True enough, haven't seen a gringo in there yet or at any other local club for that matter and I've been hanging out in the area for almost 8 years.

I just got back and actually saw four gringos in the city, that's a record for me and two were gringas, that blew my mind. I was standing outside of my apartment waiting for a taxi and two women walked by speaking english to one another, I couldn't believe it.

Others have reported on the centro strip clubs in Manizales, and the ones by the bull ring. By far the nicest, however, is Sabadell. This is in the same area as the bull-ring area clubs but a few kilometers further out of town on the highway to Pereira. It's by far the nicest installation and the girls seem to be the hottest. If you are passing through Medellin and you're looking for something approximating the nicer clubs in Medellin, this is it. Taxi from town should run about 10k, entrance is 10k with 5k consumnible. Don't really remember drink prices, somewhat inflated, but cheaper than Fase II or La Isla as I remember by a good bit. On-stage shows tend to not be great but girls have been fairly friendly when I've been there and willing to sit, chat, or dance with you if you're giving htem shots out of your bottle. Price to take a girl downstairs to a room seemed to be 120-150k for the hour, and quality of girl was very good when I was there.

Any news on casas, strip joints any list or info like in Cali, Bogota, or Medellin lists. I'm sure its very good but if I hate going to places without any intel.

For the tourists out there, San Agustin only has chicas on Saturday afternoons / nights. From Parque Central on the supermarket side, go down the hill behind the church for two blocks and in the third block the chicas work out of a house on the right. You will know it by the loud music. The only alternative is pitalito (40 KM away) a 50K taxi ride each way.

San Agustin archeological site is splendid BTW.

No action in San Andres near tierradentro.

BTW, its always funny to see Colombians reactions when I ask for negocios de mujeres (surprise, you are looking for prostitutes!). I look completely like a gringo but speak spanish. Never had any issues.

There are a few places in popayan near each other. I think they are on carrera 17 straight southwest from the bus terminal (down the main avenue a few km). They have expensive and cheap places next door to each other there. I think there are three or four places. I visited two. There is a very expensive place called oro negro (black gold). The place looks decent inside but the girls were normalish and wanted 80K! In frigin popayan! So I said umm yea bye. Next door you have your typical dim lit cheap place. Lower quality and high mileage chicas but 30k. Much better price for a quickie! The room was extremely basic but hey I came. Girl was nice and friendly and at the end she pulled out a tip jar with a coin hole in it! Hahaha coin tips in Colombia. Fantastic! I resisted the temptation to tip her in bills and put perhaps 700 in the jar.

Before going out in Popayan I did search the forum for any information and found none. In general, every decent sized city in Colombia will have chicas, just ask a taxi driver. Smaller places like farming villages only have chicas on Saturday nights. You have to ask.

Anyone been to bars etc. In these areas? Looking for the cheap, not expensive spinners or overpriced prepagos. Old dim lit bars and high mileage chicas are okay with me. Any info on north of Bucaramanga finding a puddle jumper or gooney bird to Barranqiallas? Info appreciated.

I've been to Pereira a few times usually to go to the hot spring spas in Santa Rosa de Cabral. There's a little action in Pereira. Parque Bolivar. Parque Le Libertad and the blocks around there. This is REAL low end action and somewhat dangerous. And my favorite: Dona Tere, Cra. 6, near Calle 24. Its a loud bar with usually about 10 chicas for your service. Lots of hard drinking Colombian dudes there. 3 rooms in the back.

Late at night theres chicas roaming around the downtown area. Try Hotel Soratama.

I went to Pereira for a couple of days to visit an amiga. The hot springs is definately a must see. I googled for stripclubs and ended up at Star Club. Quality was ok. It was a Monday night so if you get a bottle a girl will come to your table and give you a lapdance.

Usually, I don't recommend looking for streetwalkers especially if you are new to an area. Usually, they are not in a nice neighborhood.
