There's not too much information lately about the action in Quito so I thought I would give a trip report. There are chongos and action all over town. I limited myself to the central part of the city and did not go into the north or to the south. Many taxi drivers told me about how plentiful the chongos are in the south, but also that things can be dangerous in that area. There was enough to keep me busy just in the central area.

The main tourist gathering point is Plaza Foch. About a block to the south is a place called Vibracióand. At Wilson 248. There is some construction going on around there, so step gingerly. It cost three dollars to get in, and that includes a beer. I went there early, about 6 PM, and there were only about five girls there and I was the only guy. No pushy waiters or girls begging you to buy them ficha drinks. There was only one girl that was attractive to me there and we talked for a while while I sipped my beer. It cost $20 to take her up to the room for 20 minutes. She gave real good GFE, so I was quite satisfied. When we came out there were several more men there and several more girls too, some of them fairly nice looking. Credit cards accepted.

The next place I visited was primetime Friday night at about 8 PM, Cafe Rojo. This place is fairly well known, and it is located by the entrance to the old airport. On Calle Holguin, near the corner of Rio Amazonas. The cover charge was three dollars and that did not include a drink. A beer was three dollars more. Since it was prime time the place was loaded with men, perhaps about 75 of them. There were about 15 or 20 girls. Everybody was just standing around looking at each other. None of the men were talking to any of the women, nobody was pressuring anybody to buy a beer, just people standing around the walls looking at each other. One of the girls did a pretty mild striptease dance. The quality of the girls however was fairly pleasing to the eye. Ranging from 5-8. It was hard to find a place to stand, the place was so crowded, and I ended up talking to the girl that was sitting there by where I squeezed in. I didn't really like the place all that much because of the misproportion of males to females. But the girl was nice, and I fichaed her for $20 for 20 minutes and was good GFE. She was one of those girls that looked even better with her clothes off then with her clothes on. Coming out of the room, I began to figure out how the chongo thing operates. I took a seat in the back, while I was relaxing and recovering from the previous tryst. Many of the men had left and the proportion of girls was much higher by this time, and some of them were real stunners. So I just sat there back to the wall looking at the girls in front of me from behind, and enjoying the view. Eventually the ones I was interested would make eye contact with me, and I picked one out, told her what I wanted, she agreed, and I paid with my credit card and up we went for a most enjoyable experience. The rooms were very clean, but one thing I did not like was the fact that they all had very dim red lights. I like to see what I'm getting into, and it was pretty much impossible to do that with the lighting.

Both of the places I mentioned are geared towards the evening. Their hours are about 4 PM till about 2 AM. I can do it in the daytime too, and I was looking for something even less costly, so my next two adventures were during the daytime and they did not disappoint.

The first was a place called Swing. The address is 110 Bolivia. Right at the corner of 10 de Agosto. I arrived there at 1 PM. I was looking for somewhere else, but I happened to stumble upon this place by chance. I think that can happen a lot in Quito. You walk down the street, see a guy by a door, hear loud music upstairs, and bingo. There was a two dollar entrance fee which included the beer. There were about 20 girls there. Not so many guys. They were showing porn movies on the wall. As typical, everybody was just standing around looking at each other. No pressure to buy drinks for myself or for the girls. The girls ranged from about 4-6. It was $10 for a ficha to take the girl in the room for about 15 minutes. The rooms were filthy, same sheets over and over again being used. The first girl was alright. I forgot to tell her exactly what it is that I wanted. So she put too many rules on me. I won't forget to do that anymore. But the second girl was the proverbial diamond in the rough. And even though the room was filthy, the experience was awesome. After washing my hands four or five times, I went around the corner, and on 10 de Agosto, right there a really good seafood restaurant.

The next day, very nearby the previous place, again at about 1:00 PM, I found Blush. Located at Juan Murillo 122, near San Gregorio. Entrance fee was $2. 50, which included the beer. It was the same MO as the previous place, but it was packed with girls. Ranging from 4-8. 5. There was a lame striptease act. Everyone just standing around looking at each other. I had to move around quite a bit to see everything the place had to offer. There were some real jewels. And only $10 to ficha the girls. My first one was a real beauty from Guayaquil. 19 years old, tall, slender, perfect body in every way, lovely face. I had to promise her a five dollar tip, in order to get her to agree to my entire menu. But it was more than worth every penny. And guess what, the lights were bright, so I could see what I was getting into, and the rooms were immaculately clean. Two more very pleasant surprises from this place. During my recovery time before round two, there was no pressure for any drinks, and I just moved around looking for my next delight. There were several to choose from. When the time was right, I found her, did her, in a bright clean room, washed up and got out of there.

The hours of the daytime chongos are 10 am to 9 pm. I'm sure there are hundreds of these kind of places of all different qualities and prices all over the city. Quito is not the boring place you would think, by reading this forum.

Not sure how long I'll be in Quito. Somewhere between a few months and forever. For now, I'm living in the Centro Historico, just off La Ronda.

Locals are probably well familiar with this, but I just thought I would pass on my first sighting of street action, observed in walking about yesterday and today: There are several girls working Rocafuerte between Guayaquil and Venezuela, near the Santo Domingo Trolebus station. If I were interested (I haven't seen any that were all that great) , am I safe in assuming that they have nearby short-time hotels?

I am in Quito for a night on the January 25th. Let me know if you are up for a night out.

Regarding girl friendly hotels, I posted on this topic back in June. Here is a summary:

Any real hotel, whether or not high end, is girl friendly. Remember, it's legal, and businessmen with money like to bring hookers back to their rooms. The only issue is that the chica has to check in at the front desk, show her I'd, and get out by a certain hour or you will be charged a fee for a second guest (which really just means a second breakfast, so like around $20). Don't worry about it, there will be no record of her name or anything like that on your bill. Just March her up to reception with her cedula, don't be embarrassed, and then take her right upstairs. Easy. Have fun!

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention: Any chica who gets in without showing her I'd has more incentive to rip you off (or worse). Why? Nobody knows she's there. You get a dose of scopolamine or just fall asleep naturally, and then you wake up and all your stuff is gone. The reason the hotels check I'd is for security. I don't recommend sneaking a girl upstairs.

A couple of answers from someone VERY familiar with the Quito scene:

Takeaway is available with pretty much every female you meet in a club. The only issue is that they have this idea that they're worth $80 an hour outside the club but only $20 inside. So negotiate the price. You also have to pay the club. Be sure to secure all of your money and valuables BEFORE you go out to the club. These girls WILL STEAL from you if they see an easy opportunity. Otherwise, they're fairly safe to be around.

The area surrounding La Carolina is safe, but not inside the park itself. It is probably the most expensive area of Quito, with businesses and high end hotels. There is NO street action around La Carolina, and no seedy hourly hotels. Perhaps a few blocks west, up the hill to 10 de Agosto. Nothing at all on the east side of La Carolina.

Fellow mongerers, what is your opinion of the you tube channel showing tours of the clubs?

Personally, I like his approach with listing a Google map location, a review of the place, and the costs. However, it is clear that he utilized a hidden camera, and everyone being recorded were unaware of the recording. That is what troubles me. I think it's awesome to be able to see exactly what the clubs are like during business hours, and the merchandise being offered. But I would not like my face in one of these videos, and I'm sure these guys wouldn't either. What do you guys think?
