Venndia: Great to see you ventured into all sectors...

Thanks for your favorable comments. Had it not been for your reviews my first adventure in South America might have been to Peru or Columbia. Those destinations will have to wait until my next trip.

For an experienced monger (but newbie to Quito) you need to make this trip high on your bucket list. It is as different from Pattaya as Frankfurt is from Fields Avenue. I really enjoy a different venue – something to challenge myself. If you prepare for this trip you will have a great time.

18 days is not that long but I completely enjoyed the slice of Ecuador that I visited. For a 25 pennies you can get to almost anywhere in town. For 600 pennies you can have a casual relationship. For 2000 pennies you can have some of the hottest ladies in Ecuador.

Some people may be put off by the short sessions but again I was never rushed. In Germany a 30-minute session at an FKK MEANS 30 minutes (most of the time). That was not my experience in Quito. Don’t let the altitude worry you. Don’t let the local politics worry you. Watch out for pickpockets though.

I still think about the day I sat down for lunch at BK and the ultra hot non-pro sat down next to me and struck up a conversation. The locals are very nice, pretty conservative but tolerant people that are not used to thinking of Quito as a tourist destination for middle class North Americans. As such they are curious about us but respectful as well.

Just a comment about medical issues – I have also been very lucky although I do use condoms. I have good friends that have also been lucky that almost never uses them. It is all a mater of statistics and I hate to gamble. This may sound sappy but I also do it for the girls. They are just trying to make a living in a tough world and I don’t want to add to their troubles. My motto is "Have fun and do no harm. " Words we can all live by.

STDs Update: Venndia inspires an update of my story. Context: 2.5 years, 8 countries (Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, Colombia), with many sessions ranging from Ecuador's chongos to Rio's Vila Mimosa to Medellin's La Mayorista to scores of others. Returned home it was due time to be tested for STDs in August 2008.

HIV, syphillis, chlamydia, gonorrhea: all negative. I plan to get follow up tests and a full medical shortly.

I remain convinced South America's enlightened approach to legalized prostitution works. The developing countries of South America have lower HIV infection rates among pros than Canada, the US and East Asia. Ecuador and Colombia are extremely low by comparison to Canada-US-East Asia.

This also reinforces my conviction while the environments of fuck-fast enterprises may be less than desirable (but what fun!), it is only the environment that is unclean, not the chicas. Going by the std stats and from experience, I would prefer to hump a Latina pro in a slum than an American or Canadian pro in the ritz.

Never did I come across warts, skin mites or another external little beastie. From my first session in Touch Me onwards I was always on the lookout for evidence of such items.

As reported earlier in 2006 I did pick up an infection in Quito. A condom broke. Doxycycline tablets (for chlamydia), a shot of spectinomycin in the ass (for gonorrhea), cured. I was never tested, so was it chlamydia? Or was it a more common urinary tract infection? I will never know what type of bacteria for sure (but this is splitting hairs, it's all bacteria). The 2006 throat infection I suspected was gonorrhea (from DFK), a doc in 2008 said not a chance it was gonorrhea. Ok. So what did I have? Again, never tested, popped some pills, it went away, so I will never know.

In retrospect, also to provide context for others where fear and ignorance reign, I would gladly and voluntarily take chlamydia, gonorrhea or even (short-term) syphillis infections over other items like malaria or amoebic dysentry. The formers are minor discomforts, if you feel anything at all, while the latters are soul-destroying fuckers.

Some might get 'weirded out' by a minor STD, even by the thought of it. Pre-2006, that was me. Post-2006, not me. When you have experienced worse then minor STDs are tame. Chalk it up to experience.

Well, both are now open again, verified personally.

Business is low and chicas are few, but that may be just Carnaval hang over.

One recommendation: always carry some picture ID in case these raids continue. DO NOT carry your passport on you. Simply enter any Notary (they are all over town) and get a certified copy of the ID page and the Ecuador entry stamp page. Should cost about 3-5 US$. Carry this copy all the time.

Remember: prostitution and it's consumption are LEGAL in Ecuador. So show the ID and get out. No ID = Police problems.

Week three – the adventure continues (part 3b)

I had to break this last report in two parts.

+++As I wind down my trip there are a few things I always like to do. Even though I always use condoms I like to self medicate before I head home. Like most reasonable countries medicines that require prescriptions in the US are available freely in Quito Pharmacies. This is what I suggest. At the end of your trip grab 3 daily doses of 500 mg Azithromycin (for Chlamydia and gonorrhea) as well as one 2. 4 million units of penicillin (for syphilis). The azithromycin is oral; don’t forget the syringe for the penicillin. What about herpes, human papilloma virus (warts), HIV, and other stuff not yet in the medical literature? You should have worn a condom.

+++OK we all have joked about the frequency in which these places change bed sheets. Seriously, there can be a risk of scabies (skin mites that cause itchy pumps). Scabies are common among people who live in overcrowded conditions, and practice bad hygiene. Lotions containing 5% permethrin should be applied to the irritated area, and left on for at least a day. Any pharmacy in Quito or the US will have it. One topical application is usually sufficient, although the scabicide may be reapplied after a week if mites remain. I had no problem but it would be perfectly reasonable if you did.

+++You might want to also stock up on your libido meds and if you are at war with the bulge Xenical and Meridia are cheep in Quito. Maybe a buck per pill.

+++I have to mention a restaurant. Heading North on Amazonas you will notice a bull fighting ring (Plaza de Toro) on your left. Just before there – on the left at the cross road Isla Tortuga is a place called "Chuchucaras Traditicion". They have a bunch of traditional Ecuadorian food (no guinea pig though) and the lady in charge is great. She gave us a bunch of free samples and twice as much food as anyone could possibly eat.

+++In Thailand public displays of affection are unusual. This is Latin America, you will probably blush as young couples embrace on the streets. If you are lucky enough to land a lady that really likes you then you may need hospitalization when you are done.

+++Beer – I am more of a water drinker in bars but here is my take on the local brews.

+++++++Pilsner –It is the most common beer I’ve seen and is what its name implies. It is a pilsner/lager that will be very familiar to American drinkers and perfectly acceptable to my palate.

+++++++Zenda – another pilsner with what I consider an unpleasant after taste. On a hot day you will not turn this one down but I would go the previous brew.

+++++++Conquer – This is a stronger (hoppier) lager that I prefer but may not be for everyone. Give it a try and see if you like it.

+++++++Brahma – a nice finish to this lager. Decent competitor to Pilsner. Lighter amber than the others.

41 ladies in 18. 5 days. Not a huge number but great fun. I don’t mean this in a demeaning way but having sex for me is like shooting hoops. It is just good physical exercise that can involve a GFE if you are lucky. Two clubs really dominated my list because they had a good group of ladies and reasonably nice rooms. I would have been to Touch Me more often if the rooms were better.

I am used to Thailand and the Philippines where the clubs are much closer together and someone is always available 24/7 so Quito was more of a challenge – BUT well worth the challenge. You may be turned off by the 15 minute sessions but don’t be. The ladies will almost never rush you and will get down to business as soon as you get to the room. GFE are much less common than Thailand or the Philippines but not rare. Many girls will sit with you before and after a session. If you speak Spanish GFE may be more common. Do not let the altitude scare you. It is a minor issue that gives you bragging rights to your other buddies. Maybe Tung should sell a t-shirt that says, "Quito mongerers do it with one lung. "

This is not like any place you have likely been before. Tung and his buddies have made this an easy destination for us. Take advantage of their maps, timetables, quality reports, trolley stops, etc. And enjoy a very different venue. There are tones of things to do while you are not mongering. Week three – the adventure continues (part 3a)

I could not leave Quito without saying what a big help Tung and his buddies have been. I would have never found clubs that are a block from my hostel if it had not been for them. Quito is a great tourist destination no matter what you hobbies. Read the posts, print the maps, enjoy!

+++Sunday – Anyone familiar with the Quito reports knows that Sunday is a real challenge for mongers. Tung notes that there are only 11 clubs open Sunday and some of those can be unreliable or lower rung. This time I decided to head south to the Classico El Sud Del Marajha, Madona Night Club, and A-Club area on Av Mariscal Antonio Jose de Sucre around 2:30. It was pretty dead. I only saw one of them open but the others could have been as well. The one I picked was a bar with a bunch of locals drinking beer and a half a dozen scantily clad ladies milling about. None of them were doable so I hopped on a bus and moved on. The one I was on stopped at the top of Ave. La Gasca where Club Medellin is located. This time is was open but there was only one lady on duty. Alesandra was 23 and kind of cute and since we were the only ones there, other than the security guard it was very informal and not rushed.

+++Monday – I went to the airport to drop my buddy off and we stopped in at Mangos. This place is off of Amazonas and just below ground level. It actually has a sign with the shape of a mango to help – somewhat unusual in Quito to have a sign. There was no cover charge (1pm) because the doorman explained there were only 2 chickas. But what a surprise. One was a very pretty but a bit to chunky black lady. My choice was a tall blonde (fake but pretty realistic) lady. She was thin and had a face like a model (forgot her name but she would be obvious in any club). Her breasts were a nice B size but a bit deflated by her baby. Her C-section mark was almost invisible. She was not particularly warm but I think it was because after 5 months she was still not really over the idea of working in a place like this. If you are embarrassed at the number of times you hit Rojo you have to at least give this place a try. OOOOOOk, so after a quick snack I went back to Rojo. There are just to many doable ladies her – I’m sorry I am addicted. My 2nd of the day was Pamela, 24, dark skin, D-cup, very pretty face. She said this was her 1st day but acted very professional. She performed wonderfully and had a great attitude. Monica was my third and last of the day. She was short even in high heals and had the cutest little butt. Her tits were small but oh so firm – yup she was 18 – but had been working there for 5 months.

+++Tuesday – I got up early and walked around town. I had a nice breakfast – and started looking for places that were open early. Big mistake – I violated Tung rule number one – consult the map and reports – all of the information is there. Cheers and La Dolce Vita (a sentimental favorite for me – I lost my P4P cherry at the German FKK La Dolce Vita many years ago) were both closed (both have signs at least). The funny thing Tung never mentioned is that Cheers is right across from a Seminary. It must make it difficult to study. At 3pm Masaje Medillin was open but the 6 on staff were not to my liking (except the one I had before). I walked to Nightclub Sala VIP. I was pretty horny at that point so I did one there that was below my usual standards. The hot lady from before was nowhere to be seen. I wondered down to Club 122 and it was full of good lookers that I missed before. I had Yana (I think that was her name. She was 24 but looked 18 and had been there for 15 months. Cute, liked to laugh, small ass and tits but a real moaner. I had another dark native South American who repeated her name three times and I still hasn’t a clue what she said. She was not your classic beauty – Incan nose and a bit stocky. I noticed while we were in quarto (doggie) that her lower back skin had numerous stretch marks but it didn’t look like she had a baby. The stretched areas were gringo white. I then headed back to Mariscal and had a haircut ($2) and massage ($10/1hr) at a hole in the wall barber shop on Amazonas. The lady giving the massage was not hot so I was able to focus on relaxation. I suggest it to anyone visiting Quito. These barbershop/salons are everywhere and I suspect the story is the same in each one. After a leisurely dinner at an Irish pub on Pinto (try the Ulster breakfast) I went over to Body (also has a sign). Some good news as I am entering – the fee is only $2. There were a few nice looking ladies and a bunch that didn’t meet the mark. One of the acceptable ones but not the best came over and would not leave. Ximera spoke no English and had a nervous hyper personality that turned me off after just a few minutes. Then her very tall but overweight friend came over and she spoke perfect English. She told me that the girl I was talking to was from Columbia and would do anything I wanted – for $40. I wasn’t interested at that price so I politely told her that I needed to finish my water and rest. The price came down to $25 but I still held my ground. OK- how about $20 – no holes bared. At that price how could I say no. She had a pretty face, black hair, pale skin, and a nice figure for a woman I would estimate was a little over 30. Once in the room the maid asked for a $1 propina. I played dumb and she gave up. I was expecting things to go down hill from there but I was happily wrong. Off came the clothes and after a little lubrication she delivered on her promise. She gave me a card with her name and number scribble with a wax pencil. All in all it was a good session but I prefer picking the girls not having them pick me. There was a much cuter younger girl that I would have rather picked but it was a fine way to end the evening.

+++Wednesday. I decided to try a club I hadn’t been to yet. Las Diosas. There were only three chickas there and only one above my minimum standard. The discussion was odd – the rate was $1/min. I said OK, 15 minutes and she pushed for longer. Sex was good and the rooms are big and fairly clean with a real bathroom but afterwards she asked for a propina. I pretended not to understand and she gave up. I needed to have lunch and it was raining – excuses excuses – so I pulled into Burger King. I sat down at one of those two seat by two seat tables that I normally avoid. My good luck was that a 20 something beautiful girl sat down kitty corner from me. We ate half our meal and said nothing. They the ice was broken and we started talking. She is an interior designer that has been all over the US speaks perfect English and loves Americans – unfortunately this included her active boy friend. I suspect she just wanted to talk but it boosted my ego several notches. I headed back down to Club 122 and stayed until 7:30. I had three more chickas there Daniela, 19, been there 5 months, Karen fake blonde 18 been there 1 week, and another). This time it was very difficult to find one that was good looking that I had not already had. I picked one that looked a bit sad and thought she would be a challenge. Not so, she took my money and then sat at the bar waiting for a room to open. After about 5 minutes of her ignoring me I asked for the cambio and the ticket (which she gladly gave me) and picked a different chicka. I watched her most of the rest of the evening and she might have had one customer. Maybe she just wasn’t in the mood and it was my good luck to find out before we went into the room. All in all, I really like Club 122 but I think I have had enough.

+++Thursday – I decided that I had not given the North end of town fair consideration. I had no trouble finding the are this time and marched into Club Casanova. It is pretty much a dive with shitty hot rooms – but I did find good company in one of them. I picked Richelle, 26 but looked much younger. She was picked up once while I sipped my water and once as we were walking out of the room. Honestly, I thought she was nice but that was ridiculous. I wondered over to Club Maque de Sade. Just a management suggestion. If those big guys hanging out in front of the club are security then have them look the part. I can understand why my buddy was frightened before. My first pick was Venessa or something like that. What I liked was that she was thin. Most of the rest of the girls here are. Well. Plump. God I wish they would wear underwear. Those big bubble butts hanging out of those skin-tight outfits are a real anti incentive. I blocked thoughts of them from my mind and enjoyed Venessa. Just as I was coming out of our room I spotted Idea (sp) – unfortunately so did somebody else and I had to wait for her to return. She was wearing a ultra short skirt and had DD tits. I am not usually all that interested in a big set but they looked real good on her.

+++Friday – I headed back up north to see if I could continue my good fortune and I found two new clubs. You can read about them in my previous post but one, Club Gente Bonita, is well worth a stop. I just went to the next of the three clubs, Club Alondras. I picked Iliana, 22 years old, small breasts but pretty face and very dark chocolate skin. She had only been working for a month and was still shy. She was sitting in a group of four ugly fat girls essentially hiding. It was a nice experience but it reinforced my impression that you will usually have a better time when you pick girls that are smiling and trying to find business rather than the ones that are hiding from sight. I strolled up the hill to locate Divas and came across Club Gente Bonita. In my opinion, this is a nicer club than either of the three further down the hill. I stayed the rest of the afternoon there and had two more ficas, They were Neyela (that was the name tattooed on her ass – not sure if it was her name) age 20 and petite curly black haired Ferndanda (? ) 20 also. Neyela does every position but missionary and seems to like switching every couple of minutes. When we were done she pointed to her ass and said next time here, no problema. Now she tells me! Ferndanda is a very short very light girl with a new unflattering piercing in her cheek. She said it was sore so she couldn’t give me a blowjob – never know what is inside holding that thing on her face.

Aw man, and I was planning on visiting Quito in April, bah.

Oh well I've heard of some places in guayaquil, that will have to do until they open 122 and cafe rojo again.

And yes we shall see about the new currency, honestly if that happens it'll be a last resort move, I really really can't see the president changing the currency and remaining as a president way too sensitive of a subject.

Given that Senor Chavez finally admitted that Venezeula economy is completely in the tank, and Colombia peso falling daily, I would imagine that Ecuador, being completely underpriced on any other exports besides oil, and oil being in the tank, is really hurting bad, leading to either a), a large increase in chicas and/or b) a return to their own currency.

Any comments from those on the ground?

A) I don't see the economy being so bad that more chicas will start showing up, after easter it's common to see an increase in chicas, not due to the economy, ecuador does not have that many international companies like China where this crisis affects them by seeing layoffs and what not.

Also, it has been mentioned before, the new immigration laws are making it really hard for colombians to enter ecuador, so an increase is chicas from that front is hard as well.

B) return to their own currency will NEVER happen, even before the crisis, people were talking about going back and if looks could kill, these people would be dead already, no there's a LOT of stability with the Dollar and this is something people appreciate no matter how bad the economy gets. The president put a hold on imports and increased taxes all in order to stop the mighty dollar from leaving the country and keeping reserves here.

So no in both instances.

I'm heading down for my first trip soon. I've been reading the posts and doing my homework but can't get a sense of the best places to stay, places that are chica friendly and central to the chongos.

Is there a ground zero like the Gulch in Costa Rica? Any thoughts will be appreciated.

The Chalet Suisse is in the middle of the Marischal night life scene and the bar in the basement, Subway, has a few working girls until the sun comes up. I checked out a top floor corner room. The view was amazing. The street below is jammed and very loud on the weekend. Others on here have said it is girl friendly and I have no reason to believe it isn't. The casino is closed inside or I would say it is like a mini Hotel del Rey. The room itself was the same basic quality.

Don't forget that $8 usd is usually only for 15 to 20 minutes at a Quito/Ecuador chongo.

My best rate ever was 10-20 usd for the whole night (or longer) in the Philippines.
That was years ago and has likely been fucked up by over-spenders.

It still sounds like many place still exist with TLN at decent rates.

I tend to agree with your definition about getting the best bang for buck.
I know though that there are plenty of other mongerers who will differ on that.

I concur with Mr. Bobisee. If you are just comparing countries purely for mongering, then The Philippines beats Ecuador hands down, I can't believe it didn't make Topgun22's list. It's not really a fair comparison, to be honest; they're two different mongering worlds. And you can still get TLN for $25 or so in the Phils, no worries there. Just don't end up marrying the girls like a lot of idiots do, that's where it gets expensive!

Having said that, I would much rather spend an extended stay/long vacation in Ecuador rather than The Phils. It's safer, the food is better, the culture is more interesting, they speak a language I understand (anyone speak Tagalog here??), and I think latinas are hotter overall.

But if you look at the two locales only as a budget monger, what's a better deal, $8 for 15 minutes with a "9" in Quito or $25 for TLN with a "7" in The Philippines?

I think a hotel being chica friendly almost always depends on the niteperson. If it's a guy, it's probably OK. If it's a fat lady, probably not. I've had hotels that had no problem one nite and then later said no guests.

Anywhere in gringolandia is fine for touring around the chongos. There are a ton of cheap hotels.
