Recognizing this, I felt a lot more comfortable about additional time in Quito. I do not know how much longer I will last, but that is the beauty of travelling solo: I can be as whimsical as I want in my itinerary, answering to no one but myself.

Thanks Blastoff. I too wish the other boards were a little more structured (the Columbia boards, in particular, [CodeWord140] me off with their diluted content) and other members were a little more forthcoming with pictures. Disclaimer: prices and hours change, clubs and casas go out of business. Casas sometimes close early if no chicos are present. Some of the day casas, though open at 11am, do not get rolling till mid afternoon (2 or 3pm) when additional chicas show up. All places charge a usually small entry fee in exchange for the usual 1 beer (or rum, etc.).

At time of posting we have tried to make the info as relevant and helpful as possible. I have subdivided the casas and clubs by price because that is probably the most relevant way to sort and simplify the information. The higher priced places are, in most cases, much nicer environments; the lower priced places being lesser quality establishments. Contrary to chica expectations, however, their are some real value plays in the lower priced casas, providing one has the time to seek them out. If time -- and perhaps comfort or safety -- is of the essence the higher priced value plays (i.e., $15 and $20) are your best bet.

If you are too cheap to buy a city map (like I am), I found all these places by using the large city map located on the staircase of the Magic Bean restaurant (address: Foch No. 681 y Juan Leon Mera, by Av Amazonas). Have a good breakfast, map out your next couple casas (I take pictures of the map) and, above all, Happy mongering!

(1) Cafe Rojo, 117 Juan Holguin OE3-27 y Av. Amazonas, one block from the city airport terminal entrance. A great place to say hello to Quito! $2.50 beers. $20 chicas (20mins). Open till 10pm or so. Subjective note: From what I have seen of the chicas, Cafe Rojo is the best one of the $20 clubs in terms of chica quality.

(2) Body, 2309 6 de diciembre y La Niña. Open 9pm to 2am. Look for the neon sign shaped like a woman. Entrance leads downstairs. Entrance $3 gets 1 small beer. Chicas $20.

(3) Cocktel Bar, Pasaje Ramirez Davalos 142 entre Amazonas y 9 de Octubre (one block over from The Office). Open 7pm to 3am. Sign says $20 chicas.

(4) Guajira at 1273 Diego de Almagro (open 11am to 9pm). $2 beers. $15 chicas. This place and Cafe Rojo are run by the same people; Rojo girls do guest appearances here for $5-a-fuck less.

(5) Masajes Medillin, 110 Fernando Meneses (off La Gasca) (11am to 9pm). $2 beers (local), $4 Budweisers. $15-18 chicas (20-30mins) (with a beer included the guy always tries to round up the price to $20).

(6) VIP Paradise Women, same street as Masajes Medillin, house N23 111. It is the first house on the right as you turn onto Fernando Meneses. (presume same hours as Masajes Medillin). $3 entry and get 1 beer. $15 chicas (20-30mins).

(7) Nightcats, intersection of Amazonas y Orellana (closes at 2am or so I think). $5 entry Mon-Thurs and Saturday, $7 on Friday and get 2 beers, $3 beers thereafter (says the sign on the wall). Signs say $15 chicas ($9 for girl, $6 for room.)

(8) 557 Jose Tamaya (off Ventimilla). $2 cover gets 1 beer. $2 beers thereafter. Crypton says $20 chicas (though I am sure others on the board say $15). Closes at 9pm I think.

(9) La Galeria 200, 200 Juan Murillo (N21-132) y San Gregorio, around the corner from El Swing. Open 2pm to 2am, Monday to Saturday. I was quoted $15 chicas for 20 minutes.

Note: For short term visitors, of the cheapest $7 casas I have found Touch Me and Coyote Ugly containing the best quality chicas. But like typed earlier it really does pay to shop around for those elusive value plays.

(16) Touch Me, 10 de Agosto 4033 y Rumiipamba (11am to 9pm). Get off at Floron Metrobus stop. $7 chicas (15 mins). Beers $1.50. The doorman will ask for some identification with your first visit. Make a copy of your passport and carry it with you. He also will pat you down (he IDs and security checks everyone). After my first visit he now just waves me through without check. This place was originally a culture shock for me; but if you take the time to get used to the place you will find some serious value plays here over time.

(17) VIP 3 Star (dubbed the Coyote Ugly bar due to the writing on the small canopy on the 10 de Agosto entrance), next door to 4399 10 de Agosto (an auto-dealer shop N34-429) y Republica (Carolina Metrobus stop). $2 entry gets 1 large beer, $7 chicas. This place and La Fragata are run by the same people. The nightclub proper opens 5pm to 2 or 3am, but the Av Republica entrance has a small pub which opens before the nightclub. Some chicas are present during the early-mid afternoon.

(18) Right around the corner from the Coyoto Ugly bar is another hole in the wall pub, small sign on the outside reads "117." Proper address is 117 Pedro Bedon (0E1-29). I followed the music to a dark door. $2 entry gets 1 small beer. Never asked about chica prices (presume $7). If you like playing chess there is a partial-armed fellow here that will slaughter your ass.

(19) Cassandras, Bolivia 138, 3 or 4 doors down from El Swing, entrance OE1-38. $2 cover gets 1 beer. A guy who gave me the addy said $7 chicas. Closes at 9 or 10pm I think.

(20) Resorte Medellin, 133 Cuero y Caicedo (the Metrobus stop), off 10 de Agosto. $2 entry gets 1 beer. $7 chicas. Open till 9pm I think.

(21) Techo Rojo, Luis Cordero N217 y 10 de Agosto (just short of Versalles), look for the small red canopy over the entrance. $2 entry gets 1 small beer. $2 beers thereafter. $7 chicas. Two chicas seen here in the day were working in Coyote Ugly the next night.

(22) Kahlua, 4719 10 de Agosto (N35-77) y Manosca, stairs going into the basement of Hotel Gold, across from Extasis. Get off at Estadio Metrobus stop. $2 entry gets 1 large beer. $7 chicas. Full hours unknown; went two times mid afternoon (about 5pm) and it was open both times. I presume till 9pm or so.

(23) Eloy Alfara 45-154, about 5 blocks uphill from the Gamavision tv station. A big "154" is painted by the front gate. $2 entry gets 1 large beer. Friky00 says $7 chicas. Presume open till 9pm or so.

(24) 111 Baron de Carondelet and 10 de Agosto, right on the corner. $7 chicas. Friky00 says this place is the worst in Quito and not to go to it; seconded by Mikebox20. I went and found the place pretty decent, twice banging a hot 20 year old Columbian from Medellin.

(25) SocialJarHead says there is a casa across the street from the Tex Mex place on Reina Victoria. I have yet to look into this one.

(26) Noches de Paris, Av. PV Maldonado 1365 y Pujilli, past the C.C. Recreo shopping mall. Located in the south of Quito, take the metrobus to the last stop at the South Terminal. Note: Friky00 cautions visiting this area; I second his advice. To paraphrase him: the south of Quito feels like another city. It is dirtier, messier and with a higher crime rate. It was closed when I went to take a look, but from the outside it definitely looks like a $7 casa.

(32) Vibracion, smack in the middle of Gringolandia (Marsical Sucre). $3 entry gets 1 beer. I once negotiated $20 for 15 mins with a chica, though this price may be the exception and not the rule. Note: very nice and comfortable club but management seems to be pricing themselves out of business; as a result there are few girls present (3 when I visited). Usual quote for a chica is $40.

(33) Lastly, believe it or not, after a fanatical Easter cleanup by the cops, the streetgirls are finally coming back! Between Amazonas and JL Mera (they may take you to a nearby Lafayette hotel, $5 room for 20 to 30 minutes). Chica price subject to negotiation. Initial quotes are usually between $20 and $40; from there it is up to your bargaining power (and the degree of your sobriety).

Suspect it is far in the north of Quito. The card reads "Recibimos hasta 100 senoritas por local." Is that what I think it is?! 100 chicas present?! I am unable to classify as I do not know the chica prices. Club open from 9pm to 2am.
