Airport.

Report of my recent trip to Cucuta. I flew from Bogota and it took less than an hour. As soon as I stepped outside the aircraft I felt the immense heat and humidity. Tappsi is not available in Cucuta, Uber is but there are very very few Uber drivers. I waited a long time for an Uber and he had to come all the way across town to pick me up. There are yellow taxi cabs out in front of the terminal one could use. I only used street taxi once going back to the airport (my hotel called the taxi for me) and I was over charged.

Stayed at Hotel Mary, which is literally minutes by foot from all the prostitutes on Avienda 7. No need to book online prior to arrival as they have lots of rooms and you will pay less. I got a basic room with AC and TV for two person without breakfast for COP 75 K a night. With breakfast I think is COP 87 K. The room I stayed in was outdated. There is no safe and the shower is cold. However, the AC runs very cold which is good since it will start to get hot as early as around 9 am. Hotel Mary is definitely chica friendly. The first chica you bring is free but if you bring 2 chicas at the same time, you have to pay COP 10 K for the second chica. They require all chicas to have a document to register them in. I think Hotel Mary is OK if its your first time in Cucuta. The chicas are more willing to come to the hotel since its so close.
