I'm an Norte Americano. Lived in the DR for half a year; Cali Colombia for a half a year. So I have gotten my bumps along the way. Learning Spanish. And interested in Paraguay.

Sorry for the seemingly pussy questions. Especially for a newbie. But, the German But guy's recent post did little to clarify the subject. Understatement!

I am looking for a place where I would like to hang out, do a little mongering, a little partying. And along the way meet real people. So, my questions is more tourist / non pro centered.

Can we start a recent thread discussing the people and how they behave to gringos. Men and women. Really, I am looking for a little insight into the types of things that would best prepare me for a 2. 3 week long visit. Probably, no wingman. But, that's OKAY. I make friends quick. Plus, I am lucky.

Most women seem to be into European men for a change.
PY women/people are hmm.. just a bit weird when they see extranjeros imo. Some dont act polite, when I just say "Hola/Buenos Dias", many ignore me cause Iam extranjero. It just pisses me off, what did I do?
There is no chemistry, maybe its just me.
But Iam usually not that pessimistic like it sounds.

Actually you guys should be thankful, Iam only 24, not 40 and not going to PY, like a tourist who isolates himself in his hotel and ocasionally visits the casa masaje and leaves back to wifey the next day. I try to get something out of the places I stay. Can u hear me? Only Confidence is key.

Probs to Johan who decided to settle down here, I wont do that, the culture barrier seems too big here. Of course there are openminded people but they are too few here. PY is too traditional, other places are more global I believe.

now to my latest (annoying) experience in club africa last friday. i went there with my py buddy, entry is 10.000 (2 $) per person, which is very cheap.

so far, so good. i checked out the location and the people, lots of teenagers, which is not all that bad in this case. music is definetly too loud.

you can't really talk to somebody so i tried my luck and tried to take a girl to dance with me. she was one of the only girls dancing with another girl and not with a guy, which happened to be her sister (or thats what she told me)

i asked her several questions. name, age, kids, usual stuff, she probably lied at all, maria, 22, 4 kids. haha.

she asked me to buy beer, and dumb as iam i did so. i danced with her, then her sister asked me to buy more beer, not realizing they were both toying with me like a stupid dog. she suddenly said she was going to the toilette, and that i should wait for her. she didn't come back. i punched my fist at the wall, about me being so naive, then funnily the security took me out, because they thought i wanted to harm someone, haha! one policeman came and treated me with handcuffs if i didn't leave the place. i was able to avoid this situation when i left, but in that moment the worst part of the whole night came right into my face, when i walked away a bit i saw the same girl in some mercedes with an ugly old man and i thought if i was in the wrong movie.

when i walked to my hotel, i saw other ****d putas and some wannabes with mostly mercedes/bmw around them. (as if this is the status for money, they probably didn't buy the cars by themself)

i was in such a bad mood that i insulted some putas. well i was a bit drunk at that point as well.

conclusion: the gringo thing is overrated. py people drive our cars to boost themself, but their women are too dumb to value a european man.

maybe i try mexico next year. buenos aires should be better too.

I'm a foreigner here in Asuncion. I'm here since quite some times, so I understand that sometimes you can be fed up of Paraguay. But you have to play with the local rules, like don't go near the Mercado 4 or on Eusebio Ayala to find girl or Fuck house. It's not a good place, like The terminal area also. Even for the local people it's no so safe. Basicaly in the center you've got the best places for that. And the girls are better than there also.

Actually, if you go on the websites that Pija666 give you, you will find these places. Otherwise just ask me, we can make a tour one day.
