Hi, Guys.

I'm headed to Buenos Aires this September. I plan on stopping in Asuncion on my way back. Currently planning on staying in the Plaza Hotel. Someone posted in the archives that they had stayed there before.

Definitely going to check out the street scene. Will post a report when I return. Hopefully, a good one.

OK Nibus, don't get upset with me about prices. I just quoted you the ones I read on the newspaper! I wouldn't pay US $500either!

I have a girlfriend in Asuncion so I don't have too much oportunity to check on girls. So I can not give you all the information that your looking for. The newspaper had adds for braziliean and argentinean girls but it didn't quote a price.

I have to agree with you on the web site but Paraguay is one of the poorest countries so the infraestructe is not there. I don't think there any more web sites.

I usually call for a girl and I don't pay more than 50,000 guaranies per hour, last time it was a beautiful 18yr blonde girl.

There are a few night clubes on downtown, address on the newspaper, and *****houses. I haven't been to either of them. The city is trying to close or move the *****houses to Lambare but again, the action is on the street after dark, plenty of girls from young beautiful girls to old women...

I haven't been to Chaco. Ciudad del Este has plenty of paraguayan girls walking the streets. Ciudad del este borders with Foz de Iguazu on the brazilean side and Iguazu on the argentinean side. I have been to Iguazu. I can not tell you of *****houses but plenty of working girls. I imagine that Foz will have its share of girls...

I don't remember where but I read that the street walkers in Asuncion were being forced of the streets. All sex venues were being moved to Lamburi.

Hi guys, since I travel to Asuncion very often I'll give you the latest info.

For websites check www.secretos.com.py and for the newspaper get "Noticias".

The newspaper has prices from 50,000 guaranies (US $9) to US $500 for "model" types.

Yes the for action the street is correct but it doesn't start until 8:00PM. The streets are Palma and Estrella, this is downtown.

There is another street called Mariscal Lopez and there are a lot of girls on the street also, you'll find from all kind of girls on both places. On the Mariscal Lopez area you'll find the hotels by the hour, the range is from the cheapest one (less than US $10) to the luxurie ones (jacuzzi, pool, etc) US $30 for one hour and half.

Hey NIBU -- wish I could be more help. I"ve read you rmany posts in the various S AMerican sections and you deserve a better answer than this.

Buuut, being that Paraguay is so third world, I'd bet that this basic treatise still holds.

In other words: the street action is still (and will continue to be) the best action in Asuncion.

I could be wrong... but I think your in for a really big and happy surprise when you show up and see the cheap, clean talent on those streets.

(This report is about 8 months old -- it should still be very useful.)

There is some very good, cheap sex to be had in this city.

There are three clubs/whiskerias in town: "Playboy," "Karim" and "Cafe Cito" -- all fairly close to each other and all downtown. Admission to each is minimal and the girls generally ask about 60USD/hour for sex. This is of course negoitable. Karim has beds on-site.

"Playboy" is located at 14 Mayo and Estrella. "Karim" is to be found up on 25 Mayo toward and past the large BBBV building. "Cafe Cito" is at the corner of Colon and Palmas -- it has no sign but it is a brick-red building with an A-frame eave.

Each club generally has about ten girls working at any time -- some cute, most not. There are many modest but clean hotels in the area that charge about 3USD/hour (that's not a misprint).

Buuut, the real action here is the street scene -- a scene I usually avoid in other cities. The two main streets in centro, "Las Palmas" and "25 May-Estrella," have maybe 50+ girls walking around on any given night. All are young and clean (which is rare), no visible drug use -- and many were very cute. Prices were 11USD/hour (that, too, is not a misprint).

Many of these girls congregate around Plaza dos Heroes in the main part of the city center. But, too, it's worth walking all the way down to the end of the strip, where "Cafe Cito" is, for many girls are to be found the whole way down.

Incidentally, there are a few really nice sex hotels (not brothels as it is reported on another site) in the suburb of Lambari. If you don't like taking girls back to your room, and the city-center quick-time hotels are beneath your dignity, take them here. Just say "Lambari motel" to a taxi driver. The girl you're with will no doubt know them.

This report should be reasonably close to the majority of the scene to be found in Ascuncion. It's small but good, tending to the low-but-clean end of the market (as Paraguay, itself, is close to a third world nation).
