So the other day with another member of this board we created an SAS company in Ecuador it is a type of Company (sociedad por acciones simplificadas) or SAS for short. How did you get robbed as Las Cucardas? It's a strip club type place with a lot of management. Did the girl steal money from your wallet?

I have been to MDE, Lima and GYE more times than I can recall. In MDE I was robbed twice at knife point {once by a taxi driver } Also in Mayorista I had stuff stolen out of my room by a TLN Chica.

In Lima I was robbed by a Chica at Las Cucardas. One time in GYE I was pick pocketed for a small amount of goods. That was my only problem in GYE. I find that to me all these Country's are the same as far as getting ripped off. If you look at Doom's posts the guy he talks about who he calls Gringo Loco is me. Now I must say that having Doom as a Wing made me feel very safe in GYE.

Speaking of Taxi drivers I have found that the drivers in MDE are the worst as far as over charging, then Lima. In GYE I had very little problems with Taxi drivers.

This is what I am talking about the last 2 weeks there have been 2 dead Americans because of "scopolamine" in Colombia Medellin by people in order to drug them and rob them, well these humans are not exactly chemical engineers so the doses are off and sometimes people die. Cane, I posted the Gente Bonita video to show people on this board what happened last March. I think they were targeted, because they didn't pay money. Who's to say that can't happen at the other Chongo places? Gente Bonita had a metal detector and security outside. I was patted down for weapons and showed my passport. That doesn't stop people from coming in with machine guns shooting up the place as you can see in the video if they want to. I don't see this happening in other monger locations, Thailand, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and etc.

That's the truth my friend. If it can happen once, then it certainly can happen again. And that was in Quito. The violence and potential for more is even higher in Guayaquil if you ask me. Let's hope nothing happens (but the threats and attacks on the politicians and authorities continue):

This is the kind of logic I have come to expect from people in modern Western culture, by this logic the most dangerous place on planet Earth is Tijuana.

I just saw a report on what's going on in Ecuador. It showed a police station in Guayaquil with sandbags piled up all over the place, even to cover up the windows. That's not normal. Now, they recognize the seriousness of the situation. So, why won't you? Look, nobody is saying that you can't go outside or that mongers will somehow be targeted. But that's not required. All you have to do is be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Like maybe in one of those puta bars with the armed cops standing around and something goes down. And you get hit in the crossfire. That's all it takes. And interesting that you bring up Tijuana because that's the one other popular place in the world I wouldn't be going to in order to monger right now. I wasn't about to go to Tijuana or Guayaquil looking for some pussy anyway. And what's happening now reduces the chances of that to zero for the moment. There have always been far superior destinations to visit, even before the heightened threats of violence in both places.

And FYI, I'm not somebody who just stays at home hiding out due to my "Western culture" fear as you would put it. No, you see I've been to over 50 countries on five continents my friend (some in active conflict zones so I know what danger looks like), and I'm hungry for more. And I'm able to do more because I don't travel and do things like hang out in places where the crooks are so brazen that they're literally killing high profile (and not so high profile) politicians in broad daylight (requiring the use of bullet proof vests) and hanging their sliced up enemies from bridges to send a menacing message. Ecuador is in the crosshairs of the two biggest cocaine producers in the Americas, Colombia, and Peru, and its dollarized economy is attractive to crooks looking to launder money. I know you don't want to over dramatize the situation, but don't underplay it either. This is a dangerous time for Ecuador which isn't what it was even 10 years ago. Which way is it going to go? We shall see. For the sake of the people who live there, I hope the authorities can tamp down on those thugs and run them out of the country. But, it won't be easy. Ask Colombia.

If people cannot find it in themselves to reach down their intestinal fortitude and somehow have fun and achieve their goals the most polite suggestion I can make is to stay home, there is nothing more that can be said on that topic.
