Sounds like they extended their hours.

Try Jungla (Jungle). It's at Pinta y Juan Leon Mera. It's a newer place owned by the same people as NightKat. I like it there. It's nice inside. They open around 7pm (sometimes earlier). Like most places, if you get there before 10-11pm there's not usually a whole lot going on. This city gets started late.

cafe rojo closing time is 10pm

to Dolo9191, I am also a brother. I have been in Ecuador for almost two weeks and had no problems whatsoever. But I digress, I was in Quito more than a week ago on a week day. I cant remember the name of the club for the life of me. The club was better than I expected. The cover was $2 and included a beer. There were about 10 chicks in there and 8 or so mongers. They range between a 2 to a solid 7. There was a black girl there that did a exceptional set. She worked the pole better that I have ever seen in my life and I don't like to brag, but that means a lot coming from a strip club connoisseur such as myself. Anyways, I ended up with this provider named Cielos. she was the solid 7. she told me that Cafe Rojo has almost 100 girls and that it closes early because they open like at 12 pm. Cielos was petite, flat stomach, nice ass and bite size breast. it was $20 bucks until I nut. She was very mechanical and was all about her business. She refused to give head and didn't want to take her top off. The only good thing about her was that she did had a super tight pussy so no complains from me. One thing to add. she refused to let me take pictures even after i offered a $20 tip. weird huh?

This might be too late, but you can be like me and my buddies and exit the airport with your bags, and make a beeline for the house with the redlight across the street (Cafe Rojo). Shamelessly done it many a time as soon as I arrived. Why waste time, the rush, and location?

Slide the black security guard $5, and rest assured on your luggage. It WILL be secured until you leave. They lock it up in a secured room.

As for other options on a Monday night, you're gonna have to read the recent forum and take chances exploring some of the recommended venues. You might get lucky. My Monday night experiences in Quito weren't worth reporting. Try La Guajira, Medellin Masajes, VIP Paradise, Club 122, or Nightkats.

If not, what would be my best second option for a club that stays open later?

Also, not finding much info here about vitamin v or c? Easily available? Price?

Also, am considering a early session Tues. Say before 1 P.M. Best choices?

Significant other arrives after that and I'll be out of business.

    Black guys in Ecuador

An important word or phrase I learned from some Black friends many moons ago is "to pass" or "passing" in US culture. I as a Pink-American , there is no way in hell that can pass for anything but being of North European extraction for the most part. Some lighter skinned Blacks as we know can "pass" in the USA as being White. I had spoken with some Ecuadorans on the subject as to who is a gringo in their country. Curiously, they agreed that a gringo was anyone from the USA, Canada, or Europe and would include Blacks, Asians, and other non-Whites. I'm sure that if I spoke to more of the nationals about it, there would be a greater variety of definitions. I believe that most Black people from anywhere in the world can pass for being Afro-Ecuadoran at first glance. I can't. For this reason, I wasn't as adventurous as Tungurahura even though it was more my nature to explore as he did (i.e. for sex). Tung was astute to his appearance as being able to pass in Ecuador as a local at first glance. As long as he didn't speak, he would arouse less suspicion that he was a foreigner. Many of the assaults and robberies in the Gringolandia area may be by Afro-Ecuadorans, but certainly not exclusively so. The best defense when adventuring around there or other questionable parts is to learn some of the language, carry some pepper spray, and be astute to the areas which you will be walking about, esp. at night.

My favorites spots are Cafe Rojo, 122, DOll HOuse, 515, Extasis, Zulu Club Privado and 4033. During my visits to these places, I fall in love with some of the girls I banged (I'm human). As I didn't want problems and my spanish is not 100% perfect I didn't proceed in many cases. However, in 4033 (north) I have met a girl very hot and nice. Last week I was (very) drunk and told her that I like her. She responds to me with a kiss saying that she has the same feeling for me. I know what she do for a living. I have no problems with that. Anyone had an experience like that? Do you think that could be dangerous to date an ecuadorian (or latinoamerican) pro?
This subject has been discussed by a number of people in different forums here - and it's always been controversial. Many have had good experiences (like me, I am married to an Ecuatorian/Colombian) and others have not. It's probably as much about the luck of the draw, the priorities of the girl and yourself, and how long she's been a pro.

I can tell you from personal experience that getting involved on an intimate level with a local can be very complicated. Especially if you don't speak spanish fairly well.

Recently, with the changes to the visa rules, it's even more complex now. If you've been here since June, you'll start running into the same situation as many others here: trying to figure out how to stay longer. It's not easy anymore. I'm not sure I'd want to start a new relationship unless I knew I'd be around a long time for sure (and legally could). Ecuador has made wanting to live here very difficult, time consuming and expensive.

From my perspective (also black American), don't sweat the small stuff. I hope your Spanish is up to par.

Just go and enjoy yourself. Be more afraid of the killer altitude in Quito than discrimination, esp. once people figure out you're not local. It is what it is, not your issue. You're on vacation.

No bragging, just sharing experience, however, I managed to bang 3 of the hotel receptionists on separate trips down there. Each within hours of meeting them. I've gone to a couple of normal discos in Mariscal on the wkds, and made contacts with normal chicks. I was only there for a few days, so I chose not to waste time romancing chicks and just hit the pro spots instead. I wouldn't worry about discrimination with chicks. If you look presentable, have a friendly personality, and can communicate in Spanish, generally you'll be fine. You might run into someone not as open-minded, ignore her and move on. Want to [CodeWord140] off a regular Ecuadorian chick? Ignore her and start up with a Colombian chick. They hate it. LOL!!!

Crime is truly an issue, and you should minimize any valuables on your person, as well as flashy cell phones and iPods. I do think skin color will be to your benefit at night, as what appeared to be shady folks generally decided to overlook me several times for other easier targets. And I know I don't blend in as a local. Later in the evening, overheard chatter of someone else getting robbed. Others may have different experiences, but these have been mine. Be smart, take precautions, but don't get paranoid over it.

Re: 817 Espectador. I was one of the first folks (not the first) to report on that place. It's nothing to plan your trip around, nor make as a centerpiece for your trip. It's a functional, no full service massage spot. It's basically only a storefront place, kinda like a garage, with only a "lounge" area, and 3 wall-separated, massage booths. Generally, only 2-3 masseuses on site. It's cheap ($10 for an hour massage incl. blow job or hand job and nude touching, and a tip of $5 only) and a nice way to start off a day. They are closed on Sundays, so I got the cell phone for one of the masseuses. She'd come to my hotel early Sunday for more service, same price, same tip, but I'd kick in for the r/t taxi.

Read Tung's posts about his legendary sexcapades in Quito. Highly recommended. You can check out my older Quito posts regarding non-sex things to do and hotels.

Quito is truly a city where it can all be had on the cheap. Buses are like 25-50 cents. Food is cheap, but then there's the tax. Pro spots.....very cheap. Hotels also.

    Happy mongering!!!

From all the posts you guys really wet my appetite for Quito. It seems like this is one of the best travel destinations. I was doing a little research and came across this site that lists Quito hotels (a little over 40 of them) and figured this may help other newbies or anyone who wants possibly try a new hotel. http://www.inquito.com/hotels. Htm (I only read about 70% of the posts so hopefully this is new info. I did not see the link on any of the previous posts I read) I would suggest also utilizing the maps provided in Tungurahua posts to get a good idea of the location of the hotel vs the chongos your interested in. This site has email, phone numbers and addresses for all the hotels. Hopefully this will save some time for fellow mongers. I do have 2 quick questions. I understand most of you guys feeling on newbies and and asking questions and I have read about 70% of the posts and didn't quite see these addressed. Thanks in advance for any help you could provide.

    1. I love massage parlors and wanted to know if anyone has been to 817 El Espectador recently and if it is still open. I believe the last update was in May. This would be a big part of my trip (plan on spending 50-60% of my time there) and may be a deal breaker if it isn't thus the only reason I am asking.

    2. From most of the posts I have read the black guys have been described as "shady characters and/or theives in Quito" did anyone see any black mongers there or know of any that have went with positive results. Just want to make sure that I won't have any problems with the girls being a young black american.

Again thanking you all for all the information found on these boards and without you guys I wouldn't be able to reach a tenth of the full mongering potential in these countries. Thanks also for any help to my 2 questions that anyone can provide and if not I understand also as I am a newbie. Thanks for at least reading and hope the link helps.

    Hotel Update

I just went back and looked at the board and noticed the link I posted was moved and not working properly. So instead of listing another link I listed all the hotels below. Hopefully it will be easier to find this way.

P.S - Thanks for the advice from the previous post on question 2. I will definitely update all on my findings. Just trying to see if anyone as been to 817 within the last 2 months (to ensure its still open) before I book a flight.

Sorry guys but I had to delete all the email addresses of the hotels to get this posted. From the other contact info you should be able to google it or call and get whatever info you need. Enjoy.

    Dolo,

You will find a lot of black guys at the chongos in Quito. But mostly out front working - taking money, giving out beers or checking you out prior to entering.

I don't think you will have much of a problem with the chicas. Just act cool and bring money. Many of girls are dark-skinned from the coast. Really all shades of womanhood - something for everyone.

But more importantly, if you do come here - post your experiences and tell us how you were treated. It would certainly give us a different point of view.

As to 817, you can read my posts from last Sept-Oct. Note that you will NOT get FS at this place. Only HJ/BJ/Russian happy ending. But I loved the place . . .

    Good Luck, -P

Yeah I hate to admit this about Ecuador but yes, a black person is seen badly here but only the ones that look like locals if that makes sense. Yes in this way ecuadorians can be quite racist.

I suggest in your case to look as much as an american as possible, that should keep you on good graces with the locals, in your case trying to blend in would be a mistake.

I doubt you'll have problems in answer to your second question as long as your moneys good. I took a black friend of mine with me to Cafe Rojo and he did'nt have any problems. Granted, he was from Brazil and speaks fluent spanish.

Some friendly advice, be respectful and curteous to the girls when making your transactions and you'll be in good shape. Kindness always gave me great experiences every time.
