May 2019 Trip Report on Medellin, Armenia, Pereira and Manizales.

Day 1 & 2 - Medellin.

My flight landed 1:40 AM at MDE airport. I had only carry-on baggage so I'the breezed through immigration and custom less than 30 minutes. At the airport exit I took the Airport Bus to San Diego for 10 K COP. From the bus stand I walked less than 2 minutes to arrive at hotel. I arrived at the Hotel Zona Express 3:00 AM which I've reserved two nights for 110 K COP. The hotel was new as it was built less than two years ago but the rooms were extremely small. Maybe smaller than the prison cells. However, I chose this hotel because it was located right next to San Diego strip show. Unfortunately, when I've arrived most strip clubs in Medellin were near the closing time except El Faisan which was located one block from the hotel.

El Faisan was open from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM everyday and this was where the chicas from Fase 2, San Diego Show, La Isla and Luna Lunera go after their bars were closed. El Faisan was the mecca of the putas. (Luna Lunera operates 24 hours but some chicas go to El Faisan as the activity slows down) I was told that the owner of Fase 2 also owns this bar. So, I went to El Faisan at 4:00 AM and ordered half bottle of Aguardiente (70 K COP). The bar was located on the second floor and rooms for sex was on the third floor.

About half an hour later, the place was packed with lots of beautiful paisas and few Venezuelans. The guys were all Colombians and I did not see any gringos in the club. The third floor was putas rooms where I took the blond paisa from Bello for 150 K COP for half an hour to drain my first nuts. The price for an hour would have been 250 k COP. The mesero told me that the fourth floor was for VIP only and the floor can be reserved for minimum of 450 k COP drinks for private parties.

About 7:00 AM after the satisfying session I walked back to my hotel and crashed for the night.

I woke up around 2:00 PM and after quick shower I took the bus (#136) to plaza Botero for 2,200 COP. From the Botero plaza I walked to Parque Bolivar where I wanted my shoes shined while drinking cafe tinto. But when I got there, Parque Bolivar was closed off for the renovation and all the shoe shine boys were gone.

About 4:00 PM I went to Chicas Punto Com and took a cute looking chica from Estadio for 60 K COP for half an hour. After the session and very happy ending I walked over to GrillI Occidental where live strip show was going wild. The place was packed when I went in. I'the enjoyed live nude strip show while drinking Aguila Light. After few beers I went out of the bar to take a stroll from Avenida De Greiff to Veracruz where variety of putas were soliciting customers. I did not find anyone interesting so I took the Metro to Ayura station. Although I could walk from the station, I took a taxi from Ayura to Mayorista strip, where putas lined up for action. One pretty chica caught my eyes so I approached her. She quoted 50 k COP for half an hour and 20 k COP for the room. Her name was Veronica and she was from Armenia de Quindios. I did not take her because my nuts were already drained. How odd that I was about to go Armenia looking for pussies and Armenian putas come to Medellin to sell their pussies in incognito to avoid eyes of their families and friends in their back home.

Took a taxi back to hotel, took a nap and got up around 7:00 PM. I walked over to San Diego Mall, drew some cash from the ATM machines and ate dinner in the mall.

At 9:00 PM I walk over to Show San Diego and ordered half bottle of aguardiente. When I went in, the strip show was already in progress and cute sexy looking and slender chica came over to accompany me. She was 22 year old beautiful Venezuelan girl who quoted 150 k for half an hour. I took her in the back room and we had wild sex experimenting many different positions. She was a fireball!

From the San Diego club I took a taxi to La Isla around 11:00 PM. The place was packed with many good looking chicas and the strip show was in progress. Most girls here seemed to be with silicone breast and butt implants; beautiful to look at but to touch was bit too hard. I ordered half bottle of aguardiente and conversed with few chicas but did not stay too long. La Isla was the most expensive place in Medellin where putas demand 300 k COP for half an hour.

Came back to hotel and crashed for the night.

Day 3, Armenia.

After I got up, shower and breakfast I took the taxi to EOH airport to take a flight to Armenia. Took EasyFly flight from EOH airport and landed half hour later in Eden airport in Armenia. Took a taxi from the airport for 30 k COP to Hotel Centenario in central Armenia. I've reserved this hotel because it was located only few blocks from the Show Shango and other show bars. After, freshen up at the hotel, I walked over to plaza Bolivar and continued the stroll along the avenida Bolivar to parque Sucre.

The recommended tour option while in Armenia would be Recuca coffee plantation, Parque Nacional del Cafe and Salento. I have already been to these places so I did not take the tour on this trip. If I did go, I would have taken chica to accompany me for more enjoyable tour.

Armenia was hard hit with devastating earthquake in 1999 but 20 years later many newer and attractive buildings were built although many ugly, dilapidated and damaged buildings still could be seen. Nevertheless, I had a pleasant walk over the avenida Bolivar (pedestrian only lane) from the Plaza Bolivar to Sucre Park as there were many modern shops and restaurants along this road.

At the Sucre park I took a taxi to La Fogata restaurant and ordered stake. This restaurant is highly recommended. After the dinner I took a taxi to my hotel to take a rest.

About 8:00 PM I went to Shango putas block where all four bars were located in the same block. The walk to here was 2 minute from the hotel. I was told that these bars were owned by the same people and it was only zona de tolerancia in Armenia.

Bar Ejecutivo was on the street level with large glass door where I could see the inside from the street. This was the smallest of all other bars. I walked out of this bar not even finishing first beer because there were only three unattractive gorditas were inside. The price was quoted 60 k COP for half an hour including the room.

Bar Flor Del Valle was next to Bar Ejecutivo and also had a large glass door where inside can be seen from the street. This bar was much larger than Bar Ejecutivo and the place was packed with Colombian guys and about 20 chicas. The chicas were mostly average looking and the price was quoted 60 k COP for half an hour including the room.

Club Las Barras was next to the Bar Flor Del Valle but the place didn't have the glass door that inside can't be seen from the street. Inside had a large room but only about 10 chicas. The chicas were mostly average looking and the price was quoted 60 k COP for half an hour. The messero told me that while other bars were closing around 2:00 AM only this bar closes at 8:00 AM every day (they call this amanecida).

Grill Shango Show was on the second floor and it was the largest. The chicas were better looking than other bars and the price was quoted 60 k COP minimum for half an hour meaning that the price would be higher depending on the negotiation with chicas. I had ordered half bottle of aguardiente which gave me free lap dance with naked performer.

I invited an attractive blond named Paula from Pereira to partake the drinks with me. She said that she was a nurse in Pereira but making salary of only 1,000 k COP per month and came to Armenia to supplement her income. I took her for 80 k COP in the backroom for half an hour service.

Came back to hotel and crashed for the night. Tomorrow I will be in Pereira.

Day 4, Pereira.

Around 12:00 noon I've checkout from the hotel and took a taxi to Armenia bus terminal. Took a bus (Flota Occidental) to Pereira for 7 k COP and two hours later I've arrived at Pereira bus terminal where I took a taxi to Hotel GHL Abadia Plaza. I have reserved this hotel because from here I could walk over to Star Club or to Flores Frescas on either direction.

I've already been to hot spring in Santa Rosa del Cabal before, so stayed in Pereira where I walked around the plaza Bolivar, Lago park and Libertad park.

I had late lunch at the hotel and About 5:00 PM walked over to Doña Tere and ordered Aguila Light and invited an average looking chica for a drink. Her name was Manuela and she was native from Pereira.

In the bar I have noticed that there were many old dudes over 70 years old and some were in the eighties. Manuela told me that they all performed well in the bed by taking the blue pills. These old dudes come to the putas bar because their señoras would not let them touch them. I guess whatever the age is all have the need for sexual release from somewhere. I took Manuela for 64 k COP for half an hour in the upstairs room and pumped her until my leche was released and I was out of my breath.

Came back to hotel and relaxed for awhile and about 9:00 PM walk over to Star Club which was about 10 minutes walk. I've ordered half bottle of aguardiente for 80 K COP which gave me free lap dance from the naked dancer. The price was quoted 120 k COP for half an hour. I've invited cute looking chica from Bucaramanga to have a drink with me.

About 11:30 PM took a taxi to Flores Frescas. There were about 20 mixture of average and attractive looking chicas including some Venezuelan chicas. The price was quoted 240 K COP for half an hour.

Day 5, Manizales.

Took a bus (Afiliados Palmiras) from Pereira to Manizales for 12 k COP. At the Manizales terminal, I took a taxi to Hotel Granada Plaza. I have reserved this hotel as this was located within one block from Oasis bar and Taberna Sammy.

I ate early dinner a Azotea Rooftop restaurant on the top of the building and it had a great view of the city as it was located right next to the cathedral. Highly recommended.

About 6:00 PM I have walked over to Taberna Sammy. There were about 10 girls in the club and very few customers. I have invited Alejandra for a drink. She was from Pereira but staying at Manizales to work. The price was quoted 60 k COP for half an hour.

I left Taberna Sammy around 7:00 PM and walked over to Taberna Oasis. I went in and saw the place was packed with both chicas and the Colombian customers. I didn't see any gringos. The price was quoted at 60 k COP for half an hour. I invited cute looking chica for a drink. Her name was Carla and she was native from Manizales. I took her in the back room and she enthusiastically performed. Only complaint I might had was that the room was too small and had a couch instead of bed.

About 10:00 PM I took a taxi to Manhattan show, Casa Show and Joy Nightclub. I went in and saw only two chicas in every clubs. Maybe because it was early weekday. These places were boring so I came back to hotel. From these bars the prices were quoted 60 k COP for half an hour.

Next day I took a taxi to La Nubia airport. The EasyFly flight time was about 20 minutes to EOH airport.

While In Medellin I've visited La Isla, Fase 2, Show San Diego, Luna Lunera, Ejecutivo, Conejita. And I strolled around De Greiff and visited Mayorista puta strip. There are tons of information about Medellin in this form so I'll skip the report.

Yes my friend. It's in Cucuta. Like Tall Man says very basic bars with loud music and lots lots of Venezolana. I enjoyed myself.

Good points. I was there last Friday night. And I didn't spend a lot of time there so my report is very limited I admit. Having a car would have definitely benefited me way more. Since I only stayed a night I only got to experience Avenida 7. And it was my personal preference. Alot of guys might not have the same opinion as I did because there was alot of girls. I just didn't see alot then I liked for my preferences in my limited time.

You don't mention which one day of the week that you were there nor what time did you monger on Avenida 7, these both are important considerations. Like anywhere, even in Bogota, Mondays and Tuesdays usually have almost half of the chicas walking the streets and in the bars and out of those they are usually the more plain Janes, hehehehe.

I have spent 4 days on each of my 2 trips to Cucuta in the past month and a half and I feel that I barely scratched the surface, it takes time to understand the Eb-and-flow of an area especially a place like this. And worthy to note that I drove from Medellin to Cucuta both trips and so had the real advantage of spending many nights cruising around the city in my car and trying to understand the layout and where they congretate, other than Avenida 7.

Just my 2 pesos.

Arrived at 5:30 pm from Bogota. Here is my synopsis on my short stay:

Weather.

Coming at night had it's advantage that I didn't have to deal with day heat. The night was still warm but pleasant. The next morning there was overcast and mild weather. Heat could be an issue as mentioned by others on the forum.

Lodging.

I stayed at Hotel Internacional Casino. Cost $35 a night. Breakfast included. Looks just like pictures on any travel site. Rooms are big. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. And most importantly, it is girl friendly. But as BKKguru said be discreet. Especially during the day because it's a bunch of family and business people there. When you walk in the front doors, the front desk is to your right, security and concierge to your left. At night would probably be the best time to bring in a girl. It was empty around midnight when I brought one back.

There is a McDonald's, BodyTech, Mall with movie theater right at your door step. There is also a drugeria a couple steps to the left of hotel. A sling of restaurants beyond that.

Transportation.

Uber and Taxis are extremely cheap. From the airport was the most expensive at like 9 k one way. Uber was sparse in the morning but taxis are everywhere.

Safety.

I felt completely safe walking the streets late at night. I didn't feel a threat at all. If seemed like a quiet little city. But just like anywhere you should be cautious.

Chicas.

I only ventured to Avenida 7. As reported there were 100's of girls on this strip. Majority of those numbers are street girls. Some look so beware. There are open bars and a few clubs sprinkled in between. The girls in the clubs (the names of the clubs I didn't really pay attention to) had less girls in them then on the street. I would say you may find one or two slightly better than on street and that's not saying much. I would rate the girls as mediocre in looks as a whole. I wasn't too impressed with anything I saw. Street prices were 20-25 k for 30 minutes. Club prices were 35-40 k for 30 minutes. TLN was 100-120 k.

Recommendation.

I only stayed a night but I planned to stay for two. There was just too much hotness in Bogota for me to stay in comparison which was in seecuta. Would I return? Not sure, probably not. Would I recommend? Well, depends. Being a foreigner here will get you alot of attention. The girl I posted below as well as others were all over me and were trying to do everything to get me to chose them. The girls were extremely friendly and if you like girlfriend experience you might be in luck. All in all it was worth the adventure to see a new city briefly.

She was one of the better looking ones. She has a pretty face and big breast but also had somewhat of a belly from giving birth that was not all that appealing. She was a very sweet girl though and honestly there weren't many that looked like her there.

There definitely was hundred of girls to choose from. Most of them in my humble opinion was not worth it or looked too young for me to even attempt anything. I only planned to stay for a weekend so my time was limited to that. Once I experienced it for a night, I decided to go back to Bogotá because I like the prospect there better. Bogotá has much hotter women in my opinion for everyone's taste. I didn't get that in seeúcuta from the limited time I was there. Actually two of the girls I was with were Venezuelan that lived in seeúcuta. And they were hotter than anything I seen there by far.

The city seemed safe as a whole. I walked or Uber everywhere and never felt any threat. Avenida 7 is a very dark street besides the faint street light and lights from the bars and clubs. There is a heavy police presence. I honestly blend in there because I am of a dark hue and look younger than my age. But even if you don't look like that, I don't believe any one will bother you but females trying to get your attention because you will be the only gringo there. The girl in the picture literally put her hand over my phone and asked my why am I not paying attention to her. And alot of girls showed a lot of attention. For me, it just wasn't worth it to stay longer. But you might have a different experience. I also wasn't successful of setting up dates with tinder / Latin American Cupid girls there. That's usually a staple of my day time non mongering action. So that also played a role. Definitely try it out see how you like it though.

Why not stop there to check it out on the way back then? Quite a big city it seems, must be a lot of talent there!

Pereira and Armenia are pretty much the same place. It is less than an hour drive between them. To go to Parque del Cafe you can fly into either one.

I am not suggesting you visit or not visit.
However, just want to mention you can visit Cucuta without ever going near the Simon Bolivar bridge. There is NO reason to go near this bridge.
Since this is the actual border crossing, the scene is chaotic. The corrupt guards on the Venezuela side dictate the Agenda.

For reference, Hotel Bolivar is 9 Kms from the bridge. Hotel Mary is more than 12 Kms from the bridge.

You may want to keep tabs on the daily headlines coming out of Venezuela. Things have reached a Climax with protests and gun battles in different parts of the country.
More Venezuelans are crossing the Simon Bolivar bridge to take temporary shelter in Cucuta.

They say the shots came from under the bridge from smugglers area. No reason to travel there. If you are a risk taker there are places in the world that are much more fucked up. If you want to save on some pesos, ask yourself how much would you pay to get out of the trouble in case it happens. If you want venecas, there are plenty in Bogota.

Last night I was in Chicago Club, Tijuana, and started chatting with a chica from Venezuela. I told her I would be traveling to Cucuta this summer.

She freaked out and told me it is too dangerous for anyone to travel there. She just received a video earlier in the day and showed it to me.

It looked like in was taken on the Simon Bridge with tons of people. Several gun shots were fired and everyone, included children were ducking for safety.

And thoughts?

TomJackin, like others have said you can stay clear of the international la puente, I drove over to the crossing area and parked my car and walked it on my both visits to Cucuta in the past month. Yep it's a history in the making kind of thing but don't let this news distract you.

BTW, thanks again for your help with the Cali driver, am already getting PM from other mongers wanting to visit Cali so it's all good.

And the memories that I have when you mentioned CC in TJ, that was my weekend get away from about 1998 through 2004, have so many great memories and fun times but those were the days I had no problem with 2 to 4 chicas in a day and I had a truck load of disposable income, those days are long gone, hehehehe
