day 4:

Here are my experiences of Asuncion.

Street sceene. Cruised on Sunday night in a Taxi in the centre of Asuncion. It was about 22:00. I found it too intimidating to get out of the Taxi. I do not think it was safe, so I did not sample any street walking action.

Rerurned to my 5-star hotel, it was called Excelior, talked to the bell-boy and he gladly agreed to organise me a chika. He wanted $100 USD, but I hagled we agreen on $80.

Half an hour later they send 2 chikas to my room: a brunette and a fake blonde. Decided to go for a blonge, and have a quick shag before sending her away and going to sleep.

The next morning the hotel boy told me that ALL the europeans who stay in the hotel always order chikas, americas very rarely.

There is an OK internet place right next door Hotel Asunción Palace (2000 PYG for 20 Minutes), there is plenty of others across downtown. There are many ATM's (not tested) and plenty of official casas de cambio.
They exchange USD, EURO, YEN and other major currencies.
Many people here use mobile phones, myself I don't.

I'm one month away from my trip to Asunçion and I'm wondering about what kind of money to bring along. In Brazil cash advances are no problem, but what about Asunçion? One ATM locator website tells me there are over 90 ATM machines in Asunçion ...

Day 1:

Flew from Sao Paulo to Asunción with TAM-Mercosur in the morning (Fokker F100) and that flight was packed.
Immigration wasn't an issue, customs clearance very easygoing but right after customs just before the exit to the arrival hall another nasty VIPoliceman rechecked passports and asked questions like "where are you from", "purpose of your trip", "how long and where are you staying", "when and how will you leave"...
That's why I like to remind everybody that it is important to understand and speak some Spanish in those countries. Btw I never expected that international airport to be such a small one, its size reminds me the one in Tupelo (Mississippi, USA). Once inside the arrival hall, there is a lot of taxi drivers, "rental car pimps" and "change money"-guys jumping on you. Exchange rate at the airport is bad, 1 USD=5400 PYG. The official rate downtown Asunción is about 1 USD=6100 PYG. The Taxi (Mercedes-Benz) from the Airport to Hotel Asunción Palace took 70000 PYG which is 11 USD or 9.76 €.
I just went there without a previous reservation, without knowing about any vacancies and I've got a large suite discounted from 40 down to 28 USD, now that's a deal.

Hotel Asunción Palace is nicely located at the corner of "Estrella y Colon" and near "Palma", the main streetwalker hangouts. As I did plenty of research before the trip, I saved quite some data of internet girls for offline browsing. After getting streetwise during the afternoon (with temperatures of 104°F or 40°C) I went back to the Hotel for a shower and then called Vero (Asunsex.com.py), phone 0971-239373.
They actually have several girls there (two when I showed up) and charge 150000 PYG or 25 USD per hour. Vero wasn't there so I took Claris (a cute perky blonde) and had a double shot within the hour. A little DFK, and BBBJ but a lot of DATY.

I will be travelling around South America soon and will be in Asuncion at the end of October for a while. I can probably only visit one or two places due to other commitments and wonder where you guys would go if you only had one night in Asuncion? Which is your favourite club/girl? Asuncion is the cheapest city in the world and I am looking at anything below US$50.

About top models

I have seen high end call girls here in NYC working the hotel bars on the East side and they are fetching a couple grand a night.If these Siren girls were here in NYC I pretty sure they would easily fall in the same catagory.

I agree, but between Paraguay and NYC, there's the visa, the blank marriage, the bribes, the fake passports, you name it : and these things cost tens of thousands of dollars. There's a huge investment to be payed back once the girl has landed.

Think about drugs : would you pay 300 dollars for a gram of c*ke in Cali - or Asunçión, for all I know - only because that's the street price in NYC? You wouldn't, of course, you would pay 10 times less and it would taste just as good (better, in fact).

In West Africa, you get to meet those gorgeous black girls who definitely qualify as top models (1.80 m = 70.8 inches tall, if the girl is smaller she doesn't qualify as a "top" model, not in my book). They know from TV programs that they could make a fortune 40° of latitude further North but they don't expect to get paid much more than the local going rate as long as they're stuck in mum and dad's country.

Not only that, I noticed "model" doesn't mean a thing in such countries: all the best looking girls regard themselves as "models", not only because they have the looks, but because that's the only career they can legitimately aspire to owing to their lack of education.
