IF you visit Brasil from outside PY make sure you get an EXIT stamp in your passport. AND and entry stamp from the brasilians!

I didn't (some stupid PY customs officer told me this wasn't necesary! ). And got hassled on my way back to PY by the brasilian custom guys and one woman:.(I was lucky NOT to get fined and I could talk my way out of it after half an hour. One female brasilian custom officer was extremely nasty and if she had her way I would have been expelled back to my homecountry by airplane! (just imagine that.)

We went in/out Brasil from CDE and were never stoped by the customs on the bridge although our luggage was visible. Our taxi drivers told us not need to.

It's a pity if you didn't go to the Argentinian side. It"s very beautifull too.
There you have to stamp the passport. The Argentinians I mean not the Brasilians. They never bothered us. Maybe we were lucky or things have changed.

in addition, the asunsex website has a section for "moteles" which lists seven, including the mirage which it appears johan stayed at. it has location, price and even room pictures.

but johan showed the price list for damaged items. wow, those are some expensive mirrors.

yes i spend 2 days in brasil (foz de iguazu) and 1 day in cde.

i was at the famous waterfalls. and also at the largest waterpowerplant at itaipu.

somewere along the road i catched the famous "[CodeWord116]"bacteria. and got sick with diaree for almost 4 days. due to that my stay was very limited to the toilets:.(besides that i had my gf with me. so i could not check out any casas or putas in brasil.

however i could notice on the whole range that prices in brasil were way higher as in py.

one busdriver told me many brasilian men went to cde for short fuck trips. needles to say why this is.

cde also has many shops for electronic hardware and many malls. strangly foz is bigger then cde and only has one large mall. ! many brasilains and also argentinians visit cde to buy electronic stuff, cigarettes and fuel up their cars.

i didn't went to concepcion as there is very little to do and it's very hot. the city only has about 50. 000 people and is located at 4 hours drive from asuncion.

And San Lorenzo the place is full with these motels. Usualy cheap. 26. 000 G for an hour and a half (I made a pic of the pricelist so you guys can see this). Adding 7-8ooo G for an extra hour! They was clean. Safe. And equiped with full cable TV with 3 different porn channals (LOL).

the motels downtown asuncion are usualy shitty. crappy true pieces of shitholes. not recomendable. although i went inside one of them just for kicks. mostly they are also more expensive as the ones you'll find outside asuncion. any taxista will know were a good and cheap motel is to be found.

as seen in the last pic there is a board on which you can communicate with the roomservice. a phone, handling the speed of the fan (in my case there was only an airco). and aircondicioning. after checking out. they check the room. and if all is ok you can leave the premesis. (jeee is that spelled corectly? )

Well I knew it was goning to be tricky with Alitalia. And it was. I had to wait 10 (! ) fucking hours at the airport in Duesseldorf. Untill I could fly off to Frankfurt. And from there to Sao Paulo.

Right now I am in asuncion. Hotel Palmas del sol. And sofar I like it.

One thing I did noticed. PY women are SHY! I would say even downright timid. ! OOO man what a difference with DR, Panama or Colombia.

Do not sweat it about not speaking any Guarani, because in Asuncion the Guarani language is not heavily used, and there are in fact a fair percentage of the population in Asuncion that do not speak Guarani at all. Spanish of the same dialect spoken in Buenos Aires is used and is spoken by everyone in Asuncion. Out in the countryside (which is hardcore thirdworld) Guarani is used almost exclusively and there are communities that only speak Guarani. Watch what you eat in Asuncion, only eat in top level dining establishments as I got typhoid fever from eating substandard food at Excelsior Mall. In addition, I recommend getting phone numbers from the girls you meet at the privados during the day if you want any night action, because there is essentially NO nighttime mongering scene in Asuncion (there are girls at the Yacht and Golf Casino, but they want $100-$200 USD, a total ripoff when a hot chica from the privados want $25 USD per hour). Also, check out mercado cuatro and the electronics mall next to Unicentro, you can pick up some electronics cheap, and there are hard to find electronics at reasonable prices (nintendo wii, unlocked Iphones, etc)
