Posts: 994LAN versus TACA Cusco Flights fo LIMA.
TACA morning flight claim weather condition for delay in the mean time two LAN left for LIMA. Hard to explain what went wrong with TACA on this day. 81% percent rating for being on time for this segment.

When I tried to check-in, I was told that the flight was canceled and I had been re-booked for a flight the next day. LAN Peru offered to pay for my hotel room in Cusco for another night. I pointed outside to the clear skies and asked why my flight was canceled. The agent just shrugged her shoulder.
I then told the agent that I needed to leave today since I had a connecting flight out of Lima to Houston. If I couldn't make my connecting flight, LAN Peru needed to re-book that flight and possibly put me up in a hotel in Lima.
The agent asked to see my flight itinerary to confirm that I had a connecting flight. The agent then "bumped" a passenger off the Cusco. Arequipa flight (which interestingly departed about the same time as my original flight) which continued on to Lima. I made my connecting flight back home, but it was without some pleading.
I was told by someone that LAN Peru planes are always in constant use. If there's a mechanical problem or scheduled maintenance, they have no back-up planes.
Good luck.

Posts: 1968Are delays on Cuzco-Lima route likely?
Hope you guys will forgive me for somewaht unrelated question: I have a flight Cuzco-Lima (LAN) arriving at 12:40PM, and another one LIM-SJO departing at 2:15PM. I heard that flights on the Lima-Cuzco route frequently get delayed. I do realize there is always risk but bad is it really?
Thanks.

There are at least two nightclubs in Cusco but they are not advertised anywhere. In fact, they are quite hidden. One is called Casanova, rather centrally located in a small side street (passaje Grace), almost opposite to Qoricancha. There is no sign and they open late, I think 23:00. The entrance is a metal door and you only know that there is a nightclub because there a few security guys hanging around in front of it. There is also a blue lightbar above the door.
The other nightclub in Cusco that I know of is called Noika. It is very close to the Pachacutek monument (a bit farther from the town center) but again, there are no signs, which makes it difficult to locate the place. Anyway, most taxi drivers will know how to bring you there although I found that some of them play completely stupid when being asked for nightclubs, chicas, chongos, etc. Donīt know why.

Posts: 34Anyone know what's up with those girls around Plaza de Armas who are constantly offering massages? I assume it's cheap and probably not a great massage, but are there extras on offer..?
Also - any strip clubs in Cusco? Or isn't that really a Peruvian thing?
Cheers

Posts: 148I had hardon all night. It can not be altitude. It was drinks, and the fact that I had to do so much hard work turning me off about her at the end.

Posts: 148I had only hanged out 3 places on the main plaza. If you face in front of the big church, these places are on your left.
I don't know their names. They give girls (sometimes guys too) free drink tickets. So, it is good.
When you see a group of hot girls, just follow them and see where they go.

Posts: 96Good story Captain. Which clubs did you frequented ?
It sounds like I'm going to have a good time when I'm there staying a week covering New Year's eve as well. I hope I'll have time to go to see the touristy stuff.
