Like Surfer, I've heard nothing but bad things about GYE as well. And this wasn't just Quiteños, this was even people from GYE that had moved to Quito to get away from there! I know it's suppose to be the most dangerous city in Ecuador, but I've heard it's one of the most dangerous cities in all of South America! How the hell is that even possible? More dangerous than Rio? More dangerous than FARC-controlled villages in Colombia? I almost made a weekend trip down there just to see it for myself lol.
Will you be doing any mongering while you're there Artisttyp, or just meeting your amiga? Would be interested in hearing about the action in GYE, this board really has very little info.
Well, let me end this post on a high note; the hottest (and sluttiest) women I met in Quito were from GYE; they were the only girls that knew how to give a proper BJ. So have a good time!

Posts: 1194Not to bash the place, But I am VERY curious what "great things" you heard about Guayaquil. Only redeeming feature I found was that the airport is a hell of a lot closer to the coast than Quito! I agree the chicas are better than in Quito but that is not reason enough IMHO to spend more time in GYE. Too hot, too dirty and too dangerous as anything but a way station on the way to the coast.

Posts: 1194the Best Western right downtown is fine (about $40), BUT it is NOT a city where walking around at night is advcised (the Hotel Guard wears a bulletproof vest.). In fact, GYE is one of the sketchiest cities I have EVER visited (makes Colombian cities feel safe) and I would NOT want to be wandering around looking for a hotel, that is for sure! I only stayed one night because I had an early flight. Salinas is MUCH more pleasant IMHO.

Im planning a trip to ecuador very shortly and have tons of hotel info on quito but very few on guayaquil.
My usual websites are failing me all I get are american chains and places out of my price range $40 per night maybe $50 if its a deal.
Is there a certain zona where more affordable hotels can be found and I can just show up? Im looking at coming down in the next two weeks.
Thanks.

I am glad to report that the Strip club which was located in "La Garzota"
which was previously named Juniors is now named Excalibur and has reopened under new ownership.
Hope you all check it out and make a report on it since I am semi-retired to a regular chica I have been banging lately.
Peace out.

It seems that this forum has been somewhat inactive. Gonna wake it up again.
For you guys considering the possibility of getting laid in Calle 18 (commonly referred to by locals as "La 18") you'd better forget it. It's definitely not a place for tourists. A year ago or so the local authorities fenced the place and left it with just one entrance (apparently to make it safer). Inside you can see policemen walking around very frequently.
La 18 is basically a block full of places where we can do our business. You'll see some of them are "formal" strip clubs, whereas the others are just rooms rented by independent *****s. In spite of the policemen, outside the fence anything can happen. You'd better not go there. It's located in the southwestern part of the city, which is usually called "El Suburbio," a huge low-class neighborhood. The blocks surrounding it are especially dangerous.
If you want P4P, go to a decent club. La Isla del Tesoro, El Imperio, El Gato (these two are located in Duran) are all good options.

First of all, thanks for the information about calle 18 and night clubs. However, I still have some doubts. If I did not misunderstood, calle 18 is a place to go on daylight?? And more important. Where is located?? I was looking for some Guayaquil maps (I saw one in the forum), but calle 18 does not appear.
Also, if any of you knows a nice lady with a nice butt, please let me know.. I will appreciate that information
Thanks

I really hat to put people down for taking up bandwith, so I will refrain from flaming and say the fallowing next time somebody wants to ask a question about calle 18 or strip clubs you should refer to "Reports of Distinction" thread and then ask a usefull question nobody has asked so here it goes.

Went to a hole by the Capwell Stadium about 2 blocks from it,there is a strip club called "Vikingo" with a viking statue up front and all it is a really sleazy place I saw girls picking up 50 cent piece from the stage the girls were about a 5 or less but the were charging like 8 bucks so who can complain.
For those of you who are lost just take a cab over to the stadium and ask around for the "Vikingo" or ask the taxi driver to take you there peace out

Hi guys:
I had some experiences in Gye some time ago. I was in "Isla del Tesoro" and it was fine, beautiful ladies, but a little expensive. However, seems to be a good place to go if you look for a low risk place (I am not saying the there is no risk, but since is an expensive place for the local standards.)
I was reviewing the posts in the forum and I have some questions for the experts, since I will be visit Gye in some weeks. Here they go:
How safe is Salome Night Club? At what hour is better to go in working days? I mean, an hour with few clients and good number of girls.
This "calle 18" where is located? It is safe to go for a foreigner? My first language is Spanish, so that is not a problem. Again, what is the best hour in terms of the trade-off safety and supply?
Of good is "Odissea Romana", compared with "isla del tesoro"?
Finally, I am looking for a nice girl for anal sex. I anybody knows the data of a woman with nice body. I mean, nice ass. And who do this type of job, I will appreciate the information.
Well guys, have fun and take care

I'm getting in GYE for a couple nights next week end.
Reading from the thread it seems like there are not too many strip clubs still open and that it can also be dangerous to hang out.
Nevertheless I'd like to know what strip clubs are still open and which one you would recommend if any.
Thanks a lot
