Thank you very much for your help! This is my second time in Colombia (first time in Manizales) and I know how it should be dangerous to walk alone at night in El Centro. Because of mongering is not my first goal, I prefer to avoid unsafe places and situations so I probably won't go to visit the strip club scene in El Centro.

In general mongering in Manizales is very low key, there is money in Manizales and the people in control prefer it not to be another Medellin. That being said, the locals need places to release their sexual tension just like any place so there are places to go, you just won't find them without the help of a local. My advise is to enlist the help of a taxi driver and if they don't help you ask another one. There is a small but decent strip club scene but it is in El Centro which at night is very dangerous, at least as dangerous as El Centro in Medellin, if I had to choose between walking at night in either place I would choose Medellin so if you go to the clubs in El Centro at night by all means go by taxi, DO NOT WALK, I can not stress this enough. I am very well traveled and the one and only time I have been in a life and death situation was the one and only time I decided to take a stroll in El Centro in Manizales and I was not walking alone. Anybody that lives in Manizales will tell you to stay out of there at night.

If you PM me I will give you the address and phone number of a small casa that has a stunning inventory as long as you promise not to post it here or anywhere else for that matter.

the best part of an overland trip from bogota to buca was the viewing of the countryside and chicamocha canyon with overnite stops in tunja and san gil. the zona rosa area by hotel chicamocha was absolutely dead at 8pm on a thursday nite, of the 6 places i looked into most were empty, only one place had any action with about 20 colombianos, the place was similar to passions in sosua d. r. in that the chicas were all inside a 'circle bar', with 2 dance poles, about 8 chicas with 2 pole dancing. i was there about 30 minutes and similar to passions as no clothes removed. my hotel was hotel principe cr 17 #37. 69, in centro 69, 000 cop, would be 120k plus elsewhere in colombia, very nice hotel, spotless, aircon, even fresh oj and cafe delivered to your room at 7am without asking. upon returning to hotel from zona rosa i could hear music nearby so i walked 100 m and on the 2nd floor was 2 ft wide you-shaped bar, about 4 ft hi, taking up the whole room, [30ft x 40ft] about 5 chicas were 'inside'. the place was classy looking. there were high bar stools around the bar, the chicas would approach you to take your beer order. i talked to a chica and asked when the chicas danced as about 5 where just walking around inside the circle. the deal is you pay 30000cop for her dance on the bar in front of you. i saw about 10 minutes of one dance and she still had all her clothes on when i left. she said no sex onsite. i told her i could hardly wait to get back to medellin. she seemed surprised when i told her for 30k i get 30 minutes of fun in mde. the next day decided to check out the casa situation, most were like in the santa fe area in bogota, in that the chicas hang around a 'lobby' in the front part of the hotel, so they are not actually on the sidewalk but damn close, the only available ones are in the 'lobby', lots of 3 to 5's. these places are rep001tered around the centro area, not clustered in serveral blocks like in santa fe. after a several taxis trips with different guys and having them asking other cabbies about casas, i finally found one similar to the mde ones. it is 'modelos club' ca14 #24. 70. 6454948 their card says 24 hours, except sunday 10. 00am. at 2pm about 5 chicas picked one about a 7, father was venezuelan, mother colombian, . paid for 30 min and extended to another 30. very enjoyable time. i forgot the price, but about 30% over mde centro prices.

i found my notes. 70k for 30min. 5k beer. but that venezuelan / colombiana chica was looks 7, attitude 9, sex 8, and i was lonely, and missing my mde chica so there!

This is my 4th trip to Pereira. I'm here now. As some of you know I'm here for the hot spring termales in Santa Rosa de Cabal. The people are friendly, its safe to walk around, theres some good eateries, Victoria Mall is.

Top notch, and the zoo is good. But outside of that theres not much here.

My hangouts are Plaza Bolivar, bar La Tranvia, the best place Cafeteria Dona Tere, and the real low end Parque Libertad. The chicas in all these places arent really that good looking, and I'm speaking from a bottom feeder perspective. I've been having a hard time getting turned on to any of them. Plaza Bolivar is mostly scruffty 18-25 year-olds. Bar La Tranvia is mostly a host type scene, with the girls joining you for drinks. Cafeteria Dona Tere is a loud bar with at least 10 chicas and a lot of drunk Colombian guys. Rooms in the back for action. A few sexy ones in there. Parque Libertad is a super low end scene, the streets around there have a lot of trannys hanging around too. Its cheap.

Great job. The map looks great and makes me want to go to Pereira. I have been thinking about visiting Pereira for a few years, but the members' opinion (including BB's) about the P4P scene in Pereira appears to be mix. Well, I may go in August if I get bored in Medellin. Thanks a lot.

- Flores Frescas (in Pereira). About 25 girls when I've been there (6 to 9 for their looks). The place is clean, good music, etc... The downside: as soon as you get in, you are seated and are "ordered" to order a dring. Cheapest drink available is about $40 000 (pretty steep) - no beer available. Calle 26 No 6-15, phone 336-8082 or 333-2125. Getting a girl upstairs will cost you a minimum of 80 000 for the half hour and I got mine for 110 000 for the hour. Adding the dring over that will mean a pretty expensive night in town...

- Star club. Comparable to the San-Diego strip club from Medellin. Could be a good place to hang out with a buddy and sip an inexpensive beer to get started during the night. Cra 13 #19-48 (frente del parque Olaya). Phone 335-6499.

- Amstel discoteca. This is a discotheque with plenty of working girls. Good quality of women. Cra 35 #10-11. Phone 326-4554.

- La whiskeria. This place is downtown. Also pretty good quality. Service is 40 000 + 20 000 for the room. It's open from 8PM to 2AM. Avenida del ferrocarril #13-43. Phone 334-6812.

- La barra. This is a pub with girls serving in bikini. Whoever you like you can get a show from or go to the room for the deed. Good concept. Cra 10 #20-21. Phone 335-3881.

- Pirineos Club. Good casa (next to the DTK "casa D" piedra). Service goes for around 80 000 for the hour. When I've been there, there was about 12 women (7 to 9). Calle 35 #5B-12. Phone 336-5128, cel: 316-420-4424. They also do domicilios (girl comes to your place).

- DTK "casa D" piedra (next to Pirineos club). Service goes for about the same price (80 000 for the hour). Also good choice. About 15 women when I've been there. Cra 5Bis No 35B - 10. Domicilio (24 horas). Phone 326-6738 or 311-301-7392.
