    Murillo 122

Has anyone gone to Club 122 since January? As I read on internet, some thieves entered and stole the cashier of the place.

Not Citibank, Banco de Pinchinca, Banco Pacifico, etc.

Ecuadorian banks it has happend 4 times to my boss so far, and I've heard from other people that it's happened to them. When questioned, the bank manager explained that's what they have to do. It's retarded, but what do you expect when there's so much governmental corruption and also that their entire economy collasped and they have to use the US dollar as the official currency. The sucre is long gone now.

Another problem with the ATM machines is that sometimes the banks will double dip and take out twice as much as you withdraw. That hasnt happend to me, but I've only used an ATM here twice in almost 2 years.

That's why I never bothered to get a local bank account down here. I dont like the idea of people messing with my money.

Good luck on the visa, PM me if you have questions, I've had to go through the process for a work visa and a transient visa and it's a pain in the ass to deal with.

    Found apartment

My GFE found an apartment in Las Casas area in Quito. I rented it the other day. 3 bedroom/2 bath/private parking/security/gated/etc. $300 a month unfurnished. Looked at a number of places in Quito and it was difficult at best and very expensive. I went out and bought the furniture for this place. I am planning on living here for good. They accepted my GFE's cedula without references (everyone else wanted at least references).

If you dont absolutely need to stay in Quito, try cumbaya or tumbaco. Cumbaya is about 15 minutes from Quito by bus and a nicer area to live in. Seems to be more foreigners around here so you might have better luck.

The downside of Cumbaya is if you dont have a car you have to use the bus or pay a taxi. The last bus from Quito leaves Rio Coca around 9:45pm. Taxis run from $8-$12 at night from Quito.

The upside is you can get pretty much everything without having to travel all over the place. For example, supermaxi, KFC, MickeyDs, lots of restraunts, Fybecca, etc are all very close together on the main drag (interoceanica) and down in the central square. The weather is generally better here than Quito also.

Be careful with the banks, they are a real pain in the ass to deal with. If you open an account and have money missing dont be surprised, the banks will take money out of accounts to pay other accounts checks if they are short on cash.

I thought I had a place the other day but the lawyer of the owner killed the deal. There are very few furnished apartments and those here are very expensive ($500-2000+ a month).

Banks are same deal. Visa required. I was hoping they were easier like CR or DR but no luck.

Working on getting a Visa. It's supposed to take about a month on the fast track.

That's interesting, are you looking at staying here for a long time? I'm not sure if you have looked at other places or not, but for example I had two australian friends of mine, they ended up getting a suite at one of these hotels in cuenca, nothing too fancy.

They ended up paying $200/month, it was a two bedroom suite with 4 beds and fully furnished, not a bad deal at all. And no visa requirements.

    Avoid Hostal Olimpia in Quito

I was staying at Hostal Olimpia in Quito (Reina Victoria y Jose Calama) until today. For about the 3rd or 4th time they told me and my GFE when leaving to grab lunch that they had given away my room. I've spoken to the owner (Doctor) and the manager numerous times with numerous problems this time. I stayed there in the past with no problems. It's gone down the toobs.

Toilets don't work anymore. Their idea of a solution is to throw all toilet paper used in the basket.

I moved out today. The lady said it was a communication error (AGAIN) but I got tired of dealing with them. Was something daily.

Need a new place to stay.

    Gotta love Quito.

I brought 40 cans with me when I came back and am down to 2 now lol. I wont be back to civiliaztion til May.
My ticket is for the 23rd of next month but I'll have to extend my trip somehow. Buy a one-way ticket or something. I think I found an apartment finally. Nice american style place. All these places want a year+ contract plus 2 months deposit.

    Tungurahua...................in your steps!!

I can't give up Rio just yet, but I will be following in your footsteps. I'm making a quick 3 day trip to Quito on my way back to Rio. While I'm sure that's not enough time, I'm just trying a little taste. I figure with all your printed reports and maps, I can't go wrong. It'll be just like a trip into Centro for an afternoon of relaxation. Any advice, preach on.............

    Quito update

Just wanted to post a quick report from this last week:

Club 122: Still the best bang for your buck (or should that be "best bang for your penny"?). A few girls from last year are still there (dancer Pamela, Butterface, Joanna, Mariah Carey look-alike, etc) but a lot of new faces as well. Did Butterface 2 and a girl from Portoviejo with huge real tits. Note to self: need to spend more time here.

Cheers: Went here one day last week, and I was underwhelmed. For some reason, everyone in this place looks pissed off; instead of giving you a bottle of beer at the door, maybe they should give a bottle of Prozac instead. All the girls look sad, and the guys are all bored. Also, can someone get them a new CD, I´m tired of listening to "The Best of Foreigner". But then again, that's kind of an oxymoron.

I banged a 20 year old fucklet named Rubi, tall and thin, she was being uncooperative, so I ended up grudge fucking her for the full fifteen minutes. For once I was glad the condoms are so tight in this country. She agreed to a clothed, faceless pic, but when she found out I was only going to give her a dollar, she walked out of the room in a huff. Oh well, at least I got to use her pussy as a trampoline.

Cafe Rojo: Great selection as usual. Andrea, Karen, Dominique and most of the other girls from last year are still there, along with some new faces as well. Met up with ISG member Mraughh and he introduced me to some of his friends. Going to go back next week to bang the Pamela Anderson-Shakira hybrid.

VIP Paradise: Decent selection, Pamela is still there, the girl a bunch of us have posted pics of. I met two girls named Daniela, and since that's one of my favorite female names, I decided to bang them both. White Daniela from Colombia (Crypton posted a pic of her a couple years ago) and Trigueña Daniela of Ecuador. Both are recommended.

Vibración: It actually didn't suck that much. Expensive for Quito though, still $40 for 30 minutes, or $20 for 15 minutes.

Nightcat: There were maybe one or two fuckables here, very disappointing. And I had had quite a bit to drink too. Won't go back.

Also went to Askershunk 860 and Body, and 4033 in the North, but I was pretty trashed at that point, so I don't really remember if they were good or not.
