checking.

Random gratuitous fotos from Panama City today. My friend is a Panamanian tugboat captain on the canal and he gave me a nice little tour today. I will be back in our beloved Medellin on Monday with a confirmed 90 fresh days on my tourist stamp in my passport (commonly and technically erroneously referred to as a 'visa') with the potential to add 90 more days, for a total of 180 potential days in MDE in 2022, including arrival and departure days.

I found an awesome niche for mongering here in Panama City that appears to be one way the locals roll here considering I was the only gringo I saw for hours. We are spoiled by the pricing in Medellin, and everything is more expensive here in Panama City, but I ended up paying a fraction of what the mongerers are forking over at Habanas and the casinos. Maybe it all equals out in the end, you can decide that for yourself after my next post.

Thank you ISG and PacificLots from the Panama thread! Life is good, and I am having fun. The rooms are huge at the Hotel Coral Suites, chica friendly and no guest fees! More to come, after I wash, rinse, and repeat tomorrow.

I am afraid that you cannot pay with a card. But the instructions can be found to set up a free bitcoin wallet. If you scroll toward the top of this page the link is in the big gray banner Green Letters two lines down from where it says ISG Forum Now Accepting Bitcoin. In Green Letters it says "Get FREE Bitcoin Wallet". The link next to it says "Buy Bitcoins online with VISA & MasterCard" also in Green Letters.

You will be dropped off yards from the back of The Nutibara Hotel (The Nutti) in El Centro. The other bus goes to RioNegro, and drops you off at a mall, far from downtown Medellin.

Sometimes the El Centro bus goes thru the tunnel, sometimes it doesn't, don't worry about it. There are people getting off before you get to El Centro, it will be obvious when you get to the final stop downtown. You will pass a nice city park on your right (Parque Simon Bolivar) when you are close, a few blocks away.

You pay as you exit the bus, the price is now 13 mil COP, (13.000 Colombian pesos, yes they use periods instead of commas). That's two price increases since I started riding the bus in 2019. You don't need exact change but get as close as possible. If you hand the bus driver 15 mil COP, that's like a 50 cent USD tip, if that doesn't bust your budget. Tips are generally not expected in Colombia. For comparison, a taxi will cost you 80-90 mil COP depending on exactly where you are headed in Medellin.

As you step off the bus look across the street and to your left for this restaurant, La Raza. While I was there La Raza was open very late, after the last bus of the day. BTW, the food in there is good, pricey by Colombian standards. Chicas love the place.

The Raza is the back entrance to "The Nutti. " You used to be able to walk into the reception area directly thru The Raza but they put a card key lock on the door right before you get to the hotel lobby. Your room key will work it, but obviously you need to check in first. Pearl: There is a BanColombia ATM tucked to your right as you stand at the door to get into the lobby. There is often a line of people waiting to use it but that ATM is open when almost all others nearby are closed. For example, with your room key you can use that ATM at 4 AM in the morning if you so choose when there is no line. 600 mil COP max withdrawal, but I have done two back to back and four in one 24 hour period with no problem.

You can catch the eye of the bellboy and he will let you in to the lobby or walk to your left past the food court around the bar and exit where I circled in the last foto, and you will come out in the front of The Nutti with the main entrance close to your right, up the ramp..

I am relieved and horrified at the same time. I feel great relief that slapshot remains among the living with us. I am horrified that the deceased gringo likely brought the fentanyl with him. I agree with slapshot that it is unlikely to have been acquired locally. If in fact fentanyl or some such similar substance was at play.

My GF has upgraded her friends group, and boy it was a fun few months to close out the year. One night, it was me and 4 girls in the jacuzzi, and the cops showed up. My GF was such a boss. They called our phone, said they were coming up, and she asked if they had a warrant. We were all fucked up. I was in a panic. Nonetheless, they banged on the door a few times, rang the doorbell, and eventually left. Apartment owner was a bit upset, but it all blew over after a couple days. Apparently, some one in a neighboring building called the cops, and a few units in my building complained. Other than that, we had some amazing nights. I'm too lazy to do editing and a photo dump..
