Well, I've just gotten back to Buenos Aires, but thought I'd leave a quick final report while the info is fresh in my head.

While not quite the sex heaven I was hoping for, there were some real highlights. It's weird, both the best and worst were in the park. The independent chica I got from Andrea was still by far the best of them all.

The Boliches were hit and miss for me. Some good, some bad. Luckily the price was so cheap, that even a miss wasn't anything to get upset about.

One thing that I really enjoyed was the lack of tourists. Virtually no Americans seem to come here, and while I saw signs for McDonalds here, never actually ran into one, or a Starbucks.

In the Rodizio category, I liked Paulista Grill the most. Bolsi restaurant was a very solid place, with a big menu. La Preferida was also quite good, with much fewer items, but presented very nicely. I did list the wrong cross-streets for it, it is 25 de Mayo and EEUU. It's owned by the hotel at the other address (1 block away) that I gave.

Favorite non-mongering bar was 904 Asuncion. (904 Cerro Cora). Nice staff, excellent food, reasonable prices. I tried about half their menu items and thought most very good. The Pizza was excellent. Prices did go up about 10% last week, but still reasonable. (18k-22k for small pizzas). I ate at the Brittania Pub down the street a couple of times, and the food, while cheaper, was just very uninspiring.

I'm always looking for a place that I wouldn't mind retiring to. I think I could comfortably live in Asuncion. Probably not in the Centro section, as I find the mix of vacant stores and night time ghost town a bit much for me.

Thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions one what places to try out. I'm a pretty low volume mongerer, and try to relax and explore the city some, at a slow pace.

When walking near Naomi Productions on EEUU/Cerro Cora, I noticed a green door near an optometrist that said Estetica Corporal/Masaje. I rang the timbre and a middle age lady answered.

Price for a massage is 50k per hour, and her name is Ana. I tried back a couple of other times, but never got an answer at the timbre. I had gotten her card, so gave it a call (021) 211-678, and set an appointment.

Another recommendation from Westy. This is a bar/nightclub that has a number of freelancers hanging around.

I got here just before midnight. The place was about half full at that point. About evenly split between couples and single groups of chicas. There are a few different seating areas, in the back a raised seating area, with the bar and lot of tables with padded seats.

The place is pretty dark. Drinks are a bit expensive, water/Coke is 9k/10k. Whiskey 25k. They didn't want to make change for 100k, until I bought my second drink.

The place has a diverse mix of chicas. Over half of the chicas appear to be 30+ years old. About 20% are not chicas I'd fuck. A few were pretty hot, but most were average. The darkness made it hard to check them out well until you got them right in front of you.

This restaurant is right next to the gas station, and around the corner from the Paulista Grill.

I went around 9:45pm on Friday. Only about 40 people in the restaurant (this place can seat 1000). Great service, and they immediately bring lots of meat to you.

Decent salad bar, and dessert bar. I'd say that the noquis were probably my favorite items here. Similar to Paulista, but a notch below.

They have free wifi here, and pricing was the same as Paulista. 68k. Non-alcoholic drinks 6.5k.

The meat quality was pretty good, though a few cuts had a bit of a gamey taste. Their chicken was excellent, and not overcooked like the one I had at Paulista. I saw about a dozen different types of meat, compared to the 20 or so at Paulista. There is a possibility that they have less meats during the week.

Given the same pricing, I'd probably go with Paulista Grill, however there isn't a huge difference, and the service was great.

I had stopped by the restaurant a week ago, but they had closed. They have a downstairs restaurant, but wanted the nicer version upstairs.

Finally, I was around during lunch when they were still open. This is the upstairs restaurant, and is very similar to the Bolsi restaurant.

Very nice presentation, excellent breadbasket with warm bread, plus some bruschetta topping for the toasted bread slices and butter.

I was in the mood for a steak, so got a nice steak with mushrooms. Cost was 60k. Also got the Alaska ice cream dessert. No bread/cubierto charge here.

Excellent quality meat, and service. I'd put the quality a tiny bit higher than Bolsi. Total with water and dessert were about 80k.

A quick post here on Iguazu.

Iguazu is not in Paraguay. It has a Brazil side and an Argentine side. It is not possible or very hard to get to Iguazu without going thru Brazil. I think a Brazil visa is now necessary, as border controls are stronger all the time. In any case, I don't think I would risk going into Brazil without the visa with all the crap around the frontier.

If you go, you are probably better off researching a stay in a hotel in Foz do Iguazu, Brazil. It has much better tourist facilities than Ciudad del Este.

The bus trip Asuncion-Ciudad del Este is about 6 hours and there are good busses. I wouldn't go or arrive at night in Ciudad del Este. Foz do Iguazu is accross the river from Ciudad del Este. There are various bus and taxi options to get there.

Went here yesterday afternoon. Prices were 80k 30 min, 100k 45, 120k 60 min.
